여성복 직물 디자인을 위한 헤링본 조직 연구 : 샘플 제작을 중심으로

Abstract

현대사회는 사회적, 문화적으로 많은 변화와 다양함이 내재되어 있으며, 의상은 이러한 변화를 표현하는 시각적인 표현수단이다. 오늘날의 모든 산업은 패션성과 깊은 연관이 있으며, 직물산업에서는 특히 패션성이 중요시된다. 패션은 한 시대의 표현이라 할 수 있다. 즉, 사회가 복잡해지고 세분화 됨에 따라서 패션도 이에 따라 변화하고 다양해지는 것이다. 이제 의상직물은 단순히 신체를 보호하는 수단이 아닌 한 사람의 감정과 가치관을 표현하는 매체인 것이다. 세계적으로도 사양산업으로 간주되었던 섬유산업은 신소재의 개발과 기술의 진보와 함께 개성화된 개개인의 표현 도구로써, 회복의 단계에 들어섰으며, 우리나라의 섬유산업도 침체된 직물산업의 호황을 위해 해결방안을 모색해야 되는 시점에 있다. 과거의 대량생산에 의한 저가품 생산체제에서 다품종 소량생산의 전환은 개성화, 다양화, 차별화 경향을 띠는 오늘날의 추세에 부합되는 방향이다. 아울러 늘어나는 여성의 사회진출, 그리고 거기에 따른 사회적인 역할 변화와 물질적인 풍요로움은 고품질의 세련된 직물을 원하며, 감각적 직물 디자인의 개발과 부가가치 높은 직물의 생산이 요구되고 있다. 현재 국내 여성복 업계는 심리적인 가치를 부여하는 지식집약적 산업의 특징을 가진다. 과거 정장위주로 전개되었던 여성복 시장은 유행을 따르기 보다는 자기 자신의 개성을 표현하는데 주력하는 소비자들의 변화에 의해 시장 세분화가 이루어졌으며, 많은 브랜드들이 출시되었다. 가격이 싸거나 유명 브랜드라 하여 구입하지 않으며, 자신의 감성에 따라 상품을 선택하는 소비의식과 연령에 관련 없이 패션에 민감한 소비자의 경향은 국내 여성복 시장을 확대하고 발전시키는 계기가 되었다. 그러나 이를 받쳐줄 감각적인 고급 직물은 미흡한 상황이다. 오늘날 여성복이 남성적인 스타일을 흡수하고 받아들이면서 헤링본은 여성복 직물로 그 활용도가 늘어나고 있다. 이에 따라서 기존의 모방위주의 획일적인 직물 디자인의 개선 방안으로 본 연구자는 현재의 트랜드를 반영한 차별화된 감각적인 헤링본 조직의 직물연구를 그 목적으로 두었다. 본 논문에서는 헤링본의 특징과 여성복으로의 그 유형을 나누어 여러 가지 용도로 헤링본을 제시하였으며, 샘플제작에 있어서도 다양한 스타일로 적용이 가능하도록 제작에 임하였다. 작품제작에서는 다양한 표면효과와 터치(touch)와 두께감을 살려 개성있고 독창적인 직물제작을 시도하였으며, 색상에서는 전반적으로 그레이(gray), 부라운(brown), 불루(blue)계열을 사용해 점잖고 차분함을 강조하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 헤링본의 다양한 디자인 개발에 도움이 되기를 바라며 자아 만족과 자기 표현의 수단으로의 직물 디자인 연구에 발전이 있기를 바란다. ; Today, our society is full of various social and cultural diversities and clothes are a visual expression of those. Every industry is related to fashion, and for the textile industry, it is the most important thing. Fashion is an expression of our time. As the society gets complicated and subdivided, the fashion also changes and verifies. Textile for clothes is not only a method to protect the body but to express one’s feeling and value. Worldwidely, the textile industry used to be the declining industry but for the development of new fiber and advance of technology, it recovered quickly as a tool for individuality. And now Korean textile industry must seek a solution for prosperous future. Conversion from a mass production with low price to a small quantity with multi-production is needed for today’s individuality, multiplicity, and differentiation. The increase of women’s role in the society, the changes of social status, and the plentitude of materials made today’s consumers to want sophisticated high quality textiles and as a result, sensual and high value added textile designs are strongly needed. Today’s domestic textile industry has characteristics of intensified knowledge industry, for it adds psychological value to the product. Women’s wear market in the past developed mainly by formal clothes but now consumers, rather than following popular fashion, are putting all their effort to express their originality. Therefore, by the changes of customer s behavior, the market subdivided and many apparel companies aroused. Low price and names of brand no longer make people to purchase. Buying products by individualism and ageless sensitive consumers gave an opportunity for the domestic industry to grow and develop. But, the interest and attention for highly sensitive fabrics is treated lightly. As for multi-mixed trend, the reinterpretation of the past influenced by ecology and recycling theory made herringbone structures to boom again. And as women’s wear started to borrow men’s characteristics, the use of herringbones increased. Therefore, for the improvement of textile design which used to be standardized, this study is focused on differentiated sensible herringbones with reflection on today’s fashion trend. In this study, herringbones are classified by their usage and their characteristics have been investigated. For making samples, various styles are taken into consideration. Various surface, touch, and volume are used for creativity. In colors, gray, brown, and blue are mostly used for emphasize on gentle calmness. By this study, it would help in developing various herringbone structures and it is expected as a guide line in the textile design industry to make a product as a tool for self-satisfaction and self-expression.
