Abstract

Agrippina Yakovlevna Vaganova(i879~1951)의 活動時期는 크게 둘로 구분된다. 그 첫 시기는 고통스러웠던 無踊手로서의 시기요, 둘째는 革命以後의 指導者로서의 활동시기이다. 바가노바는 1919년부터 敎師로서의 활동을 시작하였으며 1930년부터 1937년까지 Kirov발레단(이전에는 마린스키 발레단이었다.)의 技術擔當 指導者였으며 그 시대의 가장 훌륭한 선생이었다. 그녀의 발레입문서 Fundamentals of Classic Dance (1943년 러시아에서 펴냄)는 세계의 많은 무용수들에게 귀중한 참고가 되고 있다. 바가노바 테크닉은 무용수의 舊式 트레이닝 方法보단 새로운 精神的 "theophysical training (靈과 肉이 混合된 훈련)"을 强調하고 있다. 특히 表現力있는 팔의 놀림, 움직임의 調和로운 柔軟性 강철과 같은 단란한 등판, 고상하고 자연스러운 머리의 位置, 손으로 그리는 것 같은 하나의 스타일 하나의 무용은 바가노바 學校의 뛰어난 傳統이라 그녀는 과장된 움직임을 제거하였고, 쓸데없이 空間을 점유케 하지 않았으며, 제자들로 하여금 정력적이며 활기찬 동작을 하도록 엄격하며 단호하게 가르쳤다. 이러한 트레이닝을 받은 바가노바의 제자들로는 Semyonova, Ulanova, Vetcheslova, Dudins-kaya, Shelest, Kolpakova, Volkova 등을 들 수 있다. 또한 革命後 소비에트 발레에서는 主題選定에서 큰 변화가 일어나게 되었다. 그 변화는 社會的인 目的과 內容을 담은 것을 主題로서 선정해야 하는 것이었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 바가노바가 Kirov 발레단의 監督으로 있는 동안에는 결코 고전 레파토리를 재정하지 않았으며 그것이 過去에 公演되어졌던 것처럼 現在에서도 그대로 表現하려고 시도하였다. 革命後 소비에트의 발레에서는 바가노바의 이러한 노력으로 차츰 社會主義的인 色調를 띤 극단적인 관점이 弱化되었고 오래된 古典-로맨틱한 作品-이 時代的 상황에 맞게 再生되기 시작하였다. 그리하여 최근의 커다란 관심사는 表現的인 마임과 舞踊動作을 훈련시키는 것으로 집중되어졌다. 이같이 바가노바는 接舞的인 측면에도 영향을 미쳤다. 그러므로 本論文에서는 Vaganova M'ethod를 불란서와 이태리의 Cecchetti M'ethod와 比較하여 精神的인 측면을 강조한 그녀의 方法을 알아보고, 제자들의 활동과 그녀가 영감을 불어 넣은 키로프 발레단의 1930年代 作品을 分析해 봄으로써 Vaganova가 Russian Ballet School에 미친 영향을 糾明해 보았다.;The time of Agrippina Yakovlevna Vaganova's (1879∼1951) activity brought to a revolution to Soviet ballet. Her leadership in the field of ballet is Largely divided into two parts. The first is the time of activity when she endured much hardship as an aspiring dancer, the second is the time of activity as a leoder after the revolution Vaganova began teaching ballet from 1919, when she worked as a technique leader in charge of the Kirov Ballet (It was Marinsky Ballet Group before) from 1930 to 1937. She was also the most eminent ballet teacher of the day. Her elementary textbook of Ballet "Fundamentals of classic Dance" (Published in Russia in 1943) furnished many dancers in the world much information. Especially she desires eagerly new theoretical training method freeing herself from the bondge of old dance methods. Expressive arm motion harmonious flexibility of motion, the body like iron, elegant and natural location of head and each style and each dance like drawing a picture are outstanding traditions of the Vaganava Ballet School. She taught severely and firmly students to act energetically and vigorously, and eliminated exaggerated ornaments without occupying space uselessly. Among her students were Semyonova, Ulanova, Vekheslova, Dudinskaya, Shelest, Kolpakova, Volkova. They was instrumental in making the Soviet Ballet an elegant, lyric ballet which has a bold spiritual strength. After the revolution there are changes in the Soviet Ballet, its main change is in the selection of theme. Although they should have social aim and content in a great many works, she never changed classical repertories and tried to have them expressed as they had been played before, during her tenure in charge of Kirov Ballet Group. So gradually dispersed an extreme viewpoint which was tinged with socialism color, old classics - romantic works - began to revive under the circumstances of the days. They concentrated on drills of expressive mime and dance motion which were coming to receive more emphasis. She had also influence over pacifying side. So she not only established a basic system of Russian Ballet School but also was an eminent teacher who gave inspiration to the style and Organization of the Kirov Ballet. She was also good at writing and their work The Basic Principles of Classical Ballet is still being read today. Her contributions to the world of modern ballet are inestimable.
