공공지하공간 환경개선을 위한 색채디자인 연구 : 종합운동장 지하철 역사(驛舍)를 중심으로

Abstract

오늘날 색채 정보의 무질서한 상황과 환경색채에 대한 인식의 부족은 인간에게 심리, 생리, 행태적으로 부정적인 자극을 초래하고 있다. 도시개발의 한계성과 지가상승으로 인해 토지의 적극적인 공간 활용이 더욱 더 절실한 이 시점에서 본 연구자는 공공지하공간의 환경개선을 위해 현 지하철 역사(驛舍)의 문제점을 제기하며 그러한 과정을 통해 발견된 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 본 연구는 우리의 주 교통수단으로 중추적 역할을 하고 있는 지하철 역사 가운데 편리한 교통조건과 국제적 행사를 치루기도 한 종합운동장 역 - 현재 송파구청에서 관광명소로 만들 계획이 있는 곳으로 특히 타 역사와의 차별성이 필요로 하다고 생각되는 공간 - 을 대상으로 환경색채계획 및 적용에 따른 시각화 과정을 제시한다. 이에 대한 해결방안을 색채의 현황분석, 도시와 인간, 색채와의 관계성에서 찾고자 하였고 색채가 지하철 역사에 미치는 영향과 적용방법을 이론적 검증을 통해 구체화하여, 그에 따른 연구 진행을 하였다. 상호관계성을 중요시하는 환경색채계획으로 인간에게 긍정적인 행태의 지원성(affordance)을 제시하며, 인간·환경·색채를 통합적인 관점으로 해석하여 환경에 풍부한 의미를 갖게 하여 이용자에게 다양한 경험을 하게 하고, 자아를 회복하게 하는 장소성을 형성시켜 삶의 질을 향상시키는 것을 본 연구의 목적으로 둔다. 이에 따른 연구의 전개는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공공지하공간 환경 개선을 위한 본 연구의 목적을 밝히고 그 범위와 방법을 서술하였다. 둘째, 도시를 하나의 환경 모체로 두고 지하공간 그 가운데서도 공공지하공간인 지하철의 생성배경과 그 특성을 살펴보았다. 그리고 서울지하철 현황의 분석을 통해 문제점과 그에 따른 이용자 실태를 파악하였다. 셋째, 지하철 색채계획을 위한 이론적 배경으로 이용자의 행태적 측면에서 색채와 조명에 대한 반응을 먼저 분석, 정리하였고 도시의 기본 기능들과 관련 있는 색채의 기능들을 정의하였다. 이와 같은 사실을 근거로 색채의 시각적인 지원성 가운데 공공성의 정도가 높은 기능이 본 연구에서 중요시 되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 그리고, 현 지하철의 공간 구성, 색채 현황, 그리고 색채 계획에 필요한 이론 등에 관한 직접적 조사와 함께 관찰, 문헌 연구를 통해 연구의 타당함을 밝힌다. 넷째, 본 연구의 대상공간인 종합운동장 역의 선정 이유를 밝혀 타당성을 입증하고 대상지 주변환경을 구체적으로 분석하였다. 뿐만 아니라 대상지 이용 현황별 혼잡도, 색채, 조도 등의 분석을 통해 문제 해결 방안을 구체화시켰다. 다섯째, 디자인 기본 개념을 설정한 후 대안을 두 가지 안으로 나누어 제안하고 디자인 모티프를 패턴화 하여 적용시켰다. 이를 적용시키는 시각화 과정에서는 색채의 기능별 수행능력과 비렌의 조화원리 관점을 취하였으며 뉘앙스 중심의 색채계획을 통하여 다양 하면서도 통일된 이미지를 지니는 장소로 대상 환경을 개선하는 것에 의의를 두었다. 여섯째, 최종 디자인에서는 피드백에 의해 디자인 기본 개념을 다시 한번 재검토하는 기회를 가졌고, 그에 따른 문제점을 개선하여 본 연구의 타당함을 입증하였다. 일곱째, 이러한 연구결과를 종합하여 본 연구의 한계점, 기능적 통합 효과에 대해 언급하였다. 본 연구자는 전체적인 진행과정을 통해 감성의 시대인 21세기의 환경문제 해결을 환경색채계획으로 접근할 때 보다 효과적이고 기능적인 통합을 이루어 새로운 공간 창출 즉 고부가가치를 지닌 환경으로의 가능성을 지닌다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이용자의 행태로부터 환경디자인에 관한 정보를 끌어내 디자인에 적용시켜 인간의 심리적인 여유와 삶의 질적 수준 및 태도를 향상시켜 주는데 그 의의가 있다. 오늘날 사회, 문화, 경제적 상황에 맞춰 공간 구성에 새로운 대안들이 제시되고 있는 시점에서 환경색채계획의 정비가 새로운 대안의 가능성으로 파급되기를 바란다.; Today necessity of recognition for environmental color and confused circumstances of color information is causing negative effects psychologically to human behavior. And the limit of developing city and the increase of a land value need more use of space. Treating a problem of underground to improve the circumstances of it, this study would solve the found problem. This study shows the process of visualizing Sports Complex Station by planning and application of environmental color ,where haves a convenient traffic condition and need difference of the other for a Song-Pa strict office to make it a sight spot. Solving the problem this study try to find a solution in the present condition analysis of color and the relationship city, people with color and give shape to how color have a effect on subway and keep on studying. The purpose of this study is to suggest the positive affordance to people by environmental color planning focusing on mutual relationship to make the people using subway to have much expe riences by analyzing man, surroundings, colors to improve the quality of life. This thesis consists of the following. 1. This study describes the scope and the method to improve the Complex Stadium Station. 2. A background and the character of the subway where is a public underground space among the underground spaces of the city is researched. By analyzing the present condition of Seoul subway, This study finds the problems and the user s actual condition. 3. On the theoretical basis of the color planning of subway, analyze and arrange the reacts of color and light, and define the function of color having relation to the basic functions of a city. By the proof like these facts, the function having a high level of public welfare among the visual application of color should be handled significantly in this study. This study proves that it is right through the observation, the documents reference and the direct research of the theory being needed in the space design, color condition and color planning. 4. This study describes its propriety through the reason of selecting Sports Complex Station as a space of this research. There is a analysis of its environment. In addition, the way of solving problem is embodied through the analysis of the complexity, color, illumination, and so on. 5. After selecting the basic concept of design, this research proposes the alternative that is divided, and patterns the motif of design. In the process of visualization, the ability of accomplishment according to the function of color and the Birren s principles of harmony are selected. Through the color planning focusing on the nuance, the study intends to transform the environment, that is the object of this paper, into the various and unified place. 6. In the final design, after the basic concept of design is re-appraised by feedback, this study described its propriety through improving several problems. 7. In conclusion, this research shows the limit of this study and the effect of functional integration. Through the total course, this study shows that environmental problems of 21C, a sensitive period, are solved by approaching to the plan of environment color, and efficient and functional unity produces a new space, high value-added environment. As leading information of environment design from user s behavior, a new environment design will elevate the human s mental room and the quality of life. Nowadays, in the social, cultural, economic situation, the new alternatives are presented. This study hopes that the arrangement of environmental color planning will be a new alternative.
