중국의 웨딩 한류 확산을 위한 웨딩촬영용 의상 디자인 개발

Abstract

신한류로 재현되고 있는 한류 열풍은 다양한 문화 콘텐츠를 바탕으로 세계 각국으로 확산되고 있으며, 관련 산업의 발전과 국가 이미지 제고에 기여하고 있다. 한류의 근원지였던 중국에서는 인터넷 사용 환경의 급격한 발달로 TV를 통해서만 접할 수 있었던 한류 콘텐츠를 각종 인터넷 사이트를 통해 실시간으로 접할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 따라 중국인들의 일상생활에까지 한류가 빠르게 확산되고 있으며 한류 스타일을 따라 하는 것이 유행처럼 번지고 있다. 한류 현상은 한국 대중문화의 소비를 넘어서 관련 산업의 발전과 한국 기업의 해외 진출에 긍정적인 요소로 작용하고 있으며, 나아가 중국 소비자들의 한국 제품 선호 현상으로 이어지고 있다. 또한, 한류는 향후 지속적인 발전이 예상되고 있는 중국의 웨딩 산업에도 영향력을 미치고 있는데 특히 웨딩촬영 분야에서 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 중국의 각종 웨딩 포털 사이트에서는 한류 스타의 웨딩사진, 한국의 스튜디오, 한국식 웨딩촬영 요소 등에 대한 정보를 제공하고 있으며, 중국 웨딩촬영의 트렌드로 ‘한국식 웨딩촬영’을 제안하고 있다. 자연을 배경으로 하는 중국식 웨딩촬영과 달리 실내 스튜디오에서 독특한 콘셉트를 가지고 아름다운 의상과 소품을 활용하여 다양하게 연출하는 한국식 웨딩촬영은 중국 신혼부부들에게 참신하고 트렌디한 방식으로 여겨지면서 큰 인기를 끌고 있다. 이에 따라 중국 현지에 한국식 웨딩촬영을 표방하는 스튜디오가 증가하고 있으며, 한국으로 웨딩촬영 여행을 오는 중국의 신혼부부 수도 해마다 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 따라서 한국식 웨딩촬영을 원하는 중국의 신부들을 위한 웨딩촬영용 의상의 공급이 필요하며, 본 연구에서는 중국인 신부의 니즈를 충족시킬 수 있는 웨딩촬영용 의상 디자인을 개발하여 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 중국의 전반적인 한류 현황 및 웨딩 산업 분야에 나타난 한류 현황에 대하여 살펴보았고, 한류 현상이 두드러지게 나타나고 있는 중국의 웨딩촬영과 웨딩촬영 시 착용한 의상에 관하여 고찰하였다. 이를 바탕으로 중국인 신부의 웨딩촬영 의상을 분석하여 이들이 선호하는 디자인 특징을 도출하였으며, 한류 콘텐츠와 2012 S/S 패션트렌드를 함께 반영하여 웨딩드레스, 이브닝드레스, 일상복으로 구성된 웨딩촬영용 의상 디자인 5착장을 개발하였다. 그 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 중국 내 인터넷 사용 환경의 발달로 한국에서 전파하는 한류 콘텐츠를 실시간으로 접할 수 있게 되면서 한류의 영향력이 점차 커지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 신한류로 거듭난 한류는 한국 대중문화의 소비를 비롯하여 한국 문화에 대한 관심과 한국 제품의 선호 현상으로 이어지고 있으며, 나아가 한국 기업의 해외 시장 진출과 한국의 국가 이미지 제고에 긍정적인 분위기를 형성하고 있었다. 둘째, 중국의 웨딩 산업에도 웨딩촬영 분야을 중심으로 한류 현상이 나타나고 있었다. 한국의 웨딩촬영 의상을 착용하고 한국 웨딩 스튜디오의 다양한 콘셉트 아래 촬영하는 한국식 웨딩촬영이 중국의 신혼부부들 사이에서 유행하고 있으며, 한국식 웨딩촬영을 위한 의상의 공급이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중국의 신부를 대상으로 하는 웨딩촬영용 의상 디자인 개발에 앞서 중국 신부 120명의 웨딩사진 525장을 수집하여 그들이 선호하는 웨딩촬영 의상의 특징을 알아보았다. 그 결과 중국 신부의 웨딩촬영 의상으로는 웨딩드레스, 이브닝드레스, 일상복의 순으로 많이 나타났으며, 전통복과 인민복, 수영복 등의 착용도 일부 나타났다. 웨딩드레스는 볼 가운 실루엣, 화이트 컬러, 레이시한 외관의 소재, 스트랩리스 네크라인, 개더 디테일, 레이스 트리밍이 선호 디자인 요소로 나타났다. 이브닝드레스의 디자인 요소로는 볼 가운 실루엣, 레드 컬러를 중심으로 하는 유채색과 컬러 믹스, 슬릭한 외관의 소재, 스트랩리스 네크라인, 개더 디테일, 벨트 트리밍이 가장 선호되었다. 중국인 신부의 웨딩촬영용 일상복 스타일을 알아보기 위하여 패션이미지를 기준으로 분류한 결과, 로맨틱 스타일이 가장 많이 나타났다. 로맨틱 스타일의 특징으로는 튤 소재 스커트의 착용과 플라워 모티브 위주의 패턴 사용이었으며, 아이템으로는 스커트, 원피스, 티셔츠, 블라우스 순으로 선호되었다. 넷째, 위의 결과를 바탕으로 한국식 웨딩촬영을 위한 의상 디자인을 개발하였다. 로맨틱한 한국 신부의 이미지를 지향하는 ‘Romantic K-Bride’라는 컨셉 아래 웨딩촬영 의상에서 높은 비중을 차지한 웨딩드레스, 이브닝드레스, 로맨틱 스타일의 일상복을 기획하였다. 도출된 결과에 따르면 중국인 신부의 웨딩촬영 의상으로 웨딩드레스의 비중이 가장 높게 나타났으나, 본 연구의 목적 상 한국적 콘텐츠를 담기에 더 적합한 일상복의 비중을 높게 하였다. 웨딩드레스 디자인 개발 시 볼 가운 실루엣, 화이트 컬러, 튤과 레이스 소재, 스트랩리스 네크라인, 개더 디테일, 레이스 트리밍의 선호 디자인 요소를 모두 반영하였다. 이브닝드레스 디자인에는 볼 가운 실루엣, 오간자와 레이스 소재, 스트랩리스 네크라인, 개더 디테일, 레이스 트리밍을 적용하였으며, 컬러는 전체 웨딩촬영용 의상의 통일성을 위하여 메인 컬러인 화이트 컬러를 사용하였다. 일상복 디자인 개발 시 가장 선호되는 로맨틱 스타일의 스커트, 원피스, 티셔츠, 블라우스 아이템으로 구성하였으며, 한국인 신부가 착용하는 예복 스타일을 표현하기 위하여 트위드 소재 재킷 아이템을 추가하였다. 또한, 일상복 디자인은 트렌드의 영향을 크게 받으므로 2012 S/S 패션트렌드 중 로맨틱 이미지의 패션테마를 선정하여 디자인 및 컬러, 소재 기획에 반영하였다. 이상으로 살펴본 결과, 한국식 웨딩촬영이 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 현 시점에서 한류 콘텐츠는 중국의 소비자들에게 강하게 어필할 수 있는 참신하고 경쟁력 있는 아이템으로 사료되었다. 따라서 중국인 신부가 선호하는 디자인 특징과 한류 콘텐츠를 반영한 웨딩촬영용 의상 디자인 개발에 관한 본 연구가 웨딩 한류 관련 상품 개발의 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대하며, 이를 바탕으로 한류 패션 디자인 개발에 대한 연구가 지속되어 한류의 확산에 기여하기를 바라는 바이다.;The Korean Wave ‘Hallyu’ that is continuing as new Hallyu have proliferated worldwide based on various culture contents and contributed to the development of related industries and the enhancement of the nation's image. In China where Hallyu prevails, the rapid development of Internet accessible environment enables accessing to the contents of Hallyu real-time through various websites, which in the past were accessible only through TV. This has driven Hallyu to rapidly penetrate into Chinese daily life and following the Hallyu style is prevailing in China. Hallyu not only serves as positive drive as related industries grow and Korean companies enter into the global market, but also leads Chinese consumers to prefer Korean products. It has influenced Chinese wedding industry, which is forecasted to grow continuously in the future, and the tendency is remarkable especially in wedding photography. Chinese wedding related portals provide information related to Korean wedding photographs such as wedding photos of Hallyu stars, Korean studios, Korean wedding photography elements, citing ‘Korean style wedding photography’ as their wedding photography trend. Unlike the Chinese style wedding photography mostly with natural background, the Korean style wedding photography featuring unique concept, beautiful dresses and props has gained wide popularity among Chinese newly married couples as it is regarded fresh and trendy. As such, studios that claim to feature Korean style wedding photography are increasing in China, and the tendency is that Chinese newlyweds increasingly travel to Korea for wedding pictures every year. With widespread popularity of Korean style wedding photography, Chinese brides increasingly have interest in Korean style wedding photography, which creates new demand. Accordingly, there is urgent need to supply dresses for Chinese brides who want Korean style wedding photography. Against this backdrop, this study aims to develop and offer design for wedding photography dresses in order to meet the needs of Chinese brides. For the purpose of this study, which is the development of dress design for Korean style wedding photography, it has outlined the status of Hallyu as well as wedding industries found in China and examined the changes in Chinese wedding photography and wedding dresses used for it. Based on it, dresses for wedding photography of Chinese brides were analyzed, the features of design preferred by them were outlined, and wedding dress designs for wedding photography have been developed so that they can reflect Hallyu contents as well as 2012 S/S fashion trend as to wedding dress, evening dress, and casuals. The findings are as follows: First, it is found that as the development of Internet accessible environment in China enables accessing to the contents of Hallyu real-time, the influence of Hallyu is increasing all the more. These Hallyu phenomena lead to interest in and preference for Korean culture, consumers’ pattern, and products, and provide positive atmosphere for Korean companies’ inroads into overseas market as well as the enhancement of the nation’s image. Second, the Hallyu phenomena have also emerged in the Chinese wedding industry, and with the popularity of the Korean broadcasting program <We Got Married>, Korean style wedding photography is gaining wide popularity among Chinese newly married couples. Korean style wedding photography refers to the way in which the bride and groom in Korean style wedding dress are to take photographs under various settings of a Korean wedding studio. As the demand of Chinese wedding consumers on Korean style wedding photography is increasing, it is necessary to develop wedding dress design for wedding photography that may satisfy their needs. Third, prior to developing the wedding dress design for Chinese brides who want Korean style wedding photography, the study collected and investigated 525 wedding photos of 120 brides in order to identify the design features preferred by them. The result shows that those dresses preferred by Chinese brides for wedding photography included wedding dresses, evening dresses, and casuals in order, and partly featured traditional dresses, Mao suits, and swimming suits. A frequency analysis were conducted by itemizing design elements into silhouette, color, material, details, and trimming in order to identify design elements preferred to wedding and evening dresses. The preferred design elements to wedding dress were ball gown silhouette, white color, lacy looking material, strapless neckline, gather detail, lace trimming in order. To evening dress, ball gown silhouette, chromatic colors focusing on red, color mix, slick looking material, strapless neckline, gather detail, and belt trimming were preferred. As for the casuals preferred by Chinese brides, according to the categorization based on fashion image, the romantic style was most preferred, followed by casual style. The items preferred to the romantic style were skirts, dresses, T-shirts, and blouses, and featured by the wearing of tulle skirts and the use of patterns with a focus on flower motif. The casual style was featured by couple look and layered look, and T-shirts and pants were preferred items. Fourth, based on the results, dress designs for Chinese brides who want Korean style wedding photography were developed. Under the concept named ‘Romantic K-Bride’ that focuses on the image of a romantic Korean bride, the designs were made in wedding dress, evening dress, and romantic style casual, which accounted for high portions of dress for wedding photograph. According to the result of analyzing the wedding photography designs worn by Chinese brides, the portion of wedding dress was highest. However, for the purpose of the study, the portion of casuals, which were appropriate to cover Korean contents, was made higher. As for wedding dress, all the preferred design elements including ball gown silhouette, white color, tulle, lace material, strapless neckline, gather detail, lace trimming were reflected. To evening dress, ball gown silhouette, organza/lace material, strapless neckline, gather detail, lace trimming were used with mixed use of two or more colors to avoid the use of complicated colors for the overall unity. For casuals, the study has designed skirt, dress, T-shirt, and blouse, which are preferred as casuals, adding tweed jacket to create the atmosphere of Korean formal dress. Considering that design for casuals is greatly influenced by fashion trend, the study worked on items and colors by reflecting the fashion theme with romantic image of the 2012 S/S trends provided by trend information companies. As examined above, in order that domestic companies that expect to enter Chinese wedding photography market could enjoy a comparative advantage, it is necessary to identify the needs of Chinese newlyweds and offer differentiated wedding products. At this point in time when Korean style wedding photography is gaining wide popularity in China, the contents from Hallyu are considered as fresh and competitive item that may strongly appeal to Chinese consumers. As such, it is expected that this study that has focused on the development of design for wedding photography dress with Hallyu related contents will be used as reference for the development of Hallyu related wedding products. It further expects that it will contribute to the proliferation of Hallyu through continuous research for the development of Hallyu fashion design.
