황병기 가야금 독주곡의 리듬분석 : 숲, 가을, 석류집

Abstract

본 논문은 황병기의 가야금 독주곡 중 60년대에 작곡된 숲, 가을, 석류집을 중심으로 각 곡들의 리듬만을 분석하는데 목적을 둔다. 위의 3곡을 작곡된 순서대로 각 악장별로 리듬을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 숲(1963년, 4장)의 제1장은 도입부분과 본곡부분으로 나누어지는데 본곡부분에는 정악의 슬기둥 리듬이 나오는 것이 특징적이고 ♩로의 분할과 ♪로의 분할로 리듬이 변화하며 본곡부분은 여러 가지 박자로 이루어져 각 박자에 따라 다양한 리듬형이 나타난다. 제2장도 제1장과 마찬가지로 도입부분과 본곡부분으로 나누어지는데 도입부분의 리듬은 3분식 리듬에서 2분식 리듬으로 분할이 변화되는 헤미올라가 나타나는 것이 특징적이고 본곡부분은 12/8 박자의 중중모리 장단으로 ♩♪,♪♩를 기본리듬으로 다양한 변화 형태가 나타나고 복잡한 헤미올라로 인하여 두마디가 연결된 긴 리듬형들이 나타난다. 제3장은 여러 가지 박자로 이루어진 도입부분과 4/8 박자의 본곡부분으로 나누어지는데 도입부분은 쉼표와 Fermata의 사용으로 리듬을 단순하게 하여 비가 한방울씩 떨어지는 소리를 표현하고 본곡부분에서 리듬이 빠른 속도로 동일하게 반복되어 곡의 긴장감을 준다. 제4장은 여러 가지 박자로 이루어져 각 박자마다 리듬이 다양하게 나타나고 많은 싱코페이션 사용으로 느린 속도의 곡의 리듬에 활기를 주었다. 가을(1663년, 3장)의 제1장은 6/8 박자와 9/8 박자로 이루어져 있지만 전체 42마디 중 9/8 박자는 단 2마디에 나타나므로 9/8 박자가 6/8 박자에 부분 삽입되어 박이 확대되어서 리듬을 다양화 시켜준 것이라고 할 수 있다. 제2장은 여러 가지 박자로 이루어진 도입부분과 본곡부분으로 나누어지는데 도입부분은 4/8 박자에 ♪ 한 박이 축소된 박자인 3/8 박자가 삽입되어 단순한 리듬에 변화를 주며 본곡부분은 3/4 박자와 4/4 박자가 교대로 나타나며 정악의 양청도드리에서 볼 수 있는 리듬이 반복되다가 종지에서 스타카토와 쉼표 사용으로 리듬을 변화시킨 것이 특징이다. 제3장도 여러 가지 박자로 이루어져있고 ♩를 중심으로 리듬이 변화한다. 석류집(1965년, 4장)의 제1장은 여러 가지 박자로 이루어져 변박이 심한 가운데 다양한 리듬변화가 일어나는데, 특별히 강조되는 리듬은 없지만 슬기둥 리듬의 사용으로 정악적인 분위기를 느낄 수 있다. 제2장 역시 여러 가지 박자로 이루어져 있지만 리듬이 중심리듬이 되어 박자의 변화에 따라 박이 확대 또는 축소되어 변형되어 나타난다. 제3장은 제1, 2장과는 달리 4/4 박자 하나로 이루어져 있으며 중심리듬으로 리듬이 변형되어 나가며 앞의 다른 곡들에서 슬기둥 리듬이 빠르게 장식적으로 처리된 것과 달리 제3장에서는 느린 슬기둥 리듬이 나타나는 것이 특징이다. ; This paper has a purpose to analyze the rhythm of each piece in The Forest, The Fall and The Pomegranate House composed in the 1960’s among Byungki Hwang’s Kayakum solos. The results of analyzing the three pieces mentioned above by each movement are as follows. The first movement of The Forest(1963, 4 movements) is divided into introduction and main part. The main part shows slggidung rhythm of Jungak, and rhythm changes into ♩division and ♪ division. The main part is composed of several kinds of tome, and shows various kinds of rhythm according to each time. The second movement is also divided into introduction and main part. The rhythm of introduction part shows Hemiola that division is changed from 3 division to 2 division rhythm. The main part shows various change forms with 12/8 time Jungjungmori based on ♩♪, ♪♩ and long rhythm appears with two connected measures because of complicated Hemiola. The third movement is divided into introduction composed of various time and main part of 4/8 time. The introduction expresses the sound of rain drops simplifying rhythm by the use of a rest and Fermata, and the quick repetition of rhythm in the main part gives tension to the piece. The fourth movement shows various rhythms in each time, made up of various time, and gives vigor to the piece of slow speed by the use of a lot of Syncopations. The first movement of the The Fall(1963, 3 movements) is composed of 6/8 time and 9/8 time, but 9/8 time shows up only in two measures out of the whole 42 measures, and rhythm is diversified by expanded time with inserted 9/8 time into 6/8 time. The second movement is divided into introduction composed of various time and main part. The introduction part gives change to simple rhythm by inserting one time reduced 3/8 time into 4/8 time. The main part shows 3/4 time and 4/4 time in turn, and changes rhythm with repeating rhythm of Yangchung Dodri of Jungak, and Staccato and a rest in the end. The third movement is also made up of various time, and rhythm changes mainly with ♩ . The first movement of The Pomegranate House(1965, 4 movements) is composed of various time and show several rhythm changes with many time changes. There is no emphasized rhythm, but the use of Slggidung rhythm gives the mood of Jungak. The second movement is also made up of several time, but time is expanded or reduced according to the change of time with as main rhythm. The third movement is composed of 4/4 time unlike the first and second movement, and rhythm is transformed with as main rhythm. And unlike Slggidung rhythm is treated quickly as decoration in the other pieces, the third movement show slow Slggidung rhythm.
