대학 등록금 조달 자료의 계층적 베이즈 추론

Abstract

In the last ten years Korean university tuition fee has been risen and it has been a social and political issue in Korea. National Statistical Office of Korea includes a few questionnaires about payment of tuition fee in "2010 Year Social Survey". In this thesis, the data is analyzed by using a Bayesian hierarchical model to investigate useful relations between a major source of tuition fee and some demographic variables. A binary variable which takes 1 if 70% of tuition fee is paid by parents and 0 otherwise as a response variable, and assumed a hierarchical probit model in which cities and states are considered as groups. A factor analysis is applied to reduce the number of explanatory variable and 5 variables are selected. An easy Markov chain Monte Carlo methods are implemented to get Bayesian estimates. The analysis results show that the household income is the most significant variable which affects the payment of tuition fee by parents.;대학 등록금 문제는 최근 사회적, 정치적, 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 통계청에서 조사한 ‘2010년도 사회조사’ 자료를 기반으로 대학등록금 조달에 대하여 베이지안 계층적 모형을 이용한 분석을 수행한다. 부모님으로부터 등록금의 70%이상을 지원받는 학생과 그렇지 않는 학생의 두 그룹으로 분류한 이항 반응 자료에 대하여 지역을 계층으로 하는 계층적 프로빗 모형을 가정한다. 요인분석을 통하여 등록금 조달에 영향을 미치는 설명변수를 선택하고, 지역을 계층으로 하는 계층적 프로빗 모형을 가정하여 지역적 특성을 고려한 분석을 수행한다.
