가야금 調絃法의 연구 : '樂學軌範'을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 풍류 가야금의 조현법(調絃法)에 관한 연구이다. 『樂學軌範』 당시에 7지(七指)에 따른 다양한 조현법은 현행의 4가지로 줄어들었다. 본고는 『악학궤범』 가야금 조현의 방법과 원리가 무엇이며 가야금 조현법이 왜? 어떻게? 변화하였는지에 관하여 알아보았다. 가야금의 구조와 악조(樂調)에 관하여 살펴보았다. 가야금의 구조는 다양한 조현법과 궁(宮)의 위치를 결정하는데 영향을 주었음을 살펴보았다. 15C 『악학궤범』의 악조와 조현법을 알아보았는데 가야금 악조는 15가지, 조현법은 17가지가 있었다. 현재의 조현법은 평조, 계면조, 군악, 취타가 있고, 『악학궤범』의 우조 팔조가 전해진 것이다. 현행의 가야금 조현법의 변화 모습과 변화 원인을 살펴보고, 조현의 방법과 원리가 무엇인가 살펴보았다. 연구결과 『악학궤범』 당시의 악조는 이론을 위한 악조였을 가능성을 찾아볼 수 있었고, 조현의 방법인 줄을 일제히 조이는 방법이나 안족을 일제히 올리는 방법은 음색의 변화, 탄력성, 음정불안, 시간소요, 줄의 훼손 등의 불편함이 있음을 알았다. 조현법 변화에서 오는 번거로움 때문에 좀 더 간편한 방법을 선호하게 되었고, 현재의 악조에 따른 가야금 조현법은 안족을 몇 개만 옮기는 것으로 조현법을 바꾸어 줄 수 있는 간편하고 실용적인 방법이 남아있다. ; This paper is a study on Kayakeum s tuning. Various tunings following 7 tune in times of <Akhakwebum> has been reduced to 4 tune. This study examines why and how Kayakeum s tuning have been changed, and it also looks into the method and principle of tuning. It is found that the structure of Kayakeum affects various tuning methods and the decision of the position of Gung(宮). There are 15 kinds of tune and 17 kinds in Kayakeum tuning. The present tuning includes Pyongjo, Kyemyounjo, Kunak and Chuita. And <Akhakwebum> s (羽調入調) has been reduced to the present tuning. The change and the reason of change of Kayakeum s tuning are examined as well as the method and principle of tuning. As the result of study, tune in time of <Akhakwebum> was possibly for theory, and the method of tuning has unconvenience in the method of tightening string and raising Anjok resulting in the change of music tone, elasticity, unstable tune, time consumption and string damage. Because of inconvenience resulted from the change of tuning, they came to prefer simpler methods, and only practical ways of Kayakeum s tuning has remained. As the result of the method of tuning, the change of the position of Gung and the method of revising Anjok as needed suggest the possiblity of modulation.
