한국 고등학교 생물과 교육과정의 목표변천에 관한 연구

Abstract

한국 고등학교 교육과정의 개념 변천에 따른 시대적 구분으로 교수요목시대(1945-1954), 교과과정시대(1954-1963), 제1차 교육과정시대 (1963-1974), 제2차 교육과정시대(1974-1981), 제3차 교육과정시대(1981-현재)를 비교 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 한국 교육과정의 개정동기는 국가적, 사회적, 시대적, 요구에 의하여 이루어진다. 2. 上位水準의 목표 변천은 다음과 같다. ㄱ. 교수요목시대는 민주시민을 양성하며 지식을 생활에 이용할 수 있도록 하였으며 교과과정시대는 우리 실정에 맞는 교육실시로 생활에 필요한 지식을 습득시켰다. 이 시기를 교과중심 교육과정이라고 한다. ㄴ. 제1차 교육과정시대는 전 국민의 과학화를 위하여 과학 기술 교육을 실시하였다. 이 시기를 경험중심 교육과정이라고 한다. ㄷ. 제2차 교육과정시대는 급진적 과학 기술의 발달로 팽창된 지식을 습득시키고 국민교육헌장의 이념을 실현하는 교육을 실시하였다. 이 시기를 학문중심 교육과정이라고 한다. ㄹ. 제3차 교육과정시대는 미래사회에 대처할 수 있는 전인교육을 실시한다. 이 시기를 인간중심 교육과정이라고 한다. 3. 中位水準의 목표 변천은 다음과 같다. ㄱ. 교수요목시대와 교과과정시대는 주변환경에서 지식을 습득하고 생활에 이용할 수 있는 능력을 갖게한다. ㄴ. 제1차 교육과정시대는 과학적 지식, 능력, 태도를 갖게 하기 위하여 생물Ⅰ에서는 과학적 소양을 위한 기본적 지식을 습득시켜 교양있는 민주시민의 자질을 양성시키고 생물Ⅱ에서는 경제적 효율성이 있는 응용적 지식을 습득시켜 과학발전에 이용하려는 태도를 길러준다. ㄷ. 제2차 교육과정시대는 탐구중심의 교육으로 구조화된 기본개념을 이해시켜 국가발전에 기여할 수 있는 능력을 갖게한다. ㄹ. 제3차 교육과정시대는 올바른 자연관을 형성시키기 위하여 생물Ⅰ에서는 지식을 인간생활과 연관시키며 생물의 생물현상에 관한 기본개념을 이해시켜 올바른 생명관을 갖도록 하며 생물Ⅱ에서는 학문을 위한 기초지식을 습득시키고 탐구방법을 신장하여 계속 학습하려는 태도를 길러준다. 4. 下位水準의 목표 변천은 다음과 같다. ㄱ. 교수요목시대는 학문적 체계없이 생물전반에 관한 지식을 습득시키고 실습을 통하여 실생활에 이용할 수 있는 능력과 태도를 갖게한다. ㄴ. 교과과정시대는 식물, 동물, 생리위생을 학습시키고 인간의 건강과 연관시키며 단원 "보건"을 설정하여 질병과 위생문제에 역점을 두었다. ㄷ. 제1차 교육과정시대는 생물Ⅰ에서는 실험과 관찰을 통하여 생물의 생활현상에 관한 기본원리를 습득시키고 인간과 연관시켜 올바른 자연관을 갖도록 하며 생물Ⅱ에서는 지식을 심화시키고 유전학의 응용면을 학습하여 경제에 이용할 수 있도록 하였다. ㄹ. 제2차 교육과정시대는 구조화된 기본개념을 이해하여 기초지식을 습득시키며 현상적인 생태면을 강조하였다. ㅁ. 제3차 교육과정시대는 생물Ⅰ에서는 거시적이고 현상적인 생물 전반에 관한 기본개념을 이해시키고 사람의 생명현상과 연관시키며 생태문제를 학습시키며 생물Ⅱ에서는 미시적인 생물의 기초지식을 습득시켜 학문연구를 위한 교량적 역할을 한다.;The Bilogy education objectives of high school due to the change of curriculum are compared and analyzed as following; 1. The curriculum was reorganized by the need of a nation, society, duscipline in Korea. 2. The change of the curriculum at high level in objectives area is as following; 1) During syallbus period, it was trained a democratic citizenship. During the course of study period, it was taken serious veiw of textbook and enforced an education in accordance with the real state of Korean affairs. These periods are called life-centered education and subject-centered curriculum. 2) During the first curriculum period, it was enforced scientific techniques in order to make a scientific citizenship. This period is called experience-centered curriculum 3) During the second curriculum period, it was accumlated the knowledge due to progress rapid developments of sciences and techniques, realized an idea of The People Education Constitution. This period is more emphasis than other periods in the cognitive domain. This period is called discipline-centered curriculum. 4) Present the third curriculum period, it enables to cope with an unknown future society. This period is called human-centered curriculum. 3. The change of the curriculum at middle level in objectives area is as following; 1) During syllabus and the course of study period have achieved a necessary knowledge from the surrounding environments. 2) The first curriculum period devided into biology Ⅰ and Ⅱ. The purpose of biology Ⅰ is to train fundamental facts and principles through the observations and experiments, to cultivate the attitude to apply the knowledge to an actual life and health. The purpose of biology Ⅱ is to train practical knowledge and to cultivate the attitude to apply the knowledge to the development of science. 3) The purpose of the second curriculum period is to understand basic concepts through the process of inquiry in order to contribute to the developement of the country. 4) Present the third curriculum period is devided into biology Ⅰ and Ⅱ. The purpose of biology Ⅰ is to learn basic concepts of the life phenomema which is related with biological structure of human being and to become men of scientific literacy. The purpose of biology Ⅱ is to learn the fundamental knowledge and to keep learning for knowledge's sake. 4. The change of the curriculum at low level in objectives area is as following; 1) The purpose of syllabus period is to gain the knowledge of general biology through practice and to possess the ability of application. 2) The purpose of the course of study period is to gain knowledge of plants, animals, and physical hygiene, to emphasize on the human diseases and physical health. 3) The first curriculum period; The purpose of biology Ⅰ is to understand the living phenomema of organism through experiences and to apply these to human being and to establish true concept nature. The purpose of biology Ⅱ is to deepen knowledge of biology and to get trained in applied biology. 4) The purpose of the second curriculum period is to make understood the structual knowledge of biology and to emphasize on the ecological phenomema. 5) The third curriculum period; The purpose of biology Ⅰ is to make understood the phenomenal and macroscopic knowledge of life phenomema of organism. The purpose of biology Ⅱ is to make. understood the microscopic knowledge and to enable to study biology continuously.
