평안도 다리굿의 춤연구

Abstract

The shamanism, a form of our oldest social religion has both charactors of an ancient form strongly reflecting human's desire for action and a big scale villagial service possessing religious sense. By way of performance, the ancient arts is classified into following three catagories, i.e., Ⅰ) A poem; showing the mentality of humanbeing, Ⅱ) A song which is created by adding a simple rhythm onto a poem, Ⅲ) A dance which makes perfect communication between gods and human beings through physical presentations. Having a role as a hotbed of ancient culture, the shamanism dersves to have a special meaning as unsplitted general arts, making roots deep in the vein of our traditional culture and arts. "Pyeung-an-do Darigutt" is such a shamanistic ritual as being managed by "Kang shin moo", a shaman, who communicates with gods at ecstasy state. The gutt comprises a total of 16 "geuri", which is devided into two parts. The one is to pray for the fourtune of the live, the other for paving ways to the world of the dead. The specialty of this gutt is on the wide variouty in the kinds of shaman's cloth, besides the music is mainly consisted of "drumm-ike instruments". The shaman's dance in the gutt implicates both of riligious ous and artistic functions making a role for connection as well as finalization among three stages of inviting, entertaining and seeing-off the gods, which are major components of the gutt. The style of dance in "darigutt" mainly consists of vertical leaping, roving, stepping foreward and backward, eventual moving foreward and roving essentrically. The specialties of the dance features are: * Emphasis on improvisatory and free style dance, * No exceedingly leaping movement in the dance, * The state of self-effacement, reached by repeated simple movement, results in higher effect, * Presentation of twinklings under ecstasy state, * The function of seeing-off gods in weakened considerbly, * Gentle features of foot movements, * Intense artistic charactors. From the aboves, it can be said that the nature of the dance in "pyeung-an t do darigutt" stems from an expression way under ecstasy state. Thus, the elements of the gutt are identical to those of our traditional dance. Accordingly, we should understand and learn the basic roots of our traditional dance through out a work for review and analysis on shaman's dance and should further develop and create new guide line for our traditional culture by applying such knowledges for new creative works and study on dancing figure.;우리의 가장 오래된 민간신앙의 한 형태인 무속은 시대를 거슬러 올라가면 갈수록 인간의 본능적 움직임의 욕구를 짙게 내포하고 있는 원시적 예술 형태와 신앙적 성격을 띤 대규모의 부락공동제의 성격을 띠고 있다. 고대 예술의 형태는 표현방법에 따라 3가지로 분류해 볼 수가 있는데, 인간의 내면적 심성을 말로 표현한 詩와 詩에다 단순한 리듬을 붙인 歌, 육체적 표현을 통해 神과의 완벽한 교감을 이루고자 하는 舞로 나누어진다. 巫俗은 우리 古代文化의 온상으로서 이 같은 고대예술의 형태를 포함하는 미분화적인 종합예술의 성격을 띠고 있고, 후대로 내려오면서 우리 전통문화와 예술의 모태적 역할을 담당했다. 평안도 다리굿은 ecstasy상태에서 神과의 교감을 이루는 降神巫가 굿을 주관하는 巫俗의 종교의식이다. 다리굿은 총 16거리로 진행이 되는데, 生者를 위해 복을 비는 형식과 死者를 편안하게 저승으로 보내주기 위해 하는 형식이 혼합된 구조로 되어있다. 巫服은 巫服의 종류가 많고 화려한 것이 그 특징 이다. 다리굿의 굿춤은 종교적 기능과 예능적 기능을 가지고 있는데, 이러한 기능들은 다리굿을 이루고 있는 請神, 娛神, 送神의 3단 구조를 연결시켜 주고 종결시켜주는 역할을 한다. 다리굿의 굿춤은 수직적 도약의 형, 회전의 형, 십자방향의 형, 전진의 형, 후퇴의 형, 점진적 돌진의 형, 타원의 형으로 구성되어 있다. 굿춤의 특징으로는, ① 즉흥성이 강한 자유로운 춤이다. ② 경기, 황해도 지역에 비해 격렬한 도무의 형태가 아니다. ③ 단순한 춤사위의 반복으로 忘我的상태로의 효과를 높이고 있다. ⑤ 접신의 순간을 표현하고 있다. ⑤ 送神舞의 기능이 약화되었다. ⑥ 발디딤이 곱다. ⑦ 수평과 원을 그리는 형태의 춤사위와 그의 변형된 춤사위의 반복으로 이루어져 있다. ⑧ 예능성이 강하다. 이상과 같이 볼때 다리굿의 굿춤은 그 근본적인 성격이 ecstasy상태의 본질적인 표현에 있다고 말할 수 있다. 이것은 우리춤의 기본적인 구조를 이루고 있는 요소들의 본질적인 성격과 동일한 것이라 보겠다. 따라서 굿춤을 현대적인 관점에서 재조명하고 평가하는 작업을 통해 우리춤의 원초적인 뿌리가 되는 기본구조를 파악하고 이를 통한 우리춤의 새로운 창작과 춤사위 연구에 응용시켜서 새로운 전통에로의 창조에 적극적으로 참여, 수용시켜야 한다고 생각된다.
