신앙공동체에서 여성의 정체성 확립 교육에 관한 연구 : 성인초기여성을 중심으로

Abstract

오랜 세월 존속되어 온 가부장제적 인간이해는 우리 사회의 문화관습 속에, 고전적 기독교 신학과 교회 전통 속에 뿌리 깊이 자리하고 있다. 이러한 성차별적 이데올로기는 여성을 비인간화함과 동시에 여성이 자아정체성을 상실하도록 하는 결과를 초래했다. 따라서 본 논문은 모든 인간에게 평등하게 열려진 기독교교육의 장인 신앙공동체 안에서 여성이 주체적인 한 인간으로 인간화되어 정체성을 회복할 수 있도록 교육모델을 구성하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 제1장은 서론으로 문제제기와 본 논문의 연구목적 및 연구방법을 소개하였다. 본 논문은 초기성인기 여성을 연구대상으로 진행하므로 그 시기 여성에 대한 전(前)이해를 필요로 한다. 그러므로 제2장에서는 인간은 계속해서 성장, 발달해가며 생의 단계에 따라 역할과 발달과제가 주어진다는 발달이론에 비추어 초기 성인기를 이해하고 이 시기 여성의 특성을 살펴보았다. 이 시기 여성은 가부장제적 사회문화에 길들여져 남성에게 종속된 정체성을 갖게 되어 초기 성인기에 이루어야하는 발달과제인 정체성확립을 이루지 못하게 된다. 따라서 이에 대한 문제의식을 가지고 제3장에서는 여성심리학적, 사회 문화적, 여성 신학적인 이해를 통하여 성차별적이고 여성억압적인 구조를 비판하고, 여성의 정체성 상실에 대한 문제를 노출시켜 이시기 여성의 기독교교육의 필요성을 밝혔다. 제4장에서는 성인초기여성의 정체성 확립을 위한 교육이론으로 자아지향적 학습을 통해 자기를 인식하고 객관화시켜 주체적인 한 인간으로서 자신의 삶을 조명할 수 있는 교육이론인 노울즈의 안드라고지를 소개하였다. 제5장에서는 성인초기여성들이 정체성을 회복하여 주체적인 한 인간으로 현 삶의 자리에서 자신의 비젼을 발견해 나갈 수 있도록 하는 교육방법을 모색해 보았다. 가부장제적 인간이해에 기초한 기존의 교회전통이나 고전신학적 교리를 일방적으로 전달하는 기존의 교육방법으로는 비인간화되어 정체성을 상실한 여성들에게 주체적으로 자신을 인식할 수 있는 시각을 열어 줄 수 없다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 여성들의 사고체계가 남성위주의 성차별적 관념 속에서 형성되어 왔다는 사실을 인식하고, 모든 인간에게 공평하게 열려진 기독교교육의 장(場)인 신앙공동체 안에서 하나님의 형상에 따라 지음 받은 인간성을 회복하여 여성이 자아 정체성을 확립할 수 있도록 하는 교육모델을 제시하였다. 토마스 그룸의 5단계의 변증법적 해석과정으로 구성된 교육모델을 통하여 현재 여성들의 경험에서 그들의 삶과 과거 기독교전통을 비판적으로 성찰하고, 여성들의 이야기들과 기독교의 이야기, 그리고 여성들의 비젼들과 기독교 비젼사이의 변증법적인 해석을 통해 새로운 비젼을 발견하게 하여 성인초기 여성이 자신의 정체성을 확립할 수 있도록 시도해 보았다. 본 논문의 마지막 장인 결론에서는 내용을 종합평가하고 그 적용성과 앞으로 보완되어야할 과제들을 언급하며 결론을 맺었다. ; Patriarchal understanding of human sustained for a long time has taken its deep root at the ancient Christian theology and church tradition in the culture and customs of our society. This sex discriminative ideology has caused women to be inhuman and their self-identity to be lost. Thus this article aimed to formulate an educational model with which women can be humanized and recover their identity as a subjective human being in the community of faith, the context of equally open Christian education to all human beings. Chapter 1 pointed out problems as introduction, and introduced the goal and method of this article. This article conducts its research on adult women in their early age, so needs preliminary understanding of those women in their age group. Thus chapter 2 strived to identify the adulthood in its early age and explore the characteristics of women in this age in the light of the development theory that humans continuously grows and develops and their role and development task are given according to the stage of life. Women in this age group are tamed in the patriarchal society and culture, so have identity subjected to men, and do not come to establish identity, the development task to be achieved in their early stage. Therefore, with the awareness of such problem, chapter 3 presented the need of Christian education for women at this age group by criticizing sex discriminative and women suppressive structure and bringing up with the issue of women s identity loss through feminist psychologial, social-cultural and feminist theological understanding. Chapter 4 introduced andragogy of Knowels, an education theory with which to recognize and objectify self and look into their own life through self-directed learning as an educational theory for establishing earl adult women s identification. In chapter 5, I tried woman search for the method of education to establish early adult woman s identification. Existing educational method unilaterally transmitting church traditions and ancient theological doctrines based on patriarchal understanding of human can not provide a vision to subjectively recognize themselves for the women being inhuman and having lost their identity. Thus this article presented an educational model with which women recognize the fact that women s thinking system has been formed in the men-oriented sex discriminative ideology and recover formed humanity and establish their identity according to the God s shape in the community of faith open to the context of Christian education. This chapter made an attempt that adult women in their early stage can critically reflect on their life and past Christian tradition through an educational model composed of the 5 step interpretation process of Thomas Groom, and they can discover new vision and establish their identity of women in their early stage through dialectic interpretation between women s vision and Christian vision. The last chapter of this article, the conclusion comprehensively assessed total contents and mentioned applicability and tasks to be supplemented in the future.
