프로그램의 통제 유형에 따른 컴퓨터 이용 학습이 아동의 사고력에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 통제 유형이 다른 프로그램을 사용한 컴퓨터 이용 학습이 아동의 사고력에 미치는 효과를 밝히는 것이다. 이와 같은 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 컴퓨터 이용에 있어서 학습자 통제 유형의 프로그램으로 학습한 아동들은 프로그램 통제 유형의 프로그램으로 학습한 아동들과 사려성, 확산적 사고력, 메타인지 능력, 방향 개념에 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 실험 대상은 안양시내에 있는 S대학 부속 유치원의 5세 아동 62명이었다. 실험처치 기간을 22일 동안 자유선택 활동시간에 한 아동당 20분간씩 컴퓨터를 이용한 학습을 하였다. 실험 절차는 사고력을 측정하기 위한 사전 검사, 컴퓨터 이용 학습을 하기 위한 사전 학습활동, 실험 처치로서의 컴퓨터를 이용한 학습, 사고력을 측정하기 위한 사후 검사의 순서로 이루어졌다. 연구 도구는 Logo를 아동발달에 맞게 수정한 “꾀돌이의 여행” 프로그램이었다. 이 프로그램을 통제 유형에 따라 학습자 통제 유형과 프로그램 통제 유형으로 나누었다. 검사 도구는 같은 그림 찾기 검사, Torrance의 창의성 검사, 메타인지 모니터링 면담과, 방향 개념 검사 등 이었다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/PC+에 의해 공변량 분석, 평균 및 표준편차, 교정된 평균값을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 컴퓨터 이용에 있어서 학습자 통제 유형의 프로그램으로 학습한 아동들은 프로그램 통제 유형의 프로그램으로 학습한 아동들보다 사려성, 확산적 사고력, 메타인지 능력이 더 높게 나타났다. 그러나 방향 개념에 있어서는 학습자 통제 유형집단과 프로그램 통제 유형 집단간에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다 ; The Purpose of this study is to find the effect of learning by control type of computer program on children’s thinking ability. To this end, four research questions have been set up in this study. Between the children learned by learner control type of computer program and the children learned by program control type of computer program: 1. Is there any difference in reflectivity? 2. Is there any difference in divergent thinking ability? 3. Is there any difference in metacognitive ability? 4. Is there any difference in directionality? Sixty-two children of five years old at a S University annex kindergarten in Anyang City were randomly assigned for this study. These children received learning through computer for 20 minutes daily, Monday through Friday for 22 days. The experimental procedures were in the order of pre-test, pre-computer activity, learning through computer as treatment and post-test. They used the software named “Koedoli’s travel”. This program generates graphics using a Logo-like language format simplified to picture-menu. The control type of computer program compared in this study was learner and program control. For the data collection, various tests were used: Matching Familiar Figures Test, Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, Interview on Metacognitive Monitoring, and Map Test. The Mean, the Adjusted Mean and the Standard Deviation of the collected data were computed by SPSS/PC+ Computer Program and analyzed by ANCOVA. The findings of the study are as follows: In reflectivity, divergent thinking, metacognitive ability, children learned by learner control type of computer program were higher than children learned by program control type of computer program. But, in directionality, there were no significant differences between the children learned by learner control type of computer program and the children learned by program control type of computer program.
