그룹 피아노 교수법에 관한 考察

Abstract

본 논문은 현대의 발전하는 피아노 교수법에 발맞추어 현재 미국 등지에서 실시되어 많은 성과를 거두고 있는 그룹 피아노 교수법(Group Piano Instruction)에 관해 살펴봄으로써 우리도 새로운 피아노 교수법을 인식하고, 보다 폭넓은 대상에게 좀더 질적인 피아노 교육의 기회를 부여할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하는데 연구의 의의와 목적이 있다. 그 연구방법에 있어서 본 논문은 외국의 여러 관계문헌 자료 및 Clavier'를 비롯한 피아노 전문잡지 등을 통하여 조사하는 문헌연구방법에 의한다. 본 논문에서 연구하고자 하는 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 피아노 교육의 중요성은 무엇이며, 피아노 교육기회의 확대와 그에 따른 문제점은 어떤 것인가? 둘째, 그룹 피아노 교수법의 기초가 되는 원리를 바탕으로 그룹 피아노 교수법에 대한 정확한 개념을 정의한다. 또한 그룹 피아노 교육의 시초와 현재까지의 역사적인 발전과정, 그리고 그 특성은 어떤 것들인지 살펴본다. 세째, 성공적인 그룹 피아노 지도를 위한 이상적인 조건은 무엇인가? 교사와 설비, 그리고 세부적 운영계획을 알아본다. 네째, 그룹 피아노 지도에서 실제 다룰 수 있는 내용을 구체적으로 예를 들어본다. 이상에 대한 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 모든 음악의 기초악기로서 피아노의 교육은 매우 중요하며 보다 젊은 대상에로 확대시키는 것이 바람직하다. 그룹 피아노 교육은 유능한 교사와 전자 피아노를 비롯한 충분한 설비, 철저한 준비계획이 있을때 개인지도보다 훨씬 좋은 결과를 가져올 수 있다. 즉, 경제적, 사회적, 음악적인 면에서 효과적인 결과를 얻을 수 있으며 피아노 교육의 기회확대라는 점에서 민주주의 교육이념에 부합되는 이상적인 교수법이 될 수 있는 것이다. 그러나 보다 더욱 이상적인 것은 그룹지도와 개인지도가 적절하게 융합되는 방법이다. 이 교수법은 아직 우리나라에서는 생소하나, 이제는 우리의 음악교육 현장에서도 전통적인 교수법을 탈피하고, 새로운 교수법과 교재를 개발하고 받아들이는 문제를 깊이 연구하여 시도해야 할 것이다.;The thesis was undertaken to research the group piano instruction to recognize the new trends of piano learning and to find out the devices of teaching piano to the wide range of people in a group. Various literatures and the articles from the professional periodicals such as Clavier were reviewed as resources for this study. The following questions were discussed to develop better ideas of group piano instruction: First, what is the importance of piano study and the problems of spreading it out t o the public? This is discussed in Chapter 2. Second, what is the proper concepts of group piano instruction? Fundamental principles, it's characteristics, and the historical development were reviewed in Chapter 3. Third, what are the conditions for the successful group piano instruction? Chapter 4 discussed the quality group piano teacher, facilities and equipments, and the administrating process in detail. Fourth, actual teaching process is illustrated in Chapter 4. The group piano instruction could be much more effective than the private lesson if it is thoroughly planned and the environment and facilities are well equiped. It could have a lot of benefits socially, musically, and financially to the students. It also goes with the ideals of democratic educational thoughts since it opens the opportunity to the public at any age levels to learn the piano. Yet, the most ideal way of learning piano is to combine the group instruction and the private lesson together. Group piano instruction is not fully introduced in Korea yet. Although, it is always desirable to accept the new methods and materials to develop and enhance the nation's quality music education through piano study.
