Ludwig van Beethoven Cello Sonata Op.69 No.3 in A Major에 관한 연구

Abstract

Beethoven은 고전시대와 낭만시대를 연결하는 작곡가로, 고전주의 말기에서 낭만주의 초기에 걸쳐 Cello Sonata 5곡을 작곡하였다. 약 20여 년에 걸쳐 작곡된 이 5곡의 Sonata는 양식상의 변화를 보여주고, 중주 곡으로의 면모를 갖추어 가는 과정을 잘 나타내고 있다. Beethoven은 같은 시대의 다른 작곡가들과는 다르게 J.Haydn과 W.A.Mozart 로부터 물려받은 전통적 양식을 바탕으로 감정적이고 주관적인 성향을 작품 속에 반영하였다. 이것은 후대 여러 작곡가들에게 많은 영향을 끼치게 되었고 또한 서양음악의 발전에도 많은 영향을 끼치게 되었다. 그의 Cello Sonata는 고전양식에서 벗어난 Beethoven 특유의 개성적인 자유로운 형식과 표현의 풍부함을 바탕으로 새로운 전통을 확립한 동시에 나아가서는 낭만적인 음악 기법과 미학적인 경향까지 암시한다. Beethoven이 작곡한 Op.69 No.3은 Vincent d´ Indy (1851~1931)의 작품 분류상 제 2기인 중기에 해당하는 유명한 작품으로 Beethoven 중기의 강력한 힘을 갖춘 충실한 내용과 정렬이 담겨있는 곡이다. Cello가 자유롭고 넓은 음역을 사용하게 함으로써 다양한 기교와 서정성을 보여주어 Cello의 역할을 증대시킨 곡이라는 점에 주목을 받는다. Piano도 이에 구애 받지 않고 서로가 대등한 연주를 하여 두 악기 사이의 개성차이로 인한 중주의 어려움을 완전히 극복한 작품으로 이중주 Sonata의 진정한 결정체임을 보여준다. 또한 이 곡은 앞의 두 Sonata에 비해서 훨씬 넓은 음역을 사용하였고 Cello 특유의 장중하고 품위 있는 음색을 잘 표현하며 음악적으로 다양한 기법을 나타내고 있다. 악장의 수나 형식도 초기 Sonata보다 안정된 모습을 취한다. 본 논문은 Beethoven이 작곡한 5곡의 Cello Sonata의 전반적인 특징을 살펴보고 Cello Sonata 중 가장 많이 연주되고 있는 No.3 Op.69를 올바르게 분석하고 이해함으로써 Beethoven 음악의 양면적 요소를 알아보고 Beethoven 음악의 전반적인 사상을 알고 성격을 이해하여 나아가 Beethoven의 위대한 공로를 다시 한 번 생각하고자 한다.;This thesis is purposed to understand the music of Beethoven widely by analysing an Op.69 No.3 in A Major which is one of the five musics of the Cello Sonata composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Ludwig van Beethoven was an important composer who connected the late classical to romantic period in music history. He composed with powerful expression of his personal emotion in his works, while expanding the classical style. He also revealed the great power of music by endowing philosophical meaning to his work to express the philosophy of life like no other composers of that period. Beethoven's Cello Sonata No.3 Op.69 was composed in 1808, it is the second period of Beethoven's writing in terms of dividing his music into 3 periods. This Sonata of Beethoven has an important place in music history for the fact that Beethoven uses much broader range of instrument, with much freer style, compared to the previous two cello sonatas in his first period. Ludwig van Beethoven as one of the most renowned composers of Classicism, was estimated completing the Classical Music and as a pioneer of Romanticism with his innovative composing technical methods.
