Johannes Brahms의 Op.91 zwei gesaenge에 관한 연구

Abstract

19세기의 낭만시대 음악은 유럽의 문학에서 영향을 받은 것으로 인간의 자유와 개성을 존중하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 그리하여 작곡가들은 감정과 사상의 제약없이 형식에 구애받지 않고 자유로이 표현할 수 있었던것이다. 이 형식은 바로 전 시대인 고전주의의 양식과는 대조적인 것이었다. 낭만주의 시대의 가곡은 시와 음악의 결합이라는 새로운 이상이 자리잡으며더욱 발전해 나갔다. 음악의 색깔이 그 곡의 의미를 나타내듯이 언어도 음악을 전달하는데 중요한 역할을 한 것이다. 또한 곡에서의 리듬, 화성, 반주등은시와 더불어 음악의 정경을 그려내는데 필수요소인 것이다. Johannes Brahms (1833-1897)는 낭만주의 시대의 전성기에 활동하면서 고전주의적인 요소를 바탕으로 한 보수파의 대표자이다. 그의 음악은선율의 통일성과 새로운 리듬의 사용, 노래 선율과 반주부의 동등한 역할강조, 시와 음악의 자연스러운 조화, 그리고 민요의 사용으로 Bach와Beethoven의 형식을 따랐다. Op.91 Zwei Gesa¨nge (두개의 가곡)는 비올라와 피아노를 수반한 Alto를위한두개의 가곡으로, 비올라가 반주부의 역할이 아닌 노래와 동등한역할을 한다는 점이 특징이다. 또한 피아노·비올라·노래가 각각 독자적인 선율로 표현되는 것 같지만 이들은 서로 융화되어 깊은 내면의 분위기를 나타낸다. 브람스는 철학자였고 신학자였으며 민속음악에 대한 연구자였고, 또한 Beethoven처럼 자연을 사랑한 작곡가였다. 본 논문에서는 고전주의 시대에서 어떠한 시대적인 배경으로 인하여낭만주의적인 경향으로 흘렀는지를 음악적인면 뿐아니라 역사적인 차원에서도 연구하였으며, J.Brahms의 전 생애를 통하여 그가 살아온 환경에대해 알고자한다. 또한 본 연구자의 음색에 적합한 작품인 Op.91 Zwei Gesa¨nge를 통하여 작곡가의 특징적인 면을 살펴보고자 한다. 본 논문은 일반 서적, 음악 잡지 기사, 학위 논문이 중점적으로 참고 되었으며, 기본적인 음악이론의 범위 안에서 작품을 해석하고자 노력하였다. ; The beginning of the nineteenth century was influenced by the literature from Europe, Which represents thoughts of humans freedom and respect of personality. Most composers could express their emotion and thoughts freely, and new era of music history called "Romantism" started since then. This style of music was different from the previous period style, "Classicism". The songs of the romanticism was a new formed style combining poetry to music, and this new formed style developed further and rapidly spread over in music field. Johannes Brahms (1833∼1897) was a neoclassicist who conservatively adhered to the German - classic form and achieved the golden age of German song in the Romantic period. His vocal writing does not aim to bring out the details of the poem by subtleties of declamation, but endeavors instead to portray its underlying mood by cloaking it with beautiful melody. The piano accompaniments are full and rich but again do not aim to subject the poem to detailed treatment. Op. 91 Zwei Gesa¨nge (Two songs) comprises two songs for Alto accompanied by Viola and Piano. The viola and piano are not only the accompanied part but also has equal importance to the vocal line. And this is the special character in the style of Brahms. The melody of the vocal and viola mix together with unique color and expose in depth human thoughts. The position of Brahms in the history of music is in some ways unique, for according to the style of his works his rightful place is directly after Beethoven and Schumann. Johannes Brahms, having been greatly contributed and representative composer during the romantic period, it is quite worthy to study on him as one of the student majored in Music.
