DASE 시스템 테스트를 위한 MPEG-2 TS 형식의 테스트 데이터 자동 생성

Abstract

Recently, MPEG-2, the international standard of multimedia has been highlighted in every related industry area such as broadcast, household electrical appliances and communication. MPEG-2 standard is the compression technique for transmission or storage of audio, video and data, so its syntax is very complex. Therefore it is required not only much cost and time but also an expert knowledge to make test-data in the form of MPEG-2 standard. So we need to develop the automatic test-data generator to make test-data in the form of MPEG-2 standard. In this paper, we proposed techniques to generate test-data in the form of MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream) automatically, 'the automatic test-data generating technique using MPEG-2 TS standard data base' and 'fault-injection technique base on dirty data taxonomy'. These techniques generate test-data without any information on test target system. And using these techniques, we developed ATEP(Auto Test-data generator for Protocol standards) which generates test-data automatically to test DASE(Digital television Application Software Environment) system. DASE system processes MPEG-2 TS for digital television terrestrial broadcast. ATEP generates test-data for DASE system test in a few minutes automatically. So ATEP can reduce the cost and time to spend generating test-data manually, and help a novice who doesn't have any knowledge about MPEG-2 TS generate test-data easily.;멀티미디어 국제 표준인 MPEG-2 표준은 방송, 가전, 통신 등 모든 산업 분야에서 주목받고 있다. MPEG-2 표준은 오디오와 비디오 데이터를 압축하여 처리하는 기술이기에 그 형식이 매우 복잡하다. 따라서 이를 처리하는 시스템을 테스트 하기 위하여 MPEG-2 표준 형식의 테스트 데이터를 생성하는 것은 비용과 시간이 많이 소요될 뿐만 아니라 표준에 대한 지식이 없는 이는 거의 생성할 수 조차 없다. 그러므로 MPEG-2 표준 형식의 테스트 데이터를 자동 생성하는 도구의 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-2 TS의 테스트 데이터를 자동 생성하는 방안인 'MPEG-2 TS 표준 데이터 베이스를 이용한 테스트 데이터 자동 생성 기법'과 '오류 데이터 분류 기반 MPEG-2 TS 오류 삽입 기법'을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 테스트 하려는 시스템의 정보 없이 입력 데이터의 표준 정보만을 가지고 테스트 데이터를 자동 생성하는 기법이다. 그리고 본 논문에서 제안한 두 가지 기법을 이용하여 지상파 DTV(digital television) 방송을 위한 MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream)를 처리하는 DASE(Digital television Application Software Environment) 시스템의 테스트 데이터를 자동 생성하는 도구인 ATEP(Auto TEstdata generator for Protocol standards)을 설계하고 구현하였다. ATEP은 DASE 시스템의 시스템 테스트를 위한 정상 테스트 데이터와 다양한 오류를 삽입한 오류 데이터를 수분 내에 자동 생성한다. 따라서 ATEP은 수작업으로 테스트 데이터를 생성하는 데 드는 시간과 비용 노력을 상당히 절감하고 테스트 데이터의 신뢰성을 향상시키며, MPEG-2 표준에 관한 전문적 지식이 없는 이도 쉽게 테스트 데이터를 생성할 수 있게끔 한다.
