노인 커뮤니티 센터 내의 단기보호시설 공간 디자인 연구

Abstract

최근 우리나라는 인구 고령화 현상이 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 노인 인구의 증가와 함께 노년기의 장기화, 경제적 빈곤, 질병과 건강관리 문제, 역할상실의 문제, 고독 및 소외문제, 노인부양 및 보호문제 등 다양한 형태의 노인문제가 발생하고 있다. 독거노인의 경우 가족과 떨어져 혼자 생활하므로 그로 인한 소외감과 삶의 만족도 저하 및 무력감은 일반 노인에 비해 더욱 심각하다. 노인은 나이가 듦에 따라, 일상생활에서의 활동이 부담스러워지고, 이웃이나 지인과의 교제의 기회가 줄어들게 되면서 노인들의 생활영역은 점차 자신이 거주하는 지역 이내로 제한되어 진다. 따라서 신체적, 정신적으로 쇠약해진 노인에게 집이라는 의미는 자신과 자신의 일상생활을 싸 안는 방패와도 같다. 자신의 신체적 결함이나 장애를 보완하기 위해 스스로의 정서적 만족을 위해 때로는 남에게 당당히 사회일원임을 내보이기 위해서 지역사회의 서비스 지원이 필요하고, 그들이 영위하는 삶의 질을 높여줄 수 있도록 문화적 공간의 지원도 되어야 하며, 당당한 사회일원으로서의 역할과 자신감을 잃지 않도록 노인들 간의 커뮤니티를 확대하여 노인들 스스로 갖고 있는 생각과 정서를 자극하여야 한다. 최근의 우리나라의 노인복지정책의 추이를 살펴보면 양로원이나 요양원 같은 시설보호 중심에서 가정봉사원 파견, 주간보호, 단기보호 같은 재가복지로 바뀌는 경향이다. 이는 노인의 인구가 매년 빠르게 증가하고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 노인 인구의 증가와 함께 노년기의 장기화, 경제적 빈곤, 질병과 건강관리 문제, 역할상실의 문제, 고독 및 소외문제, 노인 부양 및 보호문제 등 다양한 형태의 노인문제가 발생하고 있어 단순히 개인의 문제를 넘어 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 정부차원에서 늘어나는 사회적 문제를 케어 할 수 있는 시설이 절대적으로 필요하다. 노인문제 중 노인 부양 및 보호의 문제는 가장 시급하게 해결되어야 할 사안이다. 오늘날 자녀들의 노인 부양의식 감소로 노인들 역시 자녀에게 의지하지 않고 독립적으로 살아가기 원하고 있다. 노인을 모신다 하여도 부득이한 사유로 시설의 일시적 보호를 필요로 할 때가 많다 그러한 경우 지역사회 내에서 이러한 기능을 담당할 수 있는 곳이 필요하다. 또한 장기보호시설의 입소를 원하는 노인에게 시설의 환경을 미리 경험해 볼 수 있는 중간 역할의 시설이 필요하다. 지역사회 내에서 노인의 독립성을 유지하면서 가족과 이웃과의 교류를 쉽게 할 수 있는 지역 커뮤니티 시설과 보호시설이 결합된 새로운 형태의 복지시설이 계획되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역사회 내 노인 커뮤니티 시설과 단기보호시설의 필요성을 설명하고 이에 따른 두 공간이 결합된 시설의 계획안을 모색하고자 한다.;Our country the population becoming older in age actual condition is advanced recently quickly.
