드로잉 기법에 의한 패션일러스트레이션 연구

Abstract

패션일러스트레이션은 인체를 주체로 한 패션이미지를 표현하는 것으로, 과거의 패션일러스트레이션은 단순히 의복을 기록하는 역할을 담당 하였다. 그러나 오늘날 패션일러스트레이션은 패션디자인에 관한 관심이 집중되고 활성화되고 있기 때문에 표현에 있어서도 다양한 재료와 표현기법 그리고 그 영역이 확대 되어 지고 있다. 패션일러스트레이션의 표현방법에 있어서도 다양한 재료의 선택이 요구 되어 지고 의복이 지니고 있는 재질 감의 특징을 살려 시각적 효과를 높여주는 적극적인 표현기법이 의복의 이미지와 목적성에 부합되면서, 이미지 표현에 효과적 일 수 있는 질감표현의 방법을 연구해야 한다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 시각적으로 재질 감을 느낄 수 있도록 소재의 표현기법에 있어서 소재가 지니고 있는 표면의 특징적 질감을 대중에게 전달하고, 드로잉 기법에 의한 패션일러스트레이션을 통해 소재 이미지의 정확한 전달과 패션 이미지를 효과적으로 표현하고자 한다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법으로 전문서적 및 문헌 고찰에 의한 연구 분석을 토대로 패션일러스트레이션의 표현기법과 드로잉의 기법에 의한 패션일러스트레이션 그리고 패션소재와 재질 감에 대해 살펴보고, 국내외 사진자료와 인터넷을 통하여 패션일러스트레이션에 나타난 재질 감과 표현기법을 조사 • 분석하였다. 또한 소재의 디테 일한 부분과 사실적인 표현으로 작품의 완성도를 높이고자 부분적인 꼴라쥬 기법을 사용하고, 참고자료와 작가의 작품을 통하여 구체적인 방법과 효과를 연구하였다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 토대로 작품제작에 있어서 소재 표면의 특징적 질감 표현에 중점을 두어, 다양한 소재의 재질 감 표현기법을 중심으로 패션일러스트레이션 작품 총 10점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 드로잉 기법에 의한 패션일러스트레이션은 패션에 관계된 아이디어나 어떤 상징적 이데아를 시각화 시킨 표현으로서 패션조형의 단순한 도해에서부터 패션이미지를 나타낸 고도의 예술적 표현에 이르는 패션에 관한 일체임을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 패션일러스트레이션의 소재를 표현함에 있어서 시각적 재질 감을 사실적으로 표현하는 것은 결과의 재현의 수준을 넘어 아이디어를 구체화 시키고 다듬어 나가는 과정을 통해 아름다운 색채와 질감을 표현함으로써 새로운 기법과 동시에 예술성을 발견하는 영감을 얻을 수 있었다. 셋째, 소재의 재질 감 표현에 있어서 부분적인 꼴라쥬 의 사용은 채색 전 작가의 의도에 적합한 소재인지 여부판단이 가능하여 채색 이후 수정이 불가능한 단점을 보완하고, 실물의 입체감을 살려 패션 이미지를 효과적으로 전달할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 패션일러스트레이션의 표현기법의 영역을 체계화 함으로서 패션일러스트레이션의 효과를 극대화하여 예술적 가치를 높이고, 패션이미지를 효과적으로 표현 할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.;Fashion illustration is to express fashion images with the subject of the human body. In the past, fashion illustration served as simple records of clothes. Today, however, it adopts more diverse materials and expressive techniques and expands into a wider scope as more interest has been concentrated and activated in fashion design. There have been demands for more diverse materials in expressing fashion illustration, as well as researches on the ways to express the feel of a material to generate more effects as active expressive techniques to highlight the characteristics of the material quality of clothes and to enhance their visual effects correspond to the image and purpose of clothes. The purpose of this study is to deliver to the public the characterized texture of materials using various techniques that visually display their texture and to effectively and accurately express the fashion images of materials through hand-drawn fashion illustrations. For this purpose, this study discussed the expression and drawing techniques of fashion illustration and the materials and texture of fashion based on professional references and literature studies. Then, it used photographic resources and online information to survey and analyze the texture and expression of fashion illustrations. Also, collage technique was partially used to improve completion with more detailed and realistic expressions and more specific methods and effects were studied based on references and my previous artworks. Based on this theoretical background, 10 fashion illustrations were created by focusing on expressing the characterized textures of materials and applying various expression techniques. The following conclusions were drawn through the pieces: First, it was verified that hand-drawn fashion illustrations are the visualization of certain fashion-related ideas or ideologies and the entities of fashion that range from simple illustrations to highly advanced expressions of fashion images. Second, expressing the visual textiles realistically with subtle clolors in fashion illustration made it possible to discover artistic inspiration from the process of diversifying and refining ideas Third, partial use of collage made it possible to determine whether select materials fit my intentions to make corrections before coloring and to effectively deliver the images of fashion in 3D. By systemizing the expression techniques of fashion illustration, it should be able to maximize the effects of fashion illustrations to enhance their artistic values and to effectively express the images of fashion.
