동화의 원작과 패러디에 대한 유아의 반응

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 동화의 원작과 패러디에 대한 만 5세 유아들의 반응을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위한 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 동화의 원작과 패러디의 내용에 대한 유아들의 반응은 어떠한가? 2. 동화의 원작과 패러디 등장인물에 대한 유아들의 반응은 어떠한가? 3. 동화의 원작과 패러디의 등장인물의 행위에 대한 반응은 어떠한가? 본 연구는 천안시에 위치한 S 사립유치원의 만 5세아 학급에서 이루워졌다. 연구대상은 이 학급의 유아 32명이었으며 연구 기간은 1998년 9월 11일부터 1998년 9월 25일까지 2주간이었다. 연구에 사용된 동화는 「아기돼지 삼형제」와 패러디,「늑대가 들려주는 아기돼지 삼형제」였다. 동화에 대한 반응을 다양한 활동을 통해 알아보기 위해 문학적 접근을 활용하였다. 즉, 동화 듣고 이야기나누기, 인물단평, 편지쓰기, 동극하기, 패러디 개작하기, 그리고 토의전략을 사용하였다. 활동에서 얻어진 유아들의 그림과 글, 그리고 현장 기록지(field record)를 토대로 분석이 이루어졌다. 특히 토의 과정은 녹화하여 전사본을 만들어 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 동화의 원작과 패러디의 내용에 대한 유아들의 반응 유아들은 원작 동화 「아기돼지 삼형제」에 대해서는 이야기 전개에 초점을 두고 동화 내용을 인식하였으며, 반면 패러디「늑대가 들려주는 아기돼지 삼형제」에서는 등장인물인 늑대를 중심으로 한 상황이나 사건에 초점을 두고 동화내용을 인식하였다. 2. 동화의 원작과 패러디의 등장인물에 대한 유아들의 반응 유아들은 원작과 패러디의 등장 인물 중 특히 늑대에 관심을 보였다. 유아들은 원작에 등장하는 늑대에 대해서는 부정적인 평가를 하였으며, 패러디에 등장하는 늑대에 대해서는 긍정적인 평가를 내려 원작의 늑대에 대한 반응과는 대조적인 반응을 보였다. 이러한 인식은 이야기의 결과에만 근거한 반응이 아니라 인물들의 관계와 성격, 등장인물의 감정과 의도를 고려한 것에 기초한 것이었다. 3. 동화의 원작과 패러디의 등장인물의 행위에 대한 유아들의 반응 유아들은 늑대의 행위를 판단함에 있어 의도를 고려하는 것으로 나타났다. 유아들은 늑대의 의도를 고려하면서도 늑대가 돼지를 먹은 결과에 대해서도 여러 가지 시각을 나타냈다. 유아들은 늑대가 돼지를 해칠 의도가 아니었더라면 좀더 조심하거나 사전에 그런 상황이 생기지 않도록 해야한다거나 그 상황이 일어나더라도 피할 수 있는 대안을 제시했다. ; The purpose of this study was to investigate the responses of 5-year old children when they were exposed to the parody which includes conflicting plot with the orignal fairy tale. Research questions were as follows : 1. What are the responses of young children to plot of the original and the parody? 2. What are the responses of young children to the characters in the original and in the parody? 3. What are the responses of young children to the behaviors of characters in the original and the parody? The 5-year-old class at the private kindergarten in Chonnan was selected as the subject for this study. The subjects were 32 children. Data collection was made for 2 weeks. The two storybooks were used for this study : one was the original fairy tale The three little pigs and the other is it s parody The true story of the 3 little pigs! . Data were collected and analyzed by implementing literature-based curriculum activities such as appraisal, writing letters, dramatizing and remaking a story, inventing a new parody and by group discussion after reading two stories to children. To analyze the group discussion, the state of the class in group discussion was video-taped and transcribed. The results of this research were as follows : 1. The responses of young children to the plot of the original and the parody Children responded to the original focusing to the development of the whole story. But to the parody children showed more interest in the events and situations centering around the antagonist, the wolf. 2. The responses of young children to the characters in the original and in the parody Young children were more interested in the wolves of two stories. And through various activities, children represented their different viewpoints on the antagonists of the two stories(the wolves). Children showed negative points of view of the wolf in the original. On the contrary children showed positive points of view of the wolf in the parody and this response was based on the consideration of the situations and intentions of the behaviors of wolf. 3. The responses of young children to the behaviors of characters in the original and in the parody In the judgements of behavior of the wolf in the parody, young children considered the intent of the wolf. But the intent of the wolf was not enough to justify it s deed. Although children considered the cause of the act of the wolf in the parody, they thought that it was wrong for wolf to eat pigs. Children insisted that wolf should be more careful not to happen the accident if the wolf had no intention of doing harm to little pigs and gave alternatives to the wolf s acts.
