dc.description.abstract본 연구는 10대 미혼모의 진로개발에 목적을 둔 진로교육 프로그램의 실천을 통해 그 효과성을 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 여기서 10대 미혼모의 진로개발이란 10대 미혼모들이 자기 주도적으로 진로를 탐색하고 계획하기 위하여 필요한 정의적 태도 및 인지적 능력과 자신의 결정을 실행하는 행동으로 정의된다. 구체적으로 태도 측면에는 독립성, 일에 대한 태도, 계획성이, 능력 측면에는 자기이해, 정보활용 및 합리적 의사결정 능력, 일반적 직업에 대한 지식, 관심 직업에 대한 지식이, 그리고 행동 측면에는 진로탐색 및 준비행동이 포함되었다. 이러한 10대 미혼모의 진로개발에 대한 개입은 학업을 중단하고 실업 또는 불완전 고용 상태로 살아가고, 빈곤의 악순환, 복지에의 의존하는 10대 미혼모들을 예방할 수 있다. 그러나 우리나라 사회복지 실천현장에서 이런 10대 미혼모를 대상으로 한 진로 개발 훈련의 기회, 특히 진로개발의 행동 측면을 중시하는 프로그램이 매우 제한적인 것이 우리의 현실이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구에서는 첫째, 10대 미혼모의 진로개발에 적합하다고 사려되는 김만지(2001)의 진로교육 프로그램을 본 연구에 맞게 재구성하고, 둘째, 재구성한 프로그램의 효과성에 대한 실증적인 검증을 위해, 추후 연구를 실시하지 못하여 프로그램 개입 효과의 지속성에 대한 평가를 하지 못하는 한계는 있지만 구체적인 10대 미혼모 집단을 대상으로 프로그램을 시행하여 그 효과성을 검토함으로써 10대 미혼모에게 진로 교육의 기회를 제공하는 프로그램으로서의 유용성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 실험집단을 대상으로 실제로 이 프로그램을 시행하여 비교집단과 비교함으로써 그 효과성을 추론하여 볼 수 있다. 효과성 검증을 위한 실험집단은 5명이었으며, 비교집단도 실험집단과 같은 5명으로 구성하였다. 실험집단은 서울 소재 K 미혼모 일시보호 시설에, 비교집단은 서울 소재 A 미혼모 일시보호 시설에 각각 설정하였다. 프로그램은 2002년 4월 2일부터 4월 30일까지 주 2회 총 8회가 실시되었다. 그리고 이들을 대상으로 10대 미혼모의 진로 개발의 태도, 능력, 행동에 대한 사전·사후 변화량과 변화된 내용에 대한 비교를 시행하였다. 본 연구에서는 양적 분석과 질적 분석을 병행하였다. 본 연구에서 프로그램의 효과성과 관련하여 설정한 연구가설에 대한 양적 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. <연구가설 1>태도 태도를 구성하는 첫 번째 하위 개념인 '독립성'에서 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전·사후 변화량이 별다른 차이를 보이지 않았다. 두 번째 하위 개념인 '일에 대한 태도'에서도 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전·사후 변화량이 별다른 차이를 보이지 않았다. 반면 태도를 구성하는 세 번째 하위개념인 '계획성'에서는 실험집단의 사전·사후 계획성 변화량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 더 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 그러나 이 세 가지 하위 개념을 통합한 태도에서 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전·사후 변화량의 차이가 다르다는 것은 시사하지 못하였다. 숫자상으로는 실험집단이 비교집단보다 사전·사후 평균 변화치가 약간 더 증가했지만 이것이 통계적으로 유의한 수준은 아님을 추론하여 볼 수 있다. <연구가설2>능력 능력을 구성하는 첫 번째 하위 개념인 '자기이해'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 자기이해 점수의 증가량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 두 번째 하위 개념인 '정보활용 및 합리적 의사결정 능력'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 정보활용 및 합리적 의사결정 능력 점수의 증가량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 세 번째 하위 개념인 '일반적 직업의 하는 일에 대한 지식'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 일반적 직업의 하는 일에 대한 지식이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 네 번째 하위 개념인 '일반적 직업의 필요한 능력에 대한 지식'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 일반적 직업의 필요한 능력에 대한 지식 점수의 증가량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 다섯 번째 하위 개념인 '일반적 직업의 보수 및 근무환경에 대한 지식'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 일반적 직업의 보수 및 근무환경 점수의 증가량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 여섯 번째 하위개념인 '관심 직업에 대한 지식'에 대한 응답내용을 분석한 결과, 진로교육 프로그램에 참석한 대상자들의 사전·사후 관심 직업에 대한 지식 점수의 증가량이 비교집단에서의 사전·사후 변화량에 비해 크다는 것을 시사하였다. 이 여섯 가지 하위 개념을 통합한 능력에서 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전·사후 변화량의 차이가 다르다는 것을 추론하여 볼 수 있다. 이는 본 프로그램이 실험집단의 능력 향상에 효과가 있었음을 보여주는 결과이다. <연구가설 3>행동 진로탐색 및 준비행동으로 측정된 행동에서 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전·사후 변화량을 순위 비교한 결과 실험집단의 우위가 있는 것으로 나타나 본 프로그램이 실험집단의 행동에 효과적이었음을 추론하여 볼 수 있다. 질적 분석은 프로그램 참여로 인한 집단성원의 긍정적인 변화를 각 회기가 끝난 후 본 연구자 및 보조 진행자가 공동으로 작성한 프로그램 과정 기록과 프로그램 중에 집단성원들이 직접 작성한 handout, 총무 및 개별상담교사의 보고를 근거자료로 10대 미혼모의 진로개발의 태도, 능력, 행동 향상 측면으로 분석하였다. 첫째, 진로교육 프로그램에 참여함으로써 집단성원들에게 공통적으로 나타난 변화는 자신의 진로에 대한 진로계획을 세우게 된 것이었다. 그러나 집단성원들은 자신에 비해 더 많은 정보와 판단력을 갖춘 인물의 조언을 중요시하여 스스로 진로를 선택하기보다는 또래 집단에 의존하는 경향을 보였고, 일의 중요성에 대해서도 올바른 견해를 갖지 못하였다. 둘째, 자기인식, 교육의 기회와 직업에 대한 탐색 회기의 개입으로 집단성원들은 자기 이해 수준이 높아지고 일반적 직업과 관심 직업에 대한 지식 수준의 향상, 그리고 진로 정보활용과 합리적 의사결정 능력에서도 변화된 모습을 보였다. 셋째, 임신과 출산으로 혼란스러운 10대 미혼모들은 프로그램을 통해서 작성한 진로계획을 실천하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 양적 분석의 결과와 대체적으로 일치하는 것으로 나타나 10대 미혼모 대상의 진로 교육 프로그램이 태도 측면의 독립성, 일에 대한 태도와 관련된 부분을 제외하고는 효과적이었음을 추론하여 볼 수 있다. 이와 같이 본 프로그램의 구체적 실천과정을 통해 10대 미혼모의 진로개발에 부응할 수 있는 교육 프로그램으로서의 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다. 이는 10대 미혼모의 진로개발의 기회가 제한되어 있는 우리 현실에 대한 구체적인 대안을 제시하는 것 뿐 아니라 앞으로 10대 미혼모를 위한 프로그램 연구의 초석을 마련하는 데에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.;Unmarried teen mothers have increased dramatically in recent years. Many previous studies have reported that most teen mothers are more likely to be poor, uneducated, unemployed and welfare dependent than older mothers. Thus career intervention for unmarried teen mothers is needed urgently. The object of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the career education program for unmarried teen mothers in developing the level of career attitudes, career abilities and career behaviors. The program of this study was based on the career education program which was developed by Manjee Kim, part-time teacher of University of Kyunghee. The program was conducted twice a week, 8 times for 4 weeks in total. A non-equivalent control group design was used. Both the experimental group and the comparison group consisted of 5 people each. The experimental group and the comparison group consisted of 15- to 17-year-old unmarried teen mothers who were isolated from each other in different facilities located in Seoul. The quantitative and qualitative research was carried out in this study. The Mann-Whitney U Test was done to evaluate the effectiveness of this career education program. The qualitative research, the recording of group process, the handouts which were written by participants during the program, and the reports by facility staff were analyzed to prove the effectiveness of the program. The results of this study were as follows : First, there was no significant difference between the career attitudes of the experimental group and the comparison group in the pre-post test. However, there were significant differences between career abilities and career behaviors of the experimental group and the comparison group. Second, in the case of the qualitative research, it was hard to find any improvement in the career attitudes by evaluating the group process records, handouts and staff reports. However, the level of career abilities and career behaviors were improved. In conclusion this program was effective in developing the level of career abilities and career behaviors but not in developing career attitudes. The implications of these consequences in the field of social work are presented. First, unmarried teen mothers have the opportunity to think about their future and put their career plan into action with this program. Second, the career education program provides a useful tool to develop the careers of unwed teen mothers. Third, this program can be the means of school return for unmarried mothers who leave school because of teen pregnancy. Fourth, by providing them with an opportunity to develop a career, this program will help reduce repeated pregnancy in unwed teen mothers. Afterward, further study will be necessary. First, a study on the effectiveness of long-term career education programs for unmarried teen mothers is needed. Also follow-up meetings should be included. Second, this study has only focused on the career development of unwed teenage mothers. Therefore, more comprehensive intervention for a wider variety of issues that unwed teenage mothers face is needed.-
