자연물의 확대표현

Abstract

본인은 자연에서 받은 경이롭고 신비로운 아름다움과 더불어 생명현상의 근원을 관찰하며 특정 자연대상(사물)을 빌어 그 생명체의 숨결을 가시화하고자한다. 자연이란 대상, 사물 그 자체를 보이는 대로 재현하기보다 재구성하고 주관적으로 해석하여 개성 있게 표현하고 싶었다. 특히 자연물중 식물의 형태는 시각적 관점에 다라 다양한 조형적 요소를 함축하고 있으며 그 속에는 자연의 질서와 운동, 그리고 생명의 생동감까지 내포하고 있다. 다라서 ‘식물’이라는 소재를 바탕으로 자연을 시각적으로 접근하여 그 구성을 이루는 조형요소를 파악하고 추출하여 조형적으로 재구성 하고자 한다. 자연물을 근거리에서 확대하면서 볼 수 있었던 여러 형상과 조직, 질감을 마른 붓끝에 묻힌 먹으로 촘촘히 찍어가면서 섬세하게 표현하면서 자연물 그자체가 갖고 있는 완벽한 조형성을 그대로 묘사하거나 생략하여 추상적이면서도 신비스러운 자연의 미를 표출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 내용적인 연구로는 자연을 조형예술의 대상으로 본 다양한 관점을 통해 자연에 대한 조형적 표현이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 살펴보고, 본인의 작품제작에 있어서 기본이 되는 회화에 있어서의 평면적 표현의 조형적 특성과 변형과 생략의 과정, 그리고 확대와 단순화된 작품들의 특징을 연구하였다. 방법적인 면에서는 본 연구에서 다루고 있는 표현대상인 자연물 중에서 식물의 형태를 보는 시각(관점)에 따라 전체의 형(形)과 부분의 형(形)을 관찰하여 농묵을 붓끝으로 찍어가며 섬세하게 그려나갔다. 이렇게 나타난 형상은 단위요소(점, 선)의 반복으로 생명현상의 생성과 소멸을 표현하고자 하였으며, 지속적인 모노톤의 점, 선을 통해 더욱 단순화된 평면적인 화면을 구성하고자 하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 자연 속에 내포된 조형적인 구조를 찾아내어 독창적이고 개성 있는 새로운 조형성을 모색하고자 한다. 본인은 회화의 순수성(그리기)을 인정하며, 회화는 색채와 형태의 단순한 배열을 넘어서는 의미를 지녀야하며, 눈으로 보이지 않는 세계를 포함한 생명력 있는 작품을 만들고자하는 노력이라고 생각한다. 작품 제작과정과 연구를 통해 본인의 인식이 심화 되었고, 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 앞으로 보다 깊이 있는 회화세계를 추구하고자 한다.;Creating behavior of human beings can be distinguished in two characteristics: focusing on regenerating the object and artistic desire searching for the inner spirit. When we try to express something, our imagination stimulates the knowledge inside to create certain image and the artist becomes to have desire to express in his or her own image. This image contains new and different order of the real object itself and comes to be recomposed with the new order by the artist's own way of expression. Among those diverse attitudes in experiencing and the way of expression in this modern age of art, my work means to be composed with the combinations of different elements came out of all the diversity. Here, I am intending to count the origins of life in additions to astonishing and mysterious beauty of the nature, and transform into visual of inner breath of them from with the basis of natural objects. I sometimes am expressing structure and texture of the real objects by enlarging them with the elements of dots from brush with sensitivity, perfect natural beauty of the natural form from the details of object itself or certain abstract form, or the primitive yet mysterious beauty of nature. My work is expressing the phenomenon of life in dry texture in contrast with paper, brush, ink of traditional mediums, and all forms the components of each dots- are being gathered and spread repeatedly. This research studies, in terms of content or my own work, the problem and simplicity of the flat surface in painting and the possibilities of dots, line and area with the minimum brush work for the newer way of forming in terms of methodology. I accept the purity of painting itself, painting has to possess the meaning beyond the arrangement of colors and forms and the effort of the producing living work including the invisible world. Through the process of doing my work, my thought and understanding have become deepened and I am prospecting to pursue the more deeper and meaningful world of painting.
