태권도 지도자의 교육신념과 실제에 관한 연구

Abstract

태권도는 2000년 시드니 올림픽에서 정식종목으로 채택되면서 세계적인 스포츠종목으로 부상하였다. 태권도의 활성화와 함께 아동의 참여가 급격히 증가하고 있는 실정에서 지도자의 신념이나 생각과 지도행동은 어린 학습자들에게 직접적인 영향을 미치므로 지도자의 신념과 실제에 관한 연구가 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 태권도 도장에서 태권도를 지도하고 있는 지도자들의 교육 신념과 실제의 경향 및 교육 신념과 실제간의 차이를 분석하고, 차이에 대한 원인을 알아보는데 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 서울 · 경기지역에 위치한 태권도도장에서 태권도를 지도하고 있는 지도자들에게 설문지를 배부한 후, 수거된 210부의 설문지를 연구 대상으로 설정하였다. 연구도구는 Spodek의 신념분류기준과 Peaters 등과 최윤정, 오채선, 김수영의 연구에서 사용한 설문지를 기초로 하여 본 연구에 적합하도록 수정, 보완한 설문지로서 개인적인 상황(연령, 현 단, 학력, 수련생수, 재교육 등) 5개 문항과 교육신념에 관한 성숙주의, 행동주의, 상호작용주의 각 10문항씩 30개의 문항, 그리고 교육신념과 실제 차이의 원인을 알아보기 위한 2개의 문항을 합하여 총 37개 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 자료 분석방법은 신념과 실제의 경향을 알아보기 위해서 빈도와 백분율을 사용하였고, 신념과 실제의 차이를 각 배경변인별로 알아보고 또한 태권도지도자가 인식한 신념과 실제간의 갈등에 대한 인식의 차이를 분석하기 위해 χ² 검증을 실시하였으며, 갈등의 원인을 분석하기 위해서 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 이상의 연구방법과 절차를 통하여 다음과 같은 결과가 나타났다. 첫째, 태권도지도자의 교육신념과 실제의 경향은 성숙주의, 행동주의, 상호 작용주의 순으로 나타났으며, 신념과 실제간에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 배경 변인에 따른 교육 신념과 실제의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 지도자의 연령, 현 단, 학력, 수련생의 수에 따른 신념과 실제의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 재교육을 받은 지도자보다 받지 않은 지도자의 경우에 대하여 그 신념과 실제의 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도지도자들은 자신의 교육 신념과 실제간의 차이에 대한 갈등 정도를 실제 분석된 차이보다 높게 인식하였다. 넷째, 태권도지도자가 인식하는 교육 신념과 실제간의 갈등 원인은 ‘시설, 기구 등의 물리적 환경과 재정의 부족’(23.2%), ‘학부모의 기대와 요구에 부딪힌 갈등’(22.3%), 그리고 ‘과중한 업무로 인한 시간부족’(17.3%)의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 태권도지도자가 수련생을 지도하는데 있어서 교육 신념과 실제간에 차이를 줄이기 위하여 학교나 지도자 연수기관에서 지도자 교육과정에 지도자의 확고한 신념 구축을 위한 교육이 이루어져야 하며, 보다 폭넓은 재교육의 기회가 제공되어야 한다. 또한 지도자 스스로 전문적 자질향상을 위한 자신의 노력이 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다. ; Taekwondo has been arouse the global sports as adopted pt 2000 Sydney Olympics. With activity of Taekwondo and child s participations are highly increasing, these study about instructor s faith and real teaching is needed for instructor s faith, thought and guides directly effect to little ones. Therefore this aim is to found cause and difference between educational faith and real tendency. For accomplish this points, questionnaire is distributed to present Taekwondo instructor at Seoul and Kyongi province, and collected 210 questionnaire are selected for sample. As study instrument is revised and amended questionnaire based on Spodek s Educational beliefs Inventory used by Peterson et al. and Choi Yon-Jung, Oh Chae-sun, Kim Soo-Young s research, this study is composed of the total 37 question through personal situation(age, present dan, education, number of student and reeducation) 30 questions of the each 10 questions to maturlty, behaviorism, interactions about educational faith. This study used data analysis methods is used to found the faith and real tendency through frequency and percentage, the difference between the faith and real teaching found into the each circumstantial variable, finally x^2 inspection is used for Taekwondo instructor recognized real difference between faith and discord, and frequency or percentage is computed to analysis for cause of discord. Through these study method and processing following this consequence. First, it has been shown that Taekwondo instructor s educational faith and tendency in order maturity, behaviorism, and interactions. Second, following as result of difference between educational faith and real teaching, it is not found that different between faith and real education follow to instructor s age, present dan, education and number of student. but reeducated instructor is shown the difference between the faith and real teaching than educated instructor. Third, Taekwondo instructor has recognized discord about difference between educational faith and real teaching than really found difference. Fourth, the cause of discord that Taekwondo instructor has recognized themselves educational faith and real teaching is the lack of physical environment such as facilities and instruments(23.2%), discord against parents expecion and need(22.3%) and the lake of time is cause by hard work(17.3%). As these research conduce, university or instructor training association should organize educational proceeding to complete to instructor s firm faith. And, instructor they need to self effort to upgrade the ground of speciality s skill of Taekwondo.
