한국어방언에 있어서의 모음 음소배합 유형에 관한 연구 : 남부 한국해안, 도서지역어를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 남부 한국의 해안x도시 지역의 방언에 나타나는 음소 배합구조 중, 모음 음소의 배합 구조를 검

토, 이의 유형을 발견하고, 그 규칙을 규명하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위하여, 본 연구에서는 전라 남x북도, 경상 남x북도 및 제주도에 걸쳐 43개 지역을 선정, 이 지역에서 수집

한 방언 어휘를 분석하였다. 한국어 전반을 통하여 볼 때, 모음 음소의 배합상은 다음과 같이 나타난다. (1) 고설계 모음 음소 배합상 _1/ixu/ _1/ixu/ _2/ixu/x_2/ixu/ 1, 2, 3 3^i^,^u 3^i^,^u (2) 중설계 모음 음소 배합상 _1/exo/ _1/xxo/ _2/exo/x_2/xxo/ 1,2,3 3^e^,^o 3^x^,^o (3) 저설계 모음 음소 배합상 _1/ixu/ _1/ixu/ _2/exo/ x _2/xxo/ 1,2,3 3^a 3^a 그러나, 본 연구를 위하여 선정한 43개 지역의 방언을 통하여 볼 때, 위와 같은 규칙적인 배합 규칙과 상이한, 다

음과 같은 다양한 배합상이 나타난다. _1/ixi/~_1/uxu/ _1/ixi/ ~_1/u-(y)u/ _2/(y)e-(y)x/~_2/o-(y)o/x_2/e-(y/w)x/~_2/o-(y)o/ 1, 2, 3 _3/ (w)a/~_3/(y/w)a/ _3/a/~ _3/(y/w)a/ 이러한 모음 음소의 배합상은 (1) {{[+front]}x{[+front]}}....4가지 (2) {{[+front]}x{[+back]}}....7가지 (3) {{[+back]}x{[+front]}}....6가지 (4) {{[+back]}x{[+back]}}....9가지 와 같은 관계 아래에서 유지되며, 방언 지도상의 분포에서 등질적인 특질을 지닌 5개의 지구를 구획해 낼 수 있다. ; This study describes phonotactic structures in the Korean dialects, particularly to the phonotactic

patterns of vowel phonemes in the southern coastal and island dialects. To proceed this study, forty-three areas were selected in Jeolla, Gyeongsang and Jeju Provinces, and

dialectal corpus were collected in those areas. In general, phonotactic patterns of vowel phonemes in the Korean language are as follows: (1) Phonotactic patterns in the high-series vowel phonemes: _1/ixu/ _1/ixu/ _2/ixu/x_2/ixu/ 1, 2, 3 3^i^,^u 3^i^,^u (2) Phonotactic patterns in the mid-series vowel phonemes: _1/exo/ _1/xxo/ _2/exo/x_2/xxo/ 1,2,3 3^e^,^o 3^x^,^o (3) Phonotactic patterns in the low-series vowel phonemes: _1/ixu/ _1/ixu/ _2/exo/ x _2/xxo/ 1,2,3 3^a 3^a However, when we analyze dialectal corpus those collected in the above areas, peculiar phonotactic

patterns of vowel phonemes are found as shown belows: _1/ixi/~_1/uxu/ _1/ixi/ ~_1/u-(y)u/ _2/(y)e-(y)x/~_2/o-(y)o/x_2/e-(y/w)x/~_2/o-(y)o/ 1, 2, 3 _3/ (w)a/~_3/(y/w)a/ _3/a/~ _3/(y/w)a/ The above phonotactic patterns are maintained as following relationships: (1) {[+front]}x{[+front]}...four types (2) {[+front]}x{[+back]}...seven types (3) {[+back]}x{[+front]}...six types (4) {[+back]}x{[+back]}...nine types And also, if we draw up these relationships on the linguistic atlas, we can marks off five large dialectal

zones.
