행위누적을 통한 종교적 지향성 연구

Abstract

기독교적 관점에서 볼 때 현대 미술은 한 때 인간에게 적절한 위치를 부여해 주었던 가치 질서가 붕괴됨과 더불어 시작한 것이다. 인간이 신을 가치로 삼았을 대에는 삶의 확고한 지향성을 지니고 살아갈 수 있었다. 그러나 인간이 신으로부터 멀어짐에 따라 인간은 삶의 확고한 가치관을 잃고 방황하게 되었다. 인간의 가치관의 붕괴는 영혼의 표현인 예술에도 절대적인 영향을 미치게 되었다. 그래서 미술에서도 삶의 좌표가 부재한 상황이 소외 고독 등 비인간화를 나타내는 단어로 표현되었던 것이다. 이런 인간의 실존적 공허감으로 인해 우리가 현대예술을 통해 얻을 수 있는 것은 대부분 공허한 개념이다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 신과 인간과의 분리로 인해 발생한 종교(聖)와 예술(美)의 거리를 조금이라도 좁혀 보려는 시도로서, 연구 목적은 종교와 예술이 각기 자신들의 특성을 지니면서 중립적으로 교차하게 되는 행위를 위주로 하는 작업과정을 통해 성스러운 체험을 조형적으로 표현하는 데 있다. 이론적 배경에서는 종교와 예술의 상관 관계 연구를 통해 종교(聖)와 예술(美)의 완전한 합일보다는 중립적으로 신 앞에서 만나게 되는 신앙의 주요 특성에 대하여 서술한다. 또한 연구자가 신앙 안에서 체험한 종교적 경험과 이를 표현하기 위핸 행위의 현상학을 설명한다. 작품을 표현 내용 및 방법에서는 누멘적 상황의 체험을 가시화 하기 위해 사용한 행위누적과 그 체험과정을 설명한다. 연구결과 제시된 작품 7점을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 행위 누적에 의한 작품의 조형상 특징은 시간의 흐름에 따른 중첩, 융합, 누적, 반복으로 인해 빛과 어두움의 대조, 상승, 평온함 등의 분위기가 조성되어 밀도와 질적인 표현으로 성스러운 상황이 표현되었다. ; Modern art became started as the value order which gives hum문 proper positions collapsed. Hereby, I raise questions about what an artist can say for sure in modern art. As a result, truth for an artist lies in expressing the inner experience of his/her spirit. Of course, the spirit here should go toward the ultimate point. Also, the ultimate point moves actively, makes a character conversation possible, and should be able to interact with an artist in reality. To vividly reveal the inner experience of mine, I groped for an effective expression way, geste-accumulation of an act. The reason why I chose it was that the accumulation of an act allows the inner state of an artist s mind, the orientation of material and spirit, and the sense acquired while working to be expressed in time. Also, time and space can be visualized together through the modeling effect made through the accumulation of an act: accumulation, overlapping, fusion and repetition. Here a visual-sensory effect is rather bigger than visual effect, and quality and density effects are bigger than amount effect. Fusion accumulation is a result naturally acquired through the accumulation effect, that is, the elevation of spirit. A concept or a modeling order disappear through repeated act, and becomes neutral structure holding the self-spirit included in the traces of the body. This work is a result of representation emitting "act+meaning+spirit" acquired by neutral structure, and the surface materials acquired here are also achieved in the nature of structure rather than just sensory one. I think the thing an artist can reveal is his/her own oriented spirit, and it is his/her duty to effectively reveal it with geste.
