水墨을 이용한 自然의 이미지 表現

Abstract

인간은 자연과 함께 더불어 살아오면서 자연에 대한 지대한 관심과 감정을 느껴왔다. 이에 따라 인간은 모든 조형예술의 기초를 자연에 두고 표현욕구를 충족시켰다. 자연의 미(美)는 그것을 보는 시각에 따라 상이하게 나타나기 때문에 표현대상으로서의 자연이라는 소재는 작가에 의해 독창적인 창의성으로 새롭게 태어나게 된다. 다시 말해 자연의 모티브는 하나의 심상으로 발현되어 화가 자신의 관조적 시선에 더욱 심오화된 미적 현상으로 표현되는 것이다. 이렇듯 회화가 자연의 미를 포함하기 위해서는 작가 스스로 새로운 길을 발견해야 한다고 생각한다. 동양에서는 자연표현에 있어서 객관정신과 주관정신을 모두 겸비하는 것을 중요시하였다. 동양의 회화는 아름다운 인간의 인격이 최고로 표현되어야 하며 그 궁극적인 목적은 자연의 기운을 잘 표현해내는 것에 있었다. 자연정신은 자연의 깊고 유원한 것을 포함하는데 먹(墨)은 이러한 정신성을 표현하기에 적합한 매재가 된다고 생각한다. 먹은 나타나는 풍부한 색의 변화와 그 표현성이 무한하여 매우 신비스러운 세계를 지니고 있다. 이로써 먹은 그 자체만으로도 다양한 생명력을 보여준다. 본인은 자연 속에 존재하는 대상물을 표현하는데 있어서 심상으로부터 나타난 이미지를 풍부한 변화로 이끄는 먹을 이용해 독창적으로 나타내려고 하였다. 본고에서는 예술의 표현에 있어서 무한한 조형성을 지닌 자연의 객관적이고 주관적인 감상의 내용과 그 의미 등을 설명하였으며, 이와 함께 자연에 있어서의 이미지를 통한 표현성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 그리고 동양의 자연관과 더불어 한국회화에서의 자연에 대한 표현의 양상을 살펴보았고, 자연의 이미지를 표현하기에 적합한 먹의 재료적 특성과 정신적인 면에서의 먹의 상징적 의미를 다뤄보고자 하였다. 또한 본인이 표현한 자연의 표현기법에 있어서 주류를 이루는 수묵(水墨)의 여러 가지 기법에 대해 설명함으로써 본인이 지닌 자연에 대한 감상과 그에 대한 심상을 나타내려고 하였다. 이상의 내용을 본인이 제작한 그라데이션의 효과를 보이는 먹의 표현과 탁본기법을 응용한 추상적 표현, 그리고 그라데이션과 응용된 탁본을 이용한 꼴라쥬의 이미지 작품을 중심으로 살펴보고자 하였으며, 이를 통해 본인의 작업을 보다 발전적으로 거듭나게 하는 좋은 기회로 삼고자 하였다.; The human being has had great interest and emotion about nature living with nature together. So the human being has satisfied expressive desire on the basis of nature as formative arts. The beauty of nature can be various according to the viewer s point, and nature as a subject of expression can revive by the creativity of an artist. In other words, the motive of nature is expressed as an image, an aesthetically profound appearance through the meditative viewpoint of an artist. Therefore, an artist has to develop his of her new way of art for pictures to include the beauty of nature. In the Orient, it has been important to combine objectivity with subjectivity in expression of nature. Oriental pictures ought to express the beautiful personality of the human being, and the ultimate aim is to express the energy of nature. Since natural spirit includes deep and mentalistic character of nature, India ink can be a proper medium for expressing such spirituality. India ink has rich possibility of color change and unlimited expression, so there is really mysterious world. India ink shows diverse vitality in itself. The present writer has tried to originally express the image of the subjects in nature using India ink with rich possibility of change. In this thesis, it will be explained that the contents of objective and subjective appreciation of nature which has infinite formativeness in artistic expression, besides the expressiveness through the image in nature. And then, it will be considered that the nature expression in Korean pictures with Oriental viewpoint about nature, the material quality of India ink suited to the expression of nature, and the symbolic meaning of India ink in spiritual aspect. In addition, it will be explained that the various techniques of India ink used by my natural expression, so it will be appeared the appreciation about nature of mine and images about it. This thesis about above contents is focused on India ink s expression showing gradation effect produced by myself, abstract expression applying a rubbing technique, and collage image works using gradation and a rubbing technique as an opportunity of my works growing renewal.
