초등학교 미술 교육에서 한국화의 추상적 표현 연구

Abstract

미술은 미술자체로서 의사소통의 체계로 될 수 있으며 사람들에게 자신의 문화와 타문화를 이해시키는데 무한한 잠재력을 가지게 된다. 따라서 현대의 미술교육은 이러한 미술의 가치를 깨닫고 민족의 주체성을 회복시키는데 그 역할이 어느 때보다 중요하다. 현대 미술의 주류인 추상 미술도 이러한 맥락에서 교육적 가치와 의의가 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 현대 추상 미술 중에서 한국화의 추상 미술을 통한 미술교육의 방안을 찾고자 하였으며 이는 어린이들이 현대 미술을 이해하고 표현하여 세계화되어 가는 시대 속에서 주체성을 가진 한국인으로 성장하는데 도움을 주려는 노력이었다. 연구 방법은 문헌을 통하여 서구의 추상 미술과 한국화의 추상 미술에 대한 개념과 발전과정을 고찰하였고, 현행 초등학교 미술교과과정과 교과서를 분석하여 힌국화의 추상 미술에 관한 내용을 살펴보았다. 학습 현황의 조사는 서울지역 초등학교 고학년을 대상으로 설문지를 통하여 한국화의 추상 미술작품에 대한 관심과 인지도 등을 조사하였다. 연구 조사의 결과 한국화의 추상 미술작품에 대한 인지도와 관심도는 매우 낮았으며 이에 대한 문제점을 분석하고 교육적 방안으로 프로그램을 개발하여 구체적인 방향을 모색하였다. 본 연구의 프로그램은 작품감상퍼즐놀이 , 기본표현단계 , 심화표현단계 의 3단계의 과정으로 설정하였으며, 한국화의 추상 미술작품의 감상을 통하여 추상미술에 대한 올바른 시각과 태도를 가지며 여러 가지 추상표현 기법을 활용하여 자신의 감정을 표현하는 경험을 갖도록 하는 것이다. 프로그램의 내용으로는 작품감상 퍼즐놀이에서 한국화의 추상 미술작품을 감상하고 이를 퍼즐놀이로 연계하여 작가와 작품에 대한 인지를 확인하며, 기초 표현단계는 먹과 한지를 사용하여 우연의 효과가 주는 표현을 습득하게 하여 추상 표현에 접근하는 방법을 모색하였다. 마지막의 심화표현단계는 작품감상퍼즐놀이와 기초표현단계의 경험을 바탕으로 자신만의 독창적인 작품을 재창조하는 경험을 갖도록 하였다. 이로써 한국화의 추상 미술작품과 그 표현에 대한 이해, 감상, 표현활동에 따른 재창조 등이 통합적으로 이루어져 한국화의 추상 미술에 대한 관심과 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있도록 하였으며, 어린이들에게 우리문화에 대한 주체적인 문화의식을 갖도록 노력하였다. 주체성을 가진 한국인과 국제적인 인간으로 성장하기 위한 미술교육의 측면에서 본 연구를 통해 연구자가 제언할 점은 우리문화에 대한 교육적 측면의 다각적인 연구와 교사들의 적극적인 자세, 그리고 체계적인 지도방안, 다양한 매체 활용 등, 학생들에게 쉽게 접근하고 이해할 수 있는 미술교육의 기회를 마련해 주는 것이 필요하다고 생각된다. ; Art as itself is regarded one of communication systems as well as gives people unlimited potentiality for understanding own and other cultures. Therefore, it is very important time that the role of current art education is to realize the worth of art. As coherence, the educational worth and meaning in abstract art that is main stream in modern arts is very huge. The purpose of this study tries to find an art teaching method through Korean abstract arts in contemporary abstract arts. In addition, it tries to help children to be grown as Koreans who have subjectivity in the circumstances of globalization. The study method is to consider concept and developing process regarding western as well as Korean abstract arts through literature, to examine the contents of Korean abstract arts by analyzing art curriculum and art textbooks in current elementary schools, and to examine as well as analyze interest and recognition about modern Korean abstract arts through a survey with the subject of elementary school upper grade students. The result of study is that the interest and acknowledgement on Korean abstract works of art is very low so try to find a direction by the analyzing the points of issue and developing a program as a educational device. The program of this study is set up with three stage: puzzle-play on appreciation of works of art , basic expression stage and upper expression stage . The program of this study is to have right eyesight and attitude regarding abstract arts through appreciation on Korean abstract works of art as well as to have experience that shows their emotion through various abstract expression methods. The contents of the program is to appreciate Korean abstract works of art using puzzle-play on appreciation of works of art, and to develop acknowledgement about artists as well as works of art through puzzle-play. At the second stage, basic expression stage , try to find an approaching method to abstract expression by adopting expressions from incidental effect using Meok (Chinese ink stick) and Korean papers. At the last stage, upper expression stage , to have experience that re-creates own creational works based on experience in puzzle-play on appreciation of works of art and basic expression stage. As a result, children expand interest and understanding regarding Korean abstract works of art based on re-creation by consolidating understanding, appreciation and expression activities about Korean abstract works of art and expression as well as have subjective cultural recognition about our own culture. In the aspect of art education for children that are to be developed as Koreans who have subjectivity as well as global human beings, through this study, it should be necessary that we will provide opportunity of art education that children can easily access and understand: multilateral studies on education sides, teachers positive attitude, a systematic teaching plan, practical use of various media, and etc. about our own culture.
