장소성 형성을 위한 공간디자인 방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

지난시대의 건축이론은 기계적인 기능성만을 강조하여 인간 환경의 획일화를 초래 하였다. 하나의 표준화된 형태가 모든 형식의 건축에 적용됨으로써, 건축은 인간을 위한 공간이 되지 못하고 오히려, 인간이 환경에 지배 받는 모순을 낳게 되었다. 이러한 결과로 ‘장소성의 상실’이 지적되고 있으면 이는 곧 개체성 상실의 원인으로 인간은 환경과 융합하지 못하고 환경으로의 소속감의 상실을 초래하게 되었다. 1960년대에 이르러 이 획일성의 거부는 다원론적인 성향으로 발전하였지만 다양한 요소를 포함하고 있는 다원론적 건축은 피상적으로 해석될 경우 환경의 혼돈이라는 위험을 지니게 된다. 이러한 위험은 공간에 대한 근원적인 접근으로 공간의 장소성을 재해석하고 인간 중심으로 이루어질 때 가능하다. 공간은 인간이 그외 생활에서 체험되는 장손의 혼(genius loci)과 조화되고 의미깊게 경험되는 환경과 친숙해져서 그의 개체성을 찾을 수 있는 장소가 되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 인간의 본질적인 요구와 가치 기준에 중점을 두는, 인간 중심적인 접근 방식인 C. N. Schulz의 실존적 공간 개념과 장소를 형성하기 위한 구성 요소를 인간의 활동과 의미, 물리적 장치가 시?공간적 맥락을 통해 상호작용하는 것으로 보는 E.Relph의 현상학적 측면의 정의를 바탕으로 진행되었다. 인간과 환경 사이의 단절을 극복하기 위해 환경과 인간 본질의 근본적인 문제의 인식으로서 장소성 구현 방법을 고찰해 봄으로서 의미있는 환경의 창출에 목적을 두고 다음과 같이 연구하였다. 1. 새로운 관점으로서 인간과 환경의 상호관련성을 이해하고, 모더니즘 세계관이 지닌 공간개념의 문제점을 인식하며, 근원적인 공간 문제를 인간과 환경의 관계로서의 공간개념인 ‘실존적 공간’개념을 통해 고찰 하였다. 2. 추상적인 공간이 실존적이고 구체적인 장소로 변화되는 과정과 그러한 장소의 의미와 구조를 이론적 고찰을 통해 이해하였다. 3. E.Relph가 제시한 장소의 구성요소를 바탕으로, 장소성을 구현하기 위한 구체적인 요소들을 물리적 측면?인간 행태의 측면?의미적 측면의 세가지 측면에서 접근하고 또한 물리적 측면은 실존적 공간개념에 의해 구조화하고, 그 사례를 제시하여 디자인 문제 해결의 근거로 삼았다. 4. 도시내 문화공간에 대해 문헌을 총해 이론적 고찰을 하였다. 5. 앞에서 논의된 장소성 구현의 구체적 요소를 바탕으로 개념언어와 형태언어를 도출하였다. 6. 도출된 개념언어와 형태언어 그리고, 대상지의 역사적 배경을 바탕으로한 문화적 상징화로써 장소성을 구축한 디자인 모형사례를 제시하였다. 건축적 환경은 문화와 주변환경에 대한 대응이면서 동시에 부분이어야 하며, 지역?장소들의 물리적 상징을 제공하며 대지와 자연과 연결되어야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 장소성의 구현이 요구되며 그것이 실현될 때 비로서 인간은 정위화와 개체화가 가능하다. 따라서, 위 연구는 인간 환경의 정체성 확보를 위해 역사적?문화적 가치를 부여함으로써 의미있는 장소로 체험될 수 있는 하나의 방향을 제시하였다는데 의의를 둔다. ; The architecture theories of the past have caused the standardization of human environment, for they have emphasized the mechanical function. A human being has fallen under the control of an environment instead of making it place for him because of applying the standardized from to all styles of architecture. This brings ‘Loss of Placeness’ which causes loss of peculiarity and take belongingness to an environment away from a human being. The rejection to this standardization has brought the pluralistic tendency of architecture. But if it were analyzed superficially, it would have confusion of an environment. This confusion can be removed by analyzing plaseness of space fundamentally. One of the latest theoretical tendency of social and cultural study is the return to human nature. Therefore this study is focused on the concept of existential space by C. N. Schulz which is the standard of essential request and value of human. ‘TheExistential Space’ emphasized by C. N. Schulz is completed when a human being is harmonized with ‘Genious Loci’ experienced in his life and become familiar with the meaningfully experienced environment that he can fine himself in it. To get over the gap between a maan and his environment., recognizing the substantial problem in human nature related to the substantial problem iin human naturerelated to the environment. 1. Understanding the correlation between a menn and an environment. As a background of subject-value, recognizing the problems of the ‘Space’ concept of modernism world view. I investigated the basic problems of ‘Space’ through the concept of ‘Existential Space’ as a relation of man and environment. 2. I understood by theoretical investigation the meaning and structure of the abstract space converting to existential and concrete one concrete one and those processes. 3. I considered physical aspect, human behavior aspect and meaning aspect as the concrete elements to embody placeness and presented the examples of them. And I solved design problems basing on them. 4. I investigated theoretically through the booksabout the cultural spaces in the city. 5. I take a concept language and a from languagefrom the concrete elements to embody placeness re refered above. 6. I presented the examples of pattern designed with placeness by symbolizing a concept language, a from language and the background of the object place. Architectural environment should be a corresponclent to culture and surroundings as a part of them. It also be related to the earth and nature offering a physical symbol of the place. So the realizing placeness is necessary and only after that a man can be in a proper place and individualized. This study can by valued for indicating one way the place can be a meaningful one by given historical and cultural value for getting human environment itself
