인체를 응용한 도자조형 연구

Abstract

예술은 인간의 내면세계를 거친 또 하나의 창조된 세계라 할 수 있다. 예술은 하나의 인간활동이며, 어떤 객관적 취향에 대해 자기가 체험한 감정을 의식적으로 표현하는 데에서 이루어진다. 인간은 인체의 아름다움을, 흥미있는 대상물로 인식하고, 인간의 체험을 환기시켜주는 예술의 한 형식으로 표현해왔다. 인체에 있어서 조화, 균형, 비례의 다양성과 그 동적인 조형의 변화는 한마디로 무궁한 美의 세계다. 그래서 神의 창조인 인간의 오묘한 조형미를 고대로부터 지금까지 예술창조의 소재로 선택하여 왔고, 앞으로도 누구나 이 완전미 혹은 절대미의 추구를 위해 많은 예술가들이 집념할 것이 분명하다. 이러한 예술창조의 주제로 삼아온 인체는 시대사적으로 그리고 작가 개인적으로 다양하게 해석하고 표현되어 왔다. 본 연구의 목적은 자연물 중 인체를 보면서 느껴온 주관적 감성이미지를 새롭게 재구성하여 도자 조형물로 제작하는 것이다. 이러한 인체표현의 이론적 배경에서는 우선 조각가들이 자기가 속한 인간을 유일한 주제로 다루게 된 원인을 분석해 보았다. 본인의 작품에 사용된 인체는 소재로서 어떠한 이미지를 가지고 그 의미를 포함하는지 서술하였으며, 얼굴의 자유로운 표정과 인체의 다양한 표현의 구체적 방법 등을 살펴 보았다. 또한 인체를 소재로한 작품사례를 통하여 예술표현 대상으로서 얼굴의 표정과 인체의 특징을 작가의 주관에 의해 다양하게 조형화 되는 것을 연구하여 작품제작에 참고하였다. 작품 디자인과정에서는, 인체의 기본형에서 연구자가 부여한 내적인 아름다움의 재해석을 위하여 단순화, 변형, 추상적, 사실적 표현 등을 선택적으로 응용하는 과정을 거쳐, 주관적인 인체의 이미지를 표현하였다. 작품제작에 있어서 성형방법은 코일링, 판작업, 속파기 등의 기법을 병행하였고, 태토로는 점력이 좋고 수축률이 적은 석기질 점토를 이용하였다. <작품1.2.3>은 1.5㎥ 가스가마에서 최종온도 850℃로 8시간 1차 소성한 후, 산화철을 바르고 닦아낸 후 원시소성하였다. <작품4.5.6.7.8.9.10>의 유약처리는 흑유를 분무시유하고, 부분적인 채색을 위하여 닦아낸 후, 백화장토의 10%의 고온안료를 혼합한 색화장토를 분무시유하고, 전체적 명암효과와 풍부하고 안정된 분위기를 위하여 흑유로 분무시유하여 마무리하였다. 소성방법은 1.5㎥ 가스가마에서 최종온도 850℃로 8시간 1차소성한 후, 0.5㎥ 도염식 가스가마에서 1,200℃로 5시간 동안 산화소성하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 인체를 소재로 한 조형예술의 궁극적인 목적은 인간의 형상을 통하여 인간의 존엄성을 보여주는 것이며, 예술에서의 인체는 완전미 혹은 절대미로서 많은 예술가들이 조형작품으로 표현한다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 얼굴의 표현의 자유로움과 인체의 표현의 다양성을 통해 조형적인 소재로서의 무한한 가능성을 인식하였다. 인체가 주는 끝없는 영감과 지속적인 창작활동으로 더욱 발전적이고 창의성 있는 연구가 활발히 이루어지는 계기를 마련하였으면 한다. 이와 더불어 본 연구가 앞으로의 얼굴표정과 인체의 특징을 조형화하는 후속연구에 도움이 되리라 기대한다. ; Art can be defined as another world created through human internal world. Art, as a human activity, is made with the expression of feeling experienced on the objective tastes. The beauty of human figure recognized as interesting object has been expressed as an artistic form reminding human experience. In the human body, the variety of its proportions and its active work forms, is the infinite world of beauty. Its profound modeling beauty that God create has selected as materials of artistic creation since ancient period as well as ever forever, by plenty of artists in search of perfectness and absoluteness of its beauty. Human figure applied to the artistic subjects, has interpreted and shown differently according to the specific period and artist as a person. The purpose of this study is to produce in the way of recomposing subjective feeling image on the human body, a natural creature. In the theoretical background of the process studying human body expression first with researching the changing procedure of the forms shown in the sculpture history, how the human image as material is expressed in my works and the detail methods of its expression would be explained. This study would be focused on the variety of face appearance and body forms, with many other artists works. In the design procedure, subjective human figure s image through selective application of simplification, deformation, abstractness, realistic expression shows internal beauty imposed by the researcher. Forming methods are the compression, plating, and inner-digging, using stone implemented clay with good viscosity and low shrinkness. In the enamel treatment, <Work No. 1,2,3> was painted with oxidized iron, polished it, and partly painted backmat. <Work No. 4,5,6,7,8,9,10> was sprayed with black enamel, polished for part coloring, with color make-up clay of 10 percent pigment added white make-up clay, and finally black enamel for the light-shade contrast and stable feeling. On the first baking, the method was 8 hour- 850℃ final temperature in the gas baker. Next baking was done with 5 hour-1,200℃ in the gas baker. The ultimate end of whole forming art of the human figure is to show human dignity through human forms. The human figures in art will be expressed by many artists, in terms of perfectness and absoluteness. This study will show the process of expressing human figures from the past to the present, and also explain why a lot of sculptors select human body as a material.
