道袍에 관한 硏究

Abstract

이 硏究는 士大夫의 通常 禮服이며, 儒生의 公服, 祭服으로 입혀 졌던 道袍에 대한 史的考察을 통하여 道袍의 由來, 用度, 形態變化를 살펴봄으로써, 아직도 많은 硏究問題를 갖고 있는 朝鮮朝의 여러 便服袍에 대한 하나의 資料를 제시해 보고자 한 것이다. 硏究方法으로는 文獻과 遺衣, 그 밖의 繒畵資料를 활용하였고, 부족한 부분은 現在에도 道袍를 着用하고 있는, 地方의 現地調査에 의존하였다. 이러한 方法으로 本 硏究에서 알 수 있었던 內容은 다음과 같다. “道袍”는 中國 士大夫의 燕居服이었던 직철을 일컫는 또 다른 名稱인 道袍에서 그 名稱이 由來된 것이 아닌가 하며, 形態의 由來에 대하여서는 정확히 단정할 수 없는 것으로, 우리의 固有袍에 中國의 여러 袍의 영향이 혼합되어 이루어진 國俗의 袍인 것으로 보여진다. 道袍를 사용한 경우를 보면, 四禮의 服飾으로, 禮服의 性格을 많이 띠고 있으며, 초기에는 일부 上流層에서만 局限되어 着用되다가 점차 확대되어 現在에는 階層區別없이 착용할 수 있는 것으로 되었다. 時代에 따라 形態에 있어 다소의 차이를 보였으며, 現在에 着用되고 있는 道袍에 대한 民俗的인 調査에서도 각 地方別로 形態와 부분名稱에서 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로 좀 더 硏究되었으면 하는 것은 동정달지 않은 道袍에 대한 것과 道袍의 2겹의 뒷자락중 겉자락을 稱하는 것으로 잘못 알려져온 “展杉” 부분에 대한 적절한 名稱을 찾는 것이다.;This thesis is to study DOPO, man's traditional robe worn by courtiers and scholars. DOPO has developed with the changes of man's living environment. So this thesis dealt with its history and transition. The methods of this study mainly depended upon introductions of books, remains, field work. It is recorded that DOPO was worn about in the middle of Chosun dynasty for the first time. And it was an ordinary robe to court officiers, whereas it was an official uniform or a ritual robe for Confucian scholars in Chosun dynasty. Furthermore up to the present, it remained as a ceremonial dress in some provinces. DOPO is outer coat with Jigyoung(眞領) and it has long and wide sleeves. It is so long that its edge reaches ankles. Another characteristic point is its back cloth spilited in two parts on the center line, and it is fully covered and clothed with another cloth. Blue or white color is common in DOPO. And it has various textiles. It seemed that the name of DOPO originated from China and its shape was made up under the influence of some other Korean traditional over coat. There the next study will be where the shape of DOPO came from
