꼴라쥬, 책거리, 조각보를 土臺로 한 작품분석

Abstract

이 세상 모든 개체는 각각의 부분들로 이루어져 있다. 과학적으로 세분화 하 자면 눈에 보이지 않는 분자, 원자까지 나눌 수 있겠지만 일상생활에서 우리 가 확인할 수 있는 부분들도 많다. 흙과 풀, 나무들이 모여 숲을 이룰 때 흙, 풀, 나무는 숲의 일부분들이다. 인간도 여러 기관들과 많은 감정이 복합된 개 체이다. 즉 모든 것은 각각의 조각들이 모여 하나의 대상을 만드는 것이고 하 나 의 대상을 분리하면 작은 부분으로 남는 것이다. 이 작은 부분은 해체와 결합의 순서를 달리 하면 같은 조각이더라도 다른 형상을 만들어 낸다. 본인의 작업은 이러한 어떤 대상의 해체와 결합이라는 것에서 출발하여 각 단면들을 이어서 새로운 대상을 만드는 것이 ‘꼴라쥬’ 효과라 보고 이러한 효 과를 채색만으로, 혹은 직접 종이 조각을 겹쳐 붙여서 처음의 형태와는 다르 게 새로이 나타나는 비정형의 형상들을 화면 위에 표현해 보고자 한다. 과거 우리 전통 미술에서도 여러개의 작은 조각들을 이어붙인 효과를 거둔 작업들이 있었다. 예를 들자면 화면과 색채를 여러개의 면으로 분할하는 구성 방식의 민화 ‘책거리’그림과 천조각을 이어붙인 조각보, 여성용가구인 화각장 의 면구성, 또는 다면체의 색종이 반짇그릇 같은 것들이다. 이들 외에도 많은 전통작품들을 들 수 있겠으나 본인의 작품에 색채의 사용과 문양묘사에 영향 을 준 ‘책거리’그림과 조각보를 매개로 작품설명을 해 나가고자 한다. 또한 조 각보를 구성하는 한복 천에는 독특한 특징이 있다. 문양이 있는 천 위에 얇은 천을 놓으면 아래에 놓인 문양이 희미하게 비치는 것과, 같은 색상의 얇은 천 을 중첩하면 그 부분은 색상이 짙어지게 된다. 이러한 특징을 작품제작시에 다양 한 표현방법으로 응용함으로써 작품의 내용적인 면과 방법적인 면의 근 간을 이루게 하였다. 이를 토대로써 본 연구 작품을 분석해 봄으로 앞으로의 작품제작에 나아갈 방향을 제시하는데 도움을 주고자 한다. ; `COLLAGE means paste other material and show it as in one object. Usually `Collage means only paste object to create another, but in this thisis, `Collage means much more broad than it s in ordinary dictionary. `Collage can be shown without paste object, just using broush or some fabrics can be shown as `Collage . Acording to the idea has been givin above, this thisis use `Chaecgeoli painting and `Chogakpo to explain what is `Collage . At first, `Chaecgeoli paintings see s object in various of point, then put all together in one screen. That s how few object can be shown as one object in screen. Object made up by connecting various visual point can be explain as part of `Collage . It only used broush and visual point so it can be called `Visual collage . Also `Chaecgeoli painting s as well. `Chogakpo also used decorations used in `Chaecgeoli painitings, for example fabrics in various of colors, different patterns of fabrics put together. That is the characteristics of `Collage in this thisis. My works are divided into few different sections. `Coloring Time , `Transitional Period , and `Exclusion of color Collage . Every different piece have different style, but all of them has commom characteristics because it has done by `Collage technique. `Coloring Time used many different colors to show visual point of `Collage . By only doing coloring, shows `Chogakpo patterns. That is how it can be explain as `Visual point of Collage . The motive of this piece is a traditional Korean fabrics and `Chokakpo . This piece used techinique s of few different patterns of fabrics pile together, to show visual point of `Collage . To emphasis natural colors of fabrics and patterns, piece decorated with many different colors. `Transitional Period temperate colors then `Coloring Time . The piece used olny black, white, and blue tone of colors. The piece used acture `Collage techinique by paste some papers. The piece has done during this period of time used thin Korean fabrics pile together so color can be more emphasis, and the flower, birds, and tree patterns are idolized. `Exclusion of color Collage piece is done by black china ink and white sheet of paper. In separate sheet of paper, color with black china ink then paste with thin china drawing paper. By doing that artist can express different shade point. Even though black china ink are all black, the black color can be shown very different, depends on how many sheet of papers has been put together. Also, when few separate sheet of papers put together, the white color is more emphasis. These techinique s are characteristics of `Coloring Time and `Transitional Period . `Coloring Time use only colors to show Collage , Transitional Period use paint and papers, and `Exculsion of color Collage use acture `Collage techinique s by paste papers on screen. My piece shows image from china ink to various of colors using `Collage techinique s, and these color s are from `Chaecgeoli and `Chogakpo , that is how I named this thsis `Research of foundation in Collage, Chaecgeoli, and Chogakpo . To understand better, I included esquise and cubisms about `Collage , and used many different materials about `Collage .
