대학생 자원봉사자의 자원봉사 활동 지속에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

Abstract

자원봉사에 대한 수요와 필요성이 날로 증가하고 있는 요즘 대학생 자원봉사자는 다른 자원봉사자에 비해 보다 체계적이며 전문적인 활동이 가능한 인력이고, 자원봉사에 참여하는 대상들 중 가장 비중을 많이 차지하고 있는 대상이기도 하므로 중요한 인적 자원이 되고있다. 대학생 자원봉사활동은 1995년부터 한양대에서 최초로 사회봉사과목을 개설하면서부터 해마다 급격한 증가추세를 보이고 있다. 이렇듯 사회봉사 과목 개설은 대학생 자원봉사의 활성화에 크게 기여하고 있으며, 자원봉사에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가되고 있는 추세로 볼 때, 앞으로도 그 중요성은 더욱 높아지리라고 전망된다. 그러나 사회봉사 과목을 수강한 경험이 있는 대학생들 중 약 15%만이 사회봉사과목을 재수강한 것으로 나타나 대학생 사회봉사 활동은 그 중요도나 비중에 비해 지속도라는 측면에서는 그 성과가 미약한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 사회봉사과목 수강을 통해 자원봉사 활동에 참여하게 된 대학생 자원봉사자들이 지속적으로 참여할 수 있는 방안을 모색 하고자 개인요인, 기관요인, 학교요인 측면에서 분석해 보았다. 대학생 자원봉사 활동 지속과 관련된 변인으로는 개인요인(개인적 속성, 사회봉사과목 수강 동기, 자원봉사 활동에 대한 이전 경험, 자원봉사에 대한 인식), 기관요인(기관의 유형, 관리방식, 봉사활동 내용, 봉사대상자와의 관계, 자원봉사 담당자 유형, 기관에서의 교육, 자원봉사자 모임), 학교요인(사전오리엔테이션, 행정처리 만족도)이었으며 연구를 통하여 살펴본 구체적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 1) 대학생 자원봉사자의 자원봉사 활동 지속에 영향을 미치는 변수를 살펴본다. 2) 대학생 자원봉사 활동에 관련된 제 변수(개인요인, 기관요인, 학교요인)와 자원봉사 활동 지속도와의 상관관계를 검증한다. 3) 대학생 자원봉사자의 지속적인 활동에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수를 밝혀본다. 4) 요인 분석을 토대로 학점제 대학생 자원봉사의 활성화 및 효과적인 관리방안을 마련하여 사회복지 기관 및 학교에 실무적인 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인요인과 대학생 자원봉사 활동 지속도와의 상관관계를 보면, 개인요인 중 개인적 속성인 종교요인에서 상관관계를 나타내었고, 성별과 자원봉사 활동 경험 요인도 근소하기는 하나 상관관계가 있는 것으로 보였다. 둘째, 기관요인과 대학생 자원봉사활동 지속도와의 상관관계를 살펴보면 자원봉사자 모임, 봉사활동 시간, 담당자와의 관계 순으로 상관관계를 나타냈다. 셋째, 학교요인과 지속도와의 상관관계를 살펴보면, 학교요인인 사전오리엔테이션, 행정처리 만족도 요인 등은 지속도와 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 지속도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 기관요인 중 자원봉사 시간, 봉사담당자에 대한 만족도가 지속도에 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 대학생 자원봉사 활동 활성화를 위해 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 자원봉사 담당자의 능력 배양 및 인간적 유대감 강화 둘째, 자원봉사자 모임의 활성화 셋째, 자원봉사 활동 시간의 적절한 배분 넷째, 학교교육의 활성화 다섯째, 대학생 자원봉사자들을 위한 프로그램 개발 이상과 같은 연구결과들은 대학생 자원봉사 활동 활성화를 위하여 활용될 수 있을 것이다. ; The purpose of this study is to offer the data for the effective factors of keeping up voluntary activity of college student volunteers by analyzing the variables - individual, social welfare agency s, and college s factors. The variables that can be suggested to have relation with duration on voluntary activity are individual factors(individual characteristics, motivation of attending on social service subject, experience for volunteer activity and cognition for volunteer activity), social welfare agency s factors(the type of social welfare agency and volunteer s manager, supervision, service job, and relationship with volunteer s manager, education, and meeting with volunteers), and college s factors(orientation and satisfaction for processing administration) And the research contents are as follows; 1. To find out the variables the influence the duration for voluntary activity. 2. To verify the co-relation between the variables and duration for voluntary activity. 3. To offer the data for efficient management and activating voluntary activity of college student volunteers to social welfare agency and college. Major results of this study are as follows ; 1. Religion among the individual factors have very close co-relation with the duration of voluntary activity. And sex and experience of voluntary activity also have a few co-relation with the duration of voluntary activity. 2. Volunteer s manager, total time of voluntary activity, and meeting for volunteer among social welfare agency s factors have co-relation with the duration of voluntary activity. 3. There is anti co-relation between the college s factor(orientation and satisfaction for processing administration) and duration of voluntary activity. Based on the major results of the study I would suggest activating for college student s voluntary activity. 1. To growth ability for volunteer s manager and strengthen relationship with volunteer s manager. 2. To activate the meeting for volunteer themselves. 3. To avoid keeping up same kind of voluntary activity. 4. To activate education in college. 5. To develop program for college student volunteer.
