계절에 따른 정서의 표현연구

Abstract

인간은 환경의 동물이다. 인간은 좋든 싫든 자신에게 주어진 환경을 받아들이고 그에 적응하며 살아간다. 자연환경은 필연적으로 인간에게 주어진 환경이며 인간은 자신을 둘러싸고 있는 자연이라는 공간 속에서 삶을 영위해 나간다. 인간정신구조의 가장 기본이 되는 정서 역시 자연환경에 의해 많은 영향을 받게 된다. 자연은 단 한 순간도 정지해 있지 않고 ‘계절’이라는 뚜렷한 변화를 통해 그 모습을 달리하며 인간은 그러한 자연의 변화된 모습을 색채의 변화를 통해 확실히 지각하게되고 그로 인해 세월의 흐름과 정서를 달리한다. 본 연구자는 계절에 따라 변화되는 인간의 정서를 표현하기 위해 나무를 주 소재로 삼고, 계절을 대표하는 색채를 이용하여 각 계절이 지니는 특징적인 정서를 일러스트로 표현해 보고자한다. 작품제작을 위한 이론적 배경으로 문헌을 통해 정서의 개념과 이론, 종류, 표현방법 등을 심리학적인 측면에서 고찰해 보고 계절의 개념에 대해 기상학적인 측면에서 알아보고자 한다. 정서는 환경 즉, 외부자극에 의해 영향을 받게 되는데 인간이 계절의 변화를 지각할 수 있는 수많은 자극 중에서 시각적 자극에 해당하는 색채의 변화야말로 계절을 지각하는데 있어 가장 효과적인 자극이다. 따라서 시각적 자극에 해당하는 색채가 계절에 따른 정서를 표현하는데 가장 효과적인 방법이라 생각되어 색채에 대한 이론 역시 문헌을 통해 면밀히 고찰해 보고 환경으로서의 계절에 따른 인간의 정서가 색채와 어떤 연관이 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 계절에 따른 정서를 표현함에 있어서 계절의 변화를 가장 민감하게 반영해 주는 나무를 소재로 그 형태와 색감을 달리하여 8점의 작품을 제작 하고자 한다. 제작에 있어서 재료는 풍부한 색채를 표현해 줄 수 있는 아크릴과 파스텔, 오일파스텔을 사용하여 계절마다 바뀌는 색채를 효과적으로 표현해 보고자 한다. 또한 겔 메듐을 사용하여 겨울나무와 날씨에 독특한 질감을 넣어 줌으로써 작품의 표현에 깊이를 주고자 한다. 또한 그림의 특징으로 단조로와 지기 쉬운 부분에 패턴을 넣어 줌으로써 독특한 개성을 더하고자 한다. 계절에 따른 정서를 일러스트로 표현함에 있어 시각자극에 의한 색채의 비중은 생각했던 것 이상으로 인간의 정서에 많은 영향을 주고 있었다. 작품의 제작에 있어 나무의 형태로서도 정서를 나타내고자 하였으나 색채를 통해 보는 이로 하여금 어떠한 계절을 표현한 것인지 별다른 설명이 없이도 지각할 수 있도록 하는데 더욱 비중을 두었다. ; A human being is an environmental animal. Whether or not he is fond of it, he continues to live on, accepting and adjusting himself to given environment. A natural environment is inevitably given one to a human being, he continues to be alive in the space of nature surrounding himself. The emotion that becomes the most basis on the structure of human spirit is also significantly affected by a natural environment. Nature isn t suspended even for a time and make its figure different through a distinct change of seasons, therefore, a human being can certainly perceive the changed figure of nature through the change of its color, and varies the flow of years and the emotion from the perception. I am going to adapt a tree as a main subject for the emotion of a human being which hangs with the seasons, and represent the distinct emotion appeared on each season through illustrations. For the theoretical background of my work I am going to research the concepts, theories, types, and methods of expression on emotion with the related documents on a psychological viewpoint, and study the concept of the seasons on a atmospheric viewpoint. Emotion is affected by an environment, external stimulation, and the change of color applicable to visual one among a lot of stimulation by which a human being be able to perceive the change of seasons is the most effective one to perceive the seasons. Therefore, on the thoughts that color as a visual stimulation would be the most effective tool to represent emotion regarding the seasons, and I m going to research the theories regarding color through the related documents. In representing emotion regarding the seasons based on this theoretical background, I am going to produce 8 pieces of works, varying the style and feelings about color as a subject of a tree that reflect the emotion regarding the seasons most sensitively. For my work I intend to represent the seasonally-changed colors effectively, using acryx, pastels that be able to represent abundant colors as a material. Also, I like to show the depth of the work by putting special feeling of texture in the tree of winter and weather, using Gel Medium. In addition, for the characteristic of my work I like to mark in a special way by putting some patterns in the parts apt to be monotonous. In representing emotion regarding the seasons through illustrations, the importance of color on visual stimulation appeared to affect of a human being more significantly than I thought. Regarding this work I tried to represent emotion as the type of a tree, and I gave more weights to help any person who observed though color to easily perceive which season this work represented without a particular explanation.
