꽃을 소재로 한 코디네이트 텍스타일 디자인 연구

Abstract

Modern society seeking the future-oriented lifestyle due to the rapid industrial development had perceived the importance of nature by undergoing harmful consequences from materialism and serious environmental pollution. Returning to the nature was the instinct of human and the results of craving the comfort. To fulfill these desires, the natural environmental elements are introduced to the interior space. In the interior design, fabrics are the important materials for creating atmosphere and the elements reflecting the current trends and the users' preference. Thus, on this thesis, the author would like to deliver the natural comforts and sensitivities of flowers on fabrics to the exhausted modern people, and developed the coordinated textile design motivated by flowers to create moods and atmosphere in the internal spaces with various methods. This study was conducted as follows. First. the author analyzed the symbolic meaning and the formative characteristics centering chrysanthemums, peonies, and orchids as materials of design through many books, papers, publications and internet searching. Second. the author studied features and changes of floral textile design along the stream of times. Third. the author discussed concept, methods and features of the fabric coordination through the case studies. The author's works were conducted as follows. First. materials(chrysanthemums, peonies, and orchids) were designated by painting directly on the fabrics and printing from computerized design program. 4 works/group were produced respectively and total 12 works were produced. Second. painting is conducted directly on the fabrics using gesso and acrylic paints. Third. designing works with digital textile printing used computerized program after drawing the flowers as materials. Fourth. before printing the completed design using computerized program, proper fabrics and colors were chosen and the design was revised. Fifth. completed design were mapped for coordination on computers and maximized the effect of coordinating design. The results of this study were as follows. First. this study could find out the formative features and symbolism of chrysanthemums, peonies, and orchids and the meaning of flowers as the esthetic objects. Second. the author examined artistry and fabric industry with examining floral patterns along the stream of times and found the connectivities between modern floral designs and possibilities for developments. Third. the concept of coordination was established through examining fabric coordination. Through the cast studies of fabric coordinations, the author could get the wider perspective for the wider interior fields. Fourth. infinite possibilities of coordinate textile design were found due to development of fabric materials. Floral textile design has been studied for a long time because of its natural vitality and beauty. The materials and methods for the introduction of it to interior space were the coordinate textile design, which could create various atmosphere. It was very meaningful study to approach more professional fields of coordinate textile design based on the results of this thesis.;급속한 산업 발달로 인한 미래 지향적 라이프스타일을 추구하던 현대사회는 물질 만능주의와 심각한 환경오염으로 인한 폐해 등을 겪으며 자연의 중요성을 인식하게 되었다. 자연으로의 회귀는 인간의 본성으로 지친 현대인들에게 자연이 주는 편안함과 안락함을 갈구하는 본능에 가까운 결과이며, 이러한 욕구를 충족시키고자 실내 공간에 자연 환경의 요소를 도입하게 되었다. 실내 인테리어 디자인에서 패브릭은 분위기 연출을 위한 중요한 소재로 현재의 트랜드 및 사용자의 취향까지 반영되어지는 요소이다. 따라서 본 연구자는 패브릭을 통하여 지친 현대인에게 자연의 안락함과 꽃이 지니고 있는 감성을 전달하고자 본 연구를 시작하게 되었고, 실내 공간에 다양한 방법으로 연출이 가능한 꽃을 모티프로 한 코디네이트 텍 스타일 디자인을 계발하게 되었다. 본 연구는 다음과 같이 진행되었다. 첫째. 이론적 배경으로 꽃의 상징적 의미와 조형적 특징을 디자인의 소재가 되는 국화, 모란, 양란을 중심으로 관련 서적 및 논문, 간행물과 인터넷 검색 등을 통하여 연구하였다. 둘째. 플로랄 텍 스타일 디자인의 시대적 흐름에 따른 변화와 특징들을 연구하였다. 셋째. 패브릭 코디네이션의 개념을 고찰하고 방법 및 특징을 사례를 통하여 탐구하였다. 위의 내용을 바탕으로 다음과 같이 작품이 진행되었다. 첫째. 디자인의 소재가 되는 국화, 모란, 양란의 특징을 살려 디자인으로 계발하였는데 직접 직물에 페인팅하는 방법과, 컴퓨터 프로그램을 이용한 디자인을 섬유에 프린팅 하는 방법으로 그룹별 4점씩, 총12작품을 디자인하였다. 둘째. 페인팅 디자인 작업은 면직물 위에 직접 제소와 아크릴 물감을 이용하였다. 셋째. 디지털 텍 스타일 프린팅 을 하는 디자인 작업은 디자인의 소재가 되는 꽃을 드로잉 한 후 컴퓨터 프로그램을 이용하였다. 넷째. 컴퓨터 프로그램을 통하여 완성된 디자인을 프린팅 하기 전에 샘플을 통하여 적절한 소재와 색을 확인하고, 보정을 통하여 최종 디자인을 프린팅 하였다. 다섯째. 완성된 디자인들을 코디네이트하기 위하여 컴퓨터 작업을 통하여 매핑(mapping)하였고, 코디네이팅 디자인의 효과를 극대화 시켰다. 본 연구과정을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째. 미적 대상으로서 꽃의 의미와 국화, 모란, 양란의 조형적 특징 및 상징성을 탐구하고 그 의의를 얻을 수 있었다. 둘째. 플로랄 패턴의 시대적 전개 과정을 고찰하면서 당 시대의 예술성 및 직물 산업을 연구할 수 있었고, 현대 플로랄 디자인과의 연계성과 다양한 디자인의 발전 가능성을 찾을 수 있었다. 셋째. 패브릭 코디네이션을 고찰하면서 코디네이션의 개념을 확립할 수 있었다. 또한 패브릭 코디네이션의 방법에 따른 사례를 통하여 점차 광범위해지는 인테리어의 영역을 보다 넓은 시야로 바라볼 수 있었다. 넷째. 패브릭 소재의 계발로 인한 다양함으로 코디네이트 텍스타일 디자인 계발의 무한한 가능성을 엿볼 수 있었다. 자연의 일부인 꽃을 모티프로 한 플로랄 텍 스타일 디자인은 자연의 생명력과 아름다운 미적 요소가 충분한 대상이기에 오랜 세월 동안 연구 대상이 되었다. 꽃을 실내에 도입할 수 있는 소재 및 방법은 코디네이트 텍 스타일 디자인을 통하여 더욱 다양화 될 수 있었고, 디자인 컨셉에 따른 분위기 연출이 가능하였다. 본 연구자는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 하여 전문적 분야로 다가갈 수 있었다는 점에 의의를 둔다.
