덩굴과 신경의 구조적 유사성을 나타낸 섬유조형표현

Abstract

인간은 삶을 영위해 나가기 위해 끊임없이 자신의 존재와 그 가치에 대해 의문을 품고 살아간다. 인간으로서 존재의 의미와 이해를 구하는 것은 자신이 주관하는 삶을 살기 위함이며, 나 자신에 대해 깊이 있게 성찰하기 위함이다. 본 연구자 또한 주체적인 자아로서 살아가기 위해 끊임없는 물음으로 진정한 가치와 정도(正道)의 길을 걷고자 하며 그 길은 삶의 시간이 다할 때까지 걸어가야 하는 것이다. 이러한 주체적 인간은 단순히 생물학적 기능만으로 살아가지 않으며, 경험을 통해 인지한 그 모든 것들을 자아의 내면세계의 의식작용에 반응하여 복잡한 삶을 영위함으로 존재하는 것이다. 인간은 개인의 사적인 경험에서 얻어지는 물리적인 현실에 적응하여 강력하지만 일상적인 감각, 인식, 사고, 감정 그리고 행동으로 대응한다. 자신에 대해 의식적으로 된다는 것은 자기 자신을 창조하려는 것을 의미한다. 예술은 이러한 점에서 인간이 자신의 존재를 인식하고 자아의 의식과 무의식의 조화된 능력을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있는 창작의 행위이다. 따라서 자기 자신에 대한 확고한 의식을 가지며 독창적인 예술세계를 표현하는 것은 예술가의 목표이자 자기실현이 되는 것이다. 본인 또한 이러한 자기실현을 위한 끊임없는 성찰의 과정을 제작 과정을 통해 깊이 탐구하는 시간을 가지게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 문헌조사를 통해 의식작용의 개념과 특성에 대해 고찰하여 보고 개인의 의식 작용이 이루어짐으로 내면적 갈등과 의지를 표현한 예술작품의 사례들을 통해 예술적 표현의 특성에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 또한 의식작용을 형상화하기 위해 덩굴이 자라나는 유기적 형태가 지니는 조형적 표현 효과와 그에 따른 구조적 의미에 대해 살펴보기로 한다. 또한 유기적 형태를 조형화한 작가들의 작품을 연구함으로 재료와 구조의 형태로부터 오는 조형적 효과에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 본인은 길을 다닐 때마다 마주친 담쟁이 덩굴의 유기적 형태를 보며 본인의 내면세계속의 의식작용이 뻗어가는 모습과 닮아 있다는 생각을 하게 되었다. 이에 따라서 덩굴의 유기적 형태는 본 연구자의 작품의 구조로 도입하였고 이를 통해 자아의 의식세계를 표현하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 ‘덩굴과 신경의 구조적 연구’라는 주제를 효과적으로 나타나게 하기 위해 철선과 철망, 양모와 재봉사를 재료로, 코일링과 꼬임기법을 이용하여 자연의 유기적인 이미지를 작품의 형태에 도입하여 의식과 의식의 형상들을 연결해 나가면서 만든 덩굴의 유기적 형태 이미지로 총 8점의 작품을 제작하였고, '덩굴과 신경의 구조적 연구'라는 주제로 연구 하였다. 내면의 세계를 표현하기 위해 이러한 재료와 기법 표현의 적합성에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 조형 활동의 주체로서의 연구자는 자아 성찰적인 의식세계를 표현하고자 하였으며, 이러한 조형 활동은 연구자에게 스스로의 존재인식에 대해 고찰하여보고 삶을 살아가는데 있어 용기를 가질 수 있게 하는 기회를 갖게 해주었다. 이 연구를 계기로 앞으로도 자아를 이해하는 새로운 시각을 가짐과 동시에 창의적인 예술 활동을 위한 깊은 사고와 탐구 의지를 가지고 독자적인 개성적인 조형언어를 찾기 위한 연구를 지속적으로 수행해 나가려고 한다.;Human beings keep questioning about their being and it value, while living. Seeking the significance of being and its understanding is for living a my own life and introspecting my own self. The researchers will also keep questioning and walking the correct path, to live my own life, and the path will continue until the time of life ends. Independent human beings live not only with biological functions, but exist by living a complex life by making what is perceived through experience respond to the reaction of consciousness of inner world. Human beings, adapting to physical reality from their personal experience, respond with powerful but usual sense, perception, emotion and actions. Being conscious about one's own self is creating one's own self. In this regard, art is the act of creation, enabling human beings to perceive their beings, and freely create the ability with blended unconsciousness and consciousness. Thus having clear consciousness about their own arts and expressing their own art world is the goal of artists and the self-fulfilling. This study aims to contemplate the concept and the characteristics of conscious action, through the investigation of literature, and investigate the characteristics of artistic expressions through the art works in which the conscious action has expressed inner conflict and wills. Also, this study will investigate the design effect of expression in the organic form of growing vine and its structural significance, to embody the conscious action; and also investigate the design effect from materials and structural form, by studying the artists' works in which the organic forms are designed. When I saw the organic form of the ivy that I met whenever I walked down the road, I thought to myself that it resembled the expanding of conscious action in the inner world of mine. Thus, I introduce the organic form of vines as the construction of my works, and through this, I will express the world of self-consciousness. In this study, to effectively present the subject, 'a study on the structure of vines and nerves', I produced total 8 works in the organic form images which were made by linking the consciousness and the forms of consciousness, through the introduction of the organic images of the nature to the works, by using coiling and twisting techniques with steel wire, wool, and sewing yarn. Thus, I will study the suitability of materials and the expression, for expressing the inner world. I, as the principal of design activities, tried to express the self-reflective consciousness, and through the design activities, I could have the opportunity to contemplate the perception of my being and have the courage for living. With this study as a momentum, I will have the new views for understanding the self and will continue my studies to seek the unique and personal design language with contemplation and wills to inquire for creative artistic activities.
