유아를 위한 구강 보건 애니메이션 표현연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 유아 3~6세의 미취학 아동을 대상으로 어린이가 재미있고 쉽게 접근하여 올바른 이 닦기 지식, 태도, 습관을 형성 할 수 있도록 유아 치아우식증예방을 위한 애니메이션 교육 자료를 개발하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 '올바른 이 닦기'를 주제로 한 애니메이션은 동물을 의인화한 주인공 알렉스와 세균들로 구성된다. 주제는 치아우식증 예방을 위한 이 닦기의 중요성을 일깨워 주기 위한 것이다. 플롯은 이 닦기를 싫어하는 알렉스가 이를 잘닦기 까지의 일상의 사건을 대구 형식으로 주고받는 식으로 구성되어 있으며, 더불어 입속에서 일어나는 세균에 대한정보 및 치과에서 바른 이 닦기를 배우는 학습 내용이 포함되어 있다. 애니메이션이라는 콘텐츠는 어린이들에게 친숙하게 다가갈 수 있는 효율적인 교육용 매체라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 올바른 이닦기 교육이 가장 효율적으로 실행 될 수 있는 장소인 치과에는 현재 대기시간이나 진료 시에 구강 보건과는 관련 없는 애니메이션을 보여주고 있다. 지금까지의 어린이 관련 구강 보건 교육은 소책자, 포스터, 리플렛 등에 국한되어 있었을 뿐이다. 이러한 현 상황에서 캐릭터 애니메이션을 활용한다면, 어린이 구강 보건 관련 교육에 높은 효과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 어린이 이 닦기의 중요성에 대해 강조하기 위하여 교육적 메시지가 효과적으로 전달되도록 스토리텔링하여, 학습 내용을 확보하는 것에 중점을 두었다. 어린이들에게 병원 및 보건소 및 교육현장, 일상적으로도 구강보건관련 콘텐츠가 제공된다면, 어린이 치아건강에 생산적이고 효율적인 교육 방법이 될 수 있을 것이다.;This study targets preschool children from 2 to 7 years old and aims to develop animated educational contents in order to prevent the formation of dental caries among children by providing easy access to fun material that teaches them the correct knowledge, attitudes, habits regarding brushing teeth. In this paper, we created an animated film of a story with the theme of “correct brushing” using animated animals and bacteria as main characters. The goal of the story is the prevention of dental caries by making them understand the importance of brushing. The main character, Alex is not fond of brushing teeth. He learns the importance of brushing after talking to the bacteria that live inside of his mouth after not brushing. Then he visits the dentist where he learns the proper way of brushing. This episode is made of the string of two-way conversation in the form of comments. Use of the animated film as the communication medium to children is thought to be the most familiar, thus the most effective, way to educate children. Currently, most dentists’ offices show videos that are irrelevant to oral health while young patients wait and get treated. So far, children ‘s oral health education has been done using only brochures, posters, leaflets, and etc. Using animations with characters will be very effective in raising awareness of the importance of brushing among young population. To emphasize the significance of brushing to the young population, we chose to use animated film so the message can reach them more effectively through story telling to ensure quality education. Showing this video to children when they are waiting or getting treated in the hospitals and health centers will contribute to the oral health of children in a more effective way.
