생태학적 접근에 의한 환경디자인 사례 연구

Abstract

현대 사회는 모든 사고가 인간과 인간의 관계에 초점이 맞추어져 있으며, 인간에 의한 인간의 착취를 넘어서 인간에 의한 자연의 착취가 문제가 되고있는 상황에 직면해 있다. 이는 오늘날 인간 중심주의의 틀에 갇혀있는 전통적 사회과학의 패러다임을 넘어서 새로운 패러다임으로 전환할 것을 절실히 요구받고있는 것이다. 이와 같은 상황의 전개로 인해 현대의 환경문제를 근본적으로 인식하게 되고 이러한 환경의 개선방법으로 대두된 전일적이고 생태적인 세계관은 지구의 환경생태계가 새로운 균형으로 전환하는 데에 필요한 사고이다. 또한, 모든 인간행위로 인해 변형된 현재의 환경을 바로잡기 위해서는 모든 것을 전체론적인 입장에서 시스템적으로보고 끊임없이 변화하는 역동적인 것으로 보는 생태적 관점을 지니는 것이 중요하다. 이로인해, 사회 전반에서 환경문제가 총체적으로 제기되면서 이를 근본적으로 해결할 수 있는 환경보전과 지속가능한 개발을 목표로 하는 새로운 경향이 대두되고 있고, 디자인 분야에서도 이러한 목표는 중요한 부분으로 자리잡아가고 있다. 따라서, 환경디자인은 인간과 자연을 포함하는 지구 환경의 일부로서 이들간의 상호 관계성을 통해 이해되어야 하며, 지구환경과 공생할 수 있고 지구 자정능력의 한계 내에서 가능한 인공 환경을 구성하는 것을 목적으로 수행되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구의 진행은 특히 도시의 외부환경디자인에 중점을 두어 전일적·생태학적 세계관에 입각한 새로운 환경사상으로 ‘지속가능성’을 확보하기 위한 방안인 ‘생태학적 환경디자인’의 개념을 살펴보았고, 이러한 개념에서 도출된 디자인 원리를 통해 이에 적합한 적용방안과 사례를 제시하고자 하였다. 최종적으로는 환경의 질과 미적 가치에 부합하는 생태공원의 사례를 제시하는데 그 의의가 있으며, 크게 다음과 같은 방법으로 진행되었다. 1. 환경디자인의 생태학적 접근을 위해 생태학의 이론을 고찰함으로써 생태계의 의미를 이해하고 생태학적 환경디자인의 개념은 기계적 디자인과 어떻게 다르고 어떤 점을 분석해야할 지 고찰하여 환경디자인의 적용 가능성을 모색한다. 2. 이론을 통해 생태학적 환경디자인의 디자인 원리는 어떻게 유추되며 실제 그 개념이 공간에서 어떻게 적용되는지 사례와 더불어 제시하였다. 3. 살펴보았던 내용을 토대로 생태학적인 디자인의 이론적 개념틀을 설정하고, 이러한 개념틀에 부합하는 사례들을 선정·분석하여 생태공원 디자인에 있어서의 적용방안을 모색하였다. 4. 위에서 제시한 요소 및 도입방법을 토대로 대상지 현황분석을 통해 생태공원 계획에 적용할 수 있는 항목들을 추출하여 디자인 프로그래밍과 공간에의 적용을 통해 지속가능한 생태공원으로서의 새로운 모형을 제시하였다. 5. 전 과정에서 도출된 연구 결과와 제시된 생태공원 모델에 대한 생태학적 환경디자인 원리를 근거로 한 종합·평가를 통해 본 연구의 타당성과 의의를 강조한다. 6. 위의 모든 과정을 통해 환경디자인에 생태학의 적용은 가능하며 기존의 기계적 디자인 보다 더욱 에너지 자원의 절약을 할 수 있어 경제적이고 자연과의 유기적 디자인으로 쾌적성, 다양성이 뛰어난 공간이 창출됨을 알 수 있다. 생태학적 디자인은 그린 디자인, 환경친화적인 디자인 등의 용어와 같은 맥락을 가지면서 자연과 함께 하는, 자연친화적·인간친화적인 디자인으로서 “자연과의 평형을 중시함으로써 자연의 순환원리를 디자인에 적용하고 자연의 물성을 이용하여 인간에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공하는 자연에 합일하는 환경친화적 디자인”이라 정의 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 연구결과 생태학적 디자인은 가장 적합한 새로운 미적 가치로서 현재와 미래의 인류와 생물을 편안한 삶으로 지속시키는 것임을 재인식 할 수 있었고, 본 연구를 통해 인간과 자연을 하나로 보는 총체론적 인식과 주변의 환경의 모든 생명체의 소중함을 느끼는데서 생태학적 디자인은 출발한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 본 연구는 생태 위기, 인식의 위기의 미래의 삶속에서 참된 가치를 지닌 디자인에 대한 해답을 제시하는데 그 의의를 둔다. ; An international mode based upon the mechanism world view of modern science paradigm has overwhelmed serious worries in the international modes of the early modernists, been in the saddle as a mode, and caused critical environmental problems to human beings and the nature in consequence of design works which depended on the consumption of unrecyclable resources such as fossil fuels and simply concentrated on the functional rationality of scientific technology, with the uncontextual propensity which does not consider urban contexts and natural environments. The whole-minded and ecological world view, which gathered strength as a way for the improvement of the above-mentioned environment with today environment problems radically recognized, is a thought needed for the turnover to a new balance before the ecosystem of the earth loses its balance any more. In order to correct our environment changed by all doings of human beings, I think that important is the ecological attitude to consider all things as a whole systematic and changing tirelessly. Therefore the environmental design should be comprehended as a part of the environment of the earth including man and nature through the mutual relationship between them, and be carried out for the purpose of composing the artificial environment to be with the earth environment in the end and possible within the limit of the natural purification. This study has been initiated from the standpoint of cognizance transformation that it is necessary to amend the right sense of sight on the environment design and in this study I am going to look into the concept of ecological environment design as a plan where the coming 21st century should be defined to be prior to all of things and secured the durability as a new concept on environment based on the whole-minded and ecological world view. Through the design principle which derived from the concept, appropriate applications and examples can be presented. At last there is a meaning in proposing cases of ecological park which are fit to the quality and the value of beauty of environment and this study has been proceeded in the ways as followings; First, For the ecological approach of environment design, the meaning of ecosystem is comprehended through the study of ecological theory and the possibility of environment design application is found through the concept of ecological environment plan. Second, it is presented with examples how the concept is actually applied to space and how the ecological environment design is induced through the theory. Third, based on the above-mentioned, set the theological concept of ecological design and find out the plans for application in the ecological design by selecting and analyzing the cases of the examples and inducing plan elements of ecological park. Fourth, on the basis of elements and the way of launching suggested above draw items and suggest a new model as the ecological park of sustailnability by applying to the space and programming of design. Fifth, through the study result induced in all steps and the total evaluation on the model of ecological park of ecological environment design suggested, place an emphasis on the propriety and meaning of this study. Sixth, through the above process it is found that the application to envoronment design is possible and the space which is better for its economical efficiency, variety and comfort than mechanical design is created. In this study the concept of environment harmony is the integrated concept of preservation and creation, and it means to design plans and designs of city, complex, landscape architecture, building, interior, product, and graphic consistent and durable. The ecological design shares its meaning with green design and design of environment harmony, and has its basis in the empirical philosophy. It can be defined as the design to provide human beings with clean environment and go back to and become one with the nature with the nature principle of circulation applied and its quality used by thinking highly of the balance with the nature rather than giving a new order to it. It is comfirmed that ecological design is the most applicable to the human and creature in today and tomorrow. Besides, it is found that ecological design is derived by global cognition of unity between human and nature and the value of creature. In this study, It is meaningful to show what is a really valuable design in the future human life against crisis of ecology and cognition.
