Survey data analysis based on SAS procedures

Abstract

표본조사의 목적은 모집단에서 추출된 표본의 정보로부터 모집단의 정보를 얻기 위함이다. 표본조사를 이용하여 통계적으로 유효한 추론을 얻기 위해서는 분석 시 표본설계를 충분히 고려하여야만 한다. SAS 프로그램의 SURVEYSELECT 절차를 이용하면 확률표집에 기초한 표본의 임의추출이 다양한 방법으로 가능하다. 또한 위에 언급된 방법으로 추출된 표본에 대하여 SURVEYMEANS 절차를 이용하면 표본설계를 고려하여 분석을 하게되므로 통계적으로 유효한 추론이 가능하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 SURVEYSELECT 절차와 SURVEYMEANS 절차의 용법 및 기능을 설명하였다. 또한 실제 dataset에 SURVEYSELECT 절차와 SURVEYMEANS 절차를 적용, 그 결과를 보임으로써 표본조사에 이 절차들이 유용하게 적용됨을 증명하였다. ; Researchers use sample surveys to obtain information about a population by selecting and measuring a sample from the population. To make statistically valid inferences based upon survey data we must incorporate the sampling design in the data analysis. The SURVEYSELECT procedure in the SAS system provides a variety of methods for selecting probability-based random samples. The SURVEYMEANS procedure takes into account the sample design used to select the survey sample when computing a estimate. This Thesis summarize the directives and functions of the SURVEYSELECT procedure and the SURVEYMEANS procedure. In addition we shall show how these new procedures can be applied to real-world data-collection situations by using a simple set of population data.
