영화의 문학교육적 수용 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 영화를 문학교육의 텍스트로 수용하게 된 근거를 밝히고 그에 따라 영화를 수용한 문학교육의 구체적인 교육내용과 방법을 제시하는 것이다. 현대사회의 급격한 매체환경의 변화에 힘입어 이러한 매체를 교육적 논의나 계획에 체계적으로 포함시켜야 할 필요성이 제기되었고 이에 따라 매체교육도 점차 발달하게 되었다. 그러나 그 동안 대다수의 문학교육 연구자들은 매체환경의 변화에 적극적으로 대응해야 한다는 당위성을 주장하며 그 방향성을 모색해왔을 뿐 그 구체적인 실천방안을 제시하지는 못했다. 그리고 현대사회의 청소년들에게 강력한 영향력을 행사하고 있는 영상매체를 실제 문학교육 현장에 수용하는 데 있어서도, 많은 교사들이 영상매체를 교과서 학습의 단순한 보조도구로만 이용할 뿐 문학교육의 텍스트 자체로는 간주하지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 학습자의 관심과 흥미를 고려하고 그들에게 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 학습자 중심 문학교육의 틀 안에서 학습자에게 친숙한 영화를 중심 텍스트로 선정하여 그것을 그 시나리오와 함께 교재화하여 문학교육 현장에 수용하는 방안을 모색하였다. 이처럼 본 연구에서는 대중적인 상업영화를 그 문학적 하위요소인 시나리오와 함께 문학교육의 텍스트로 수용함으로써 문학교육과 매체교육의 목표를 동시에 달성하는 방안을 마련하는데 도움이 될 수 있도록 하였다. II장 제7차 국어과 교육과정과 매체교육에서는 국어교육과의 변화와 문해력 개념의 변화, 그리고 국어교재관의 변화를 통해 매체교육과 국어교육의 관계를 정립하였다. 그리고 제7차 고등학교 국어과 교육과정에서 영상매체 교육이 차지하고 있는 위상과 함께 현재 고등학교 문학교육의 영화 텍스트 수용 양상을 살펴봄으로써 영화와 시나리오를 함께 문학교육의 텍스트로 수용해야 하는 당위성을 높이고자 하였다. III장 영화의 문학교육적 수용 방안에서는 영화와 시나리오의 교수-학습 내용 구성방안과 대안적인 교수-학습 방법을 제시하고 이를 토대로 대중적인 상업영화에 일반적으로 적용할 수 있는 교수-학습 모형을 제시하였다. IV장 영화의 문학교육적 수용 방안의 실제에서는 Ⅲ장에서 제시한 교수-학습 모형을 바탕으로 하여 대중적인 상업영화와 그 시나리오를 문학교육 현장에 수용할 때의 구체적인 내용과 학습활동을 구안하여 제시하였다. 영화와 같은 대표적인 영상매체를 시나리오와 같은 문학적 요소와 병행하여 교육하는 문학교육 방안의 모색은 변화하는 시대의 문학교육의 범위를 확장하고 이와 함께 문학교육의 위상을 높이는 데 중요한 하나의 방법이 될 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.; The purpose of this study is to give rationales for receiving a film in literature education and to present what to teach about it and how to teach it in literature education. A change in the media environment realized the necessity of media education, and it has been applied to Korean literature education as well. Nowadays, the past mode of narrative experience, reading novels, has changed to viewing and listening to the film which is made up of images and sounds. This shift in the mode of narrative experience from novel to the film is demanding reform of literature education. Like this, a film is anything but to be separable from the modern society and the need for proper education about is urgent. But most of the research workers did not make concrete the method of including the mass media with the korean literature education. And many teachers of korean literature have a tendency to regard the mass media as the subsidiary tool of teaching a textbook. Recently, the theory that literature education should take into consideration the learner s interest and concern gains recognition. Learner-centered literature education theory emphasizes that the education should be related to the learner s real experiences and should give them effective help. And in this mood, it is needed to pay attention to the film, because it is one of the most familiar media with students and one of the typical media that helps us experience our lives as a whole. Many students are familiar with the commercial film, and the scenario is regarded as the genre of literature. Under the influence of the learner-centered education theory, this study shows how to receive the commercial film and its scenario in Korean literature education. Through this process, this study tries to suggest rationales and specific procedure for the reception of the film. This study can achieve the objects of media education and literature education at the same time. ChapterII explains the intimate relationship between a media education and Korean language and literature education from various different point of view. In terms of the 7th curriculum, this chapter also emphasizes on the necessity of teaching scenario, according to the research on the actual condition of teaching films in the field of literature education. ChapterIII suggests the educational model of teaching the commercial film and its scenario in the field of literature education. ChapterIV makes a real example of teaching material manner using Korean film and its scenario. In this chapter, the texts like the film and the scenarios of Joint Security Area , A foul king , The letter , The connection , The zoo by the art museum etc were selected. Especially, it suggests to concrete learning method that manner of accepting media education in Korean literature education. This study is one of substitutions for extension of Korean literature education boundary and rising to its position.
