작품 전시의 과정을 8개의 단계로 나누어 각각의 소주제로 하였으며, 소주제의 제목을 "COME"."INVOLVE","SEE","LISTEN","SMELL","TASTE","FEEL"와"GO"로 하였다. 또한 손으로의 표현은 우리 눈의 도움을 받아야 하기 때문에 심상, 눈, 손이 함께 잘 조화를 이루어야 할 것이다 ; Art or art pieces transcend the boundaries of Eastern, Western, design and sculptures, it is an expression of a vision or a point of view. The process of expressing of the imagination through the visual organ can be seen as counter process of the way in which we see a particular object. The light, weather it is natural or artificial, reaches an object and reflects the light. The reflected light reaches to the retina through the pupil and stimulates the retina. This stimulation, reaches our brain through the nerve system and than we are able to recognize the shape of an object. In another word, we can not recognize the shape of an object just by stimulating the retina, but we are able to recognize the shape of an object by the brain s judgement of the retina through our past experience and knowledge which we had before. The psychological process in which we see and recognize the shapes of an object has been studied thoroughly by German Gestalt psychologists. Gestalt psychology studies approximation theory, similarity theory, satisfactions theory and visual illusion, shape and size of constancy. These theories prove to be extremely useful to an artist in the creation of a project. Expression of images through art pieces has developed by embracing these theories. The forms of expression in many ways include elimination, contiguity, contact, texture, closure, ordered display and grid system, combination and closure. The theme of my art pieces is "Exhibition". By attending the exhibition, audiences can actively participate by enjoying the pleasant views, different sounds, fresh scents and profound taste. Audiences can further develop their participation by taking the different experiences from the exhibition, organizing them and digesting each and every experience making the process of expression of the artist a success. The exhibition process have been divided into 8 different sub-themes and labeled "come", "involve", "see", "listen", "smell", "taste", "feel", "go". The first of these, "come" is represented by an automobile. The reason behind the image of an automobile is because of the reason that if represents the audience s way of coming to the exhibition. Although it is not a common automobile, the image utilizes the theory of closure by forcing the audience to complete the image in their minds. The second sub-theme, "involve" requires the active participation of the audience. The choice of this sub-theme is to help the audience understand their role in the exhibition itself. By stepping on the steps of the floor, the audience becomes the main focus of the floor. This piece s simple and clear image is strongly emphasized by the choice of dance steps. The third sub-theme "see", is represented by an image familiar to all of us. The image of a window represents away of viewing what is "outside", therefore causing the audience to think of viewing the outside world through a window. The fourth sub-theme "listen", can be considered a secondary sense. However, audiences can listen to the description, to each other, and to what the artist is attempting to say. Thus listening is an active sense in the exhibition. A telephone is our primary form of communication and listening. The representation of the theme is half telephone and half brochure. Here we can see Gestalt psychology at work. Although only the receiver of the telephone can be seen, audiences complete the image of a telephone by turning the receiver into positive. The fifth sub-theme is "smell" or "scent". Although the exhibition might not have a particular scent or smell that was intended by the artist, the audience can feel a particular scent or the exhibition itself can have smell. Perhaps the first image of scent would be that of a flower. The sixth sub-theme is "taste", or the particular taste the exhibition offers its audience. The atmosphere of the exhibition can be a sweet or supple taste to the audience. The image chosen for this sub-theme is that of a human face is that of a human face and a cookie. The structure and features of the human face is combined together, the cookie above the lip creates the image of an eye, and the stretched out spoon completes the image of a nose. The seventh sub-theme "feel" is expressed by a hand, representing our sense of touch. The fingers are replaced by a pencil and by a pair of scissors. This image is an attempt to help the audience understand their ability to feel and comprehend the exhibition itself, lending itself the thought of an organized and intelligent exhibition. The eighth and final sub-theme is "go". Go represents the audience s ability to see the exhibition and take the creative images with them in their minds. Although many representations can symbolize the theme of "go", an exit and person can best be related to by the audience. An audience and creation of art pieces can be seen as our way of letting our hand express certain images we have in our minds. Moreover, a superb art piece can be seen as an image of our best experiences and knowledge, and because it is created through our hands, the image of hands must be done in a delicate fashion. in conclusion, in order to create a magnificent art piece, our minds, hands, eyes and images must work in conjunction.-
