직물의 중첩효과 연구 : 중조직기법을 이용하여

Abstract

현대의 섬유미술은 마우하우스를 시작으로 오랜 역사를 통하여 시대적인 요구와 상황에 따라 틀이 잡혀지고 다듬어지면서 발전을 거듭하여 현대에가지 전해져 내려오고 있다. 때로는 새로운 예술 혀ㅛㅇ식을 창조하기 위하여 그 개념이나 조형성이 본래의 형식을 벗어나, 새롭고 다양한 소재나 기법 등을 근거로 자유로운 표현 양식이 추구되고 있다. 섬유예술의 조형적인 요소로의 다양한 변화는 평면의 2차원적인 표현 양식에서 입체의 3차원적인 형태로까지 발전하게 되었으며, 실험적인 작가들은 새로운 형태를 발견하고 이 형태를 끊임없이 발전시켜 또 다른 표현시도에 대한 추구로 예술의 폭을 넓혀가고 있다. 섬유예술세계에 새로운 소재와 기법, 그리고 형태를 위한 작가들의 끊임없는 관심과 열정은 다양한 양식의 섬유예술이 탄생되는 것을 가능하게 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 증조직 기법으로 표현되어지는 중첩의 이미지가 빛을 통하여 나타내는 색상, 질감, 소재의 은은함과 깊이감을 연구하는데 있다. 이론적 배경으로는 조직 직물 디자인을 연구하기 위하여 중첩을 통한 이지 표현에 대한 연구와 ?뼈? 투과되어 얻어지는색의 변화, 투명성에 의한 이미지를 여러 문헌 자료를 통해 고찰하고, 현대 섬유예술에서 얻어질 수 있는 중첩의 효과를 소재와 기법 면에서 알아보았을 뿐만 아니라, 여러 섬유작가들에 의한 중첩에 대한 표현영역을 사진자료를 통해 살펴보았다. 작품제작에 있어서 중조직으로 각기 다르게 짜여진 직물에 빛이 투과됨으로써 어덩지는 다양한 색의 표현과 그러부터 얻어질 수 있는 공간감에 대해 연구하기 위해 중조직 기법에 대해 알아보고, 직물이 겹쳐짐으로써 얻어지는 중첩 효과를 이용하여 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 섬유미술에서 중첩의 효과는서로 다른 직물의 결합에 의한 표면의 다층적 구조를 형성하여 공간의 확대를 가져왔으며, 빛의 투명성을 응용한 직물은 새로운 형태를 창조해냈다. 둘째, 섬유는 소재와 기법의 종류에 따라 강약의 번화, 재질감, 공간감 등이 다르게 나타나며, 서로 다른 색상과 질감을 지닌 층층의 직물이 합해져 또 다른색을 만들 수 있다는 점에 착안하여 공간의 깊이감과 변화감을 표현하였다. 셋째, 자연섬유와 화학섬유를 사용하여 이중직, 삼중직, 사중직의 중조직기법의 직물을 만들어 냄으로써 기법의 특수성과 소재의 조화성을 갖춘 직물을 표현하였다. 본 연구는 단순히 빛만을 투과시켜 보여지는 중첩 효과가 아닌, 빛을 통해 얻어지는 색의 다양성과 공간의 깊이감을 중조직기법을 이용하여 미적으로 자각하고 연구하고 하는데 있다. 즉 중첩의 이미지를 통해 본 연구자는 독특한 시각적 감정과 감수성을 표현하고자 하였다.; Began with Bauhaus, contemporary textile has had improved in a long history. It changed and adopted to fit the demand and situation of the times. Sometimes, to create a new art s format, it discarded orthodox format and concept: thus it pursued flexible expression based on new and diverse material or technique. Textile art as formative art even became a 3-D format from 2-D and experimental artist are pushing the enveloped of the artistic expression. These artists brings the life of various new format of textile art with their continuos passion and use of new technique. The object of this study is to deliver a sense of bellowing of light and depth of color of textile by overlapping image expressed by multi-layering techniques. For the theoretical background, to understand the textile design by overlapping, research of various books about overlapping image expression, color change by light, images of transparency was carried out. Furthermore, overlapping s effect from perspective of material and techniqeu on modern textile art was studied. For creating work, various multi-layering fabrics was researched to understand the color expression from light shed through various material and feeling of depth by these color. Also overlapping effect of multi-layering various material was particularly focused to create work. The result of this study is as follows; First, in textile art, overlapping effect created multi-dimensional structure by combining various material, making the sense of enlargement of space. In addition, fabrics with transparence of light created a new form. Secondly, textile delivered various fabric feel, sense of depth, feel of strength based on material and technique. On top of that, to expressed sense of depth and variation, overlapping several textile of different color and fabric. Thirdly, using natural and synthetic yarn of double, triple, and quadruple weaves, textile of sense of material harmony and distinguishing characteristic of multi-layering fabrics was produced. This study tried to show not just the effect of light shedding of overlapping. but the various color alteration effect and sense of depth by the multi-layering technique. Therefore, the image of overlapping will be expressed through the mediation of creator s visual feeling and sensitivity.
