Abstract

Leclair는 프랑스의 작곡가이자 바이올리니스트로 프랑스 바이올린 학파의 설립자이다. 그의 바이올린 연주는 자유로운 리듬의 흐름과 섬세하고 화려하면서도 아름다운 음색으로 높은 평가를 받았고 그의 가장 훌륭한 음악적 업적은 당시 유행하였던 프랑스와 이태리의 음악 요소 중 장점만을 취하여 고난도의 예술적 기교를 발전시켜 새로운 음악을 창조해낸 데 있다. Leclair의 음악에 나타나는 특징은 장식음이 부가된 선율과 짧은 동기의 선율이 계속적으로 반복, 변형되며 화음선을 도약하는 선율, 반음계적 선율의 사용, 활발한 리듬, 리듬의 모방, 다양한 화성, 이명동음적 전조, 높은 포지션으로의 급격한 이동, 이중음 주법(multiple stops), 이중 트릴, 왼손의 트레몰로, 붙임줄이 붙어있는 스타카토, 세밀한 아티큘레이션, 세심한 악상 등으로 18세기까지의 프랑스 바이올린 음악에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 본 논문의 연구, 분석 결과 그의 <바이올린 소나타, D Major>는 느림-빠름-느림-빠름의 tempo를 갖는 4악장으로 작곡되었고 바로크 모음곡의 영향을 받아 다양한 춤곡 형식(sarabande, tambourin)을 제3악장과 제4악장에 적용하였다. 각 악장의 첫 주제 동기는 화음선을 도약하는 선율로 상호 관련성을 가지고 유사하게 시작되고 수직적 짜임새는 화성 음악적인 성부 구조(homophony)를 보인다. 조성은 D Major(제1,2,4악장)와 같은 으뜸음조인 d minor(제3악장)를 사용하고 있으며 제1,2,3악장은 2부 형식(AB), 제4악장은 3부 형식(ABA )으로 작곡되었다. 하겅부에 지속음의 유지, 모방, 동형 진행에 의한 주제적 동기의 반복 등의 특징을 보인다. 본 논문은 Jean-Marie Leclair의 <바이올린 소나타, D Major>를 연구, 분석한 것으로 그의 생애와 음악적 활동을 고찰한 후 각 악장에 나타나는 형식, 선율, 리듬, 화성, 주제 전개등의 분석을 통해 연주에 도움을 주고자 한다. ; Leclair is a French composer and violinist and the dstablisher of the French Violin School. His violin performance was highly estimated with freedom of rhythm and delicate, splendid and beautiful tone colors, and his greatest musical achievement is that he adopted only the good elements out of French and Italian musical ones which were in fashion at that time and combined them with difficult artistic techniques and eventually came to create a new music style. The features emerging at Leclair s music are continuous repetition and modification of melodies including ornament graces and melodies of short motives, melodies jumping above chord lines, use of chromatic melodies, vivid rhythm, imitation of rhythm, a variety of harmonies, enharmonic modulations, excursion into high positions, multiple stops, multiple trills, tremolos of the left hand, tied staccatos, detailed articulations and elaborate kynamics, and so forth, having a great influence on the French violin music up to the eighteenth century. In a result of studying and analyzing by this thesis, his <Violin Sonata, D major> was composed to 4 movements which have a tempo of slow-fast-slow-fast and was influenced by Baroque suites to have various dance music forms (sarabande, tambourin) applied to the third and the fourth movements. The first thematic motive of each movement begins similarly, having an interrelationship with a melody jumping above chord line, and the vertical structure shows harmonic musical homophony. Thd key is using d minor(the third movement), the same tonic chord to D Major(the first, second and fourth movements), and the first, second and third movements were composed to 2-part form(AB) and the fourth movement to 3-part form(ABA ). Another features are maintenance of pedal points, imitation, repetition of the thematic motive by sequential progression, and so forth. This thesis, studying and analyzing <Violin Sonata, D Major> written by Jean-Marie Leclair, aims at giving a help to perform it through analyzing form, melody, rhythm, harmony, thematic developement, etc. which emerge at each movement after studying his life and musical activities.
