색채를 통한 바다표현

Abstract

인간과 자연과의 관계는 오래 전부터 밀접한 관계를 유지하였고 인간의 표현하고자 하는 욕구로 인해 많은 흔적들을 남겼다. 이에 예술가들은 변화하는 자연에서 소재를 선택하여 정밀한 관찰에 의해 자연 속에 존재하는 특질을 찾아내어 독창적인 양식으로 작품을 형성하였다. 이러한 예술작품에서 작가는 일차적 조형 요소인 색채와 형태에 내적 가치를 부여하게 된다. 본인은 이러한 생각을 바탕으로 다양한 상징적인 의미를 가지고 있는 바다를 자세히 관찰하고 주관적인 시각으로 해석하여 감정으로부터 나타나는 대상의 이미지를 색채에 의해 표현하고자 했다. 특히, 일상적인 사물과의 결합을 통한 표현은 작품을 주제표현에 보다 적합하다고 생각했기 때문이다. Ⅱ장에서는 예술 속에서 다루어지는 바다에 대해 살펴보고, 먼저 다양한 분야에 나타나는 바다의 상징성과 동ㆍ서양을 막론하고 회화에서 화가들이 바다를 어떻게 표현해왔는지 알아보고자 한다. Ⅲ장에서는 회화표현의 중요한 요소인 색채에 대해 일반적인 색채의 역할과 의미에 대해 알아보고 이와 관련 지어 인간의 영혼에 직접 영향을 미치는 수단이 되는 조형적 언어로서의 색채에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. Ⅳ장에서는 실제작업에서 이루어지는 표현과정으로 사실적 묘사와 색채를 통한 심상 표현과정을 살펴보고, 특히 여기에서는 본인의 작품에서 주로 나타나는 靑色에 대해서도 알아보고자 한다. 본인의 작품에서는 일상적 사물과 바다를 연관짓기도 하고, 바다 자체만으로 색채의 변화를 통해 서정적 이미지와 공간을 표현하였다. 또, 바다에서 느낀 이미지를 사실적 묘사를 넘어서 청색의 상징적 의미를 염두에 두고 푸른색 면들을 나열하고 생략하는 등 재구성하여 나타내기도 하였다. 작품제작에 있어서 바다표현은 색체에 중점을 두고 그 이미지를 표현하려 하였으며 재료에서는 종이와 천 위에 분 채를 사용하였다. 본인의 작품 제작과정을 통해 바다를 다양한 시각에서 보고, 색채를 통해 대상의 이미지를 표현하고자 했으며, 새로운 시도에 대한 필요성을 생각해 보았다. ; There has been a close relationship between man and nature for a long time, and man s desire to express himself has left many traces. Artists have chosen subjects from nature, which is always changing, and they have found the characteristics of it through thorough observation. By doing this, they have created unique art. In these works of art, the artist has given inner meaning to the primal plastic elements, color and shape. Based on this thought, I have made a detailed observation of the sea, which has many symblic meanings, and tried to interpretate it subjectively. Also, I have tried to express the images that come from emotion in color. This is especially because the expression through the combination of ordinary things seemd more suitable to express the subject. In Chapter Ⅱ, I observe the sea motif in art, but first I will look into the symbolic meanings of the sea in various fields and how it was expressed in art, regardless of est or west. In Chapter Ⅲ, I will find out about the general role and meaning of color, which is an importand factor in art. Also, in relation to this, color, which has a direct effect on people s wouls will also be examined. In Chapter Ⅳ, realistic description and the process of expression through color will be examined. I will also study the dominant color of my art, which is blue. I have expressed lyrical images and space through color changes by either connecting objects with the sea or by examining just the sea by itself. Also, I have tried to express the sea by thinking of the symbolic meaning of the color blue, going beyond realistic description. For instance, I have lined up blue surfaces and omitted others to rearrange the objects in art. In producing my art, I have focused on color to express the sea. I have used variegated powder-colors on materials such as paper and cloth. Through my work, I have observed the sea in various angles and have tried to express the image of an object through color. I have also felt the need for new attempts.
