한국 도시 중산층 부부의 에디푸스 컴플렉스

Abstract

There are many controversies on the presence of oedipus complex, that is psychoanalytic concept, influenced by the normal or abnormal, and different cultural background. This study is to elucidate the generalized psychoanalytic theory of oedipus complex which was demonstrated from psychoanalytic subjective experiences about pathologic situations. This research indicates the presence of oedipus complex in Korea through social field survey by means of questionnaire method with the subjects of the normal couples of middle class people in Seoul from June 1984 to August 1984, and the patient’s couples of the same class via department of Neuropsychiatry of general hospitals and private clinics in Seoul. The results are as follows: 1. There are no differences in oedipal trends between the normal and patient groups, but difference has been found in the male and female groups. The male group shows the oedipal trend, but the female group shows to be antioedipal trend, and such trends have developed predominantly in the only son or daughter group. 2. The unconscious oedipal motive has been reflected on the process of selection of marital partner, but one half of the subjects who had established such reflection denies the manifest oedipal motive. 3. The normal group shows the higher degree of marital satisfaction than that of the patient group. The groups with oedipal trend show the higher degree of it in comparison with other groups. 4. Among the couples who had indicated unconscious oedipal motives, the normal group shows the higher degree of marital satisfaction than that of the patient group. 5. There are many oppositions from one’s mother against the selection 0f marital partner in both male and female groups. 6. The female group shows the higher degree of sexual maladjustment than that of the male group. The male group with oedipal trend experiences the lowest degree of it. 7. In the pattern of dissolution of sexual desire the male group tries to be satisfied with it through masturbatory or sexual acts, but the female group tries to sublimate or suppress it. 8. This study has examined four analytic cases that showed the pattern of oedipus complex. The manifest oedipal motive is so remarkably repressed or suppressed that the desire to killing the opposite sex parent has been given up by oneself and dedicated the self-castration to authoritarian figure, and pursued to take the reward from him. ; 정신분석학적 개념인 에디푸스 콤플렉스는 정상 비정상인에 따라 또는 문화권에 따라 그 존재여부에 대한 논란이 많다. 본 논문은 정신분석이라는 병리적인 상황에 대한 주관적 경험에서 주장되던 것을 일반화하고자 시도하였다. 1984년 6월부터 1984년 8월까지 서울시내에서 집락포집한 중산층부부군과 1984년 6월부터 1984년 12월까지 서울시내 각 신경정신과의 중산층 환자부부를 대상으로 설문지법을 통하여 에디푸스 콤플렉스를 규명하고자 하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 취학전 부모선호경향은 정상과 환자의 차이는 없었고 남자는 에디푸스적 경향을, 여자는 상반되는 경향을 보였고 특히 이런 경향은 외아들 외딸에게서 두드러지게 나타났다. 2. 배우자 선택에 있어 무의식적인 에디푸스 콤플렉스가 작용하여 성취되는 경향이지만 그 중 반 정도는 이를 부인하였다. 3. 결혼생활은 남자가 여자보다, 정상군이 환자군보다 더 만족하며 두군의 만족도 차이는 특히 에디푸스적 경향을 가진 경우에서 더욱 뚜렷하였다. 4. 에디푸스 콤플렉스가 성취된 부부에서 정상군은 결혼만족도가 높고 환자군은 낮다. 5. 결혼에 대한 부모의 반대는 남녀 모두 그들의 어머니가 가장 많이 하였다. 6. 성생활적응에서 여자가 남자보다 많은 곤란을 경험하였고 에디푸스적 경향을 지닌 남자가 가장 곤란이 적었다. 7. 성욕해소과정에서 남자는 직접 성적인 만족을, 여자는 억제 내지는 승화시켰다. 8. 사례분석에서 볼 때 한국의 에디푸스 콤플렉스는 억압되거나 직접적인 살부혼모의욕을 스스로 포기하고 권위자에게 진상하여 보상을 바라는 형태로 나타났다.
