주체적 만남 교육을 위한 서사성 적용 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 부버 (M. Buber, 1878~1965)가 제시한 ‘만남’의 의미를 덕 윤리의 서사 성(narrative)과 연관하여, ‘관계 맺음’의 중요성을 조명하고 이를 기본으로 교육에서 시사 하는 바가 무엇인지를 드러내고자 하였다. 더불어 도덕 교육적인 관점에서 인간의 근본적인 ‘관계 맺음’의 모습에 대한 올바른 교육적 의미와 적용방안을 고안해보았다. 부버는 우리 인간의 최초의 모습을 부모와 관련된 태아로 표현하여 인간의 근본을 관계 속의 모습이라 보고, 관계가 인간의 근본모습임을 강조하였다. 하지만 인간은 태어난 이후 관계를 점차 잊고, 자신의 존재만이 가장 근원적인 것으로 여기면서 살아간다. 이렇듯 자신이 세계의 중심이라는 생각에서 현대의 이기주의와 개인주의의 만연은 계속되어 가는 것이다. 이러한 현실 속에서 덕 윤리에 근거한 서사의 중요성과 서사 안에서 ‘관계 맺음’으로 인간이 존재하고 있음을 토대로, 매킨타이어의(A. MacIntyre) 덕 윤리의 서사성과 그의 서사성 안에서의 ‘만남’의 필연성, 서사의 주체들과의 ‘관계 맺음’의 중요성을 드러내고자 하였다. 인간이 공동체를 이루면서 살아가는 사회적 존재임은 자명하다. 또 태어남과 동시에 타인들을 만나게 되며 타인과의 관계 속에서 의미를 형성해나간다. 관계로부터 자유로울 수 없는 인간의 삶은 관계를 맺는 연속의 과정이며, 그러한 관계의 연속은 개인의 서사 안에서 이루어지는 필연적인 과정이라고 볼 수 있다. 서사로서 이해될 때 비로소 그 개인의 충분한 이해가 이루어질 수 있음을 매킨타이어의 덕 윤리의 서사성에 이론적인 고찰을 바탕으로 살펴보았다. 더불어 서사를 엮어가는 우리들에게, 서사 안에서의 관계 맺음이 필연임은 본 연구의 중요한 요점이 된다. 서사 안에서 필연적인 관계의 올바른 방향을 위하여 부버의 두 가지 근원 어(Grund-worte), ‘나-그것(Ich-Es)'과 ’나-너(Ich-Du)'의 이해는 우리에게 시사 하는 바가 크다. 전자는 비인격적인 관계로서 대상을 수단과 도구적인 존재인 ‘그것’으로 보는 것인 반면, 후자는 인격적인 관계로서 대상을 대상 그대로 인정하고 받아들이는 것으로 진정한 타인의 모습으로서 인격적인 주체인 ‘너’로서 받아들이는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 두 가지 관계를 기본으로 하여 현대의 문제를 부버의 ‘그것’개념으로 살펴보고 올바른 관계의 회복을 위하여 ‘나-너’의 ‘만남’의 올바른 관계 맺음을 살펴보았다. 논자는 이러한 부버의 ‘만남’을 개인의 서사성의 존중의 가치에 중점을 두어 올바른 도덕 교육의 방향성을 논의하였다. 서사를 적용한 진정한 ‘만남’의 교육은 학생을 학생 그대로 존중하여 목적적인 존재, 인격적인 존재로 보는 전인적인 교육이 될 수 있는 가능성이 열리게 된다. 더불어 타인을 대하는 바람직한 관계 또한 진정한 ‘만남’을 경험하게 하며 이는 공동체를 살아가는 우리에게 도덕성 회복과 상호존중의 인격적인 주체를 길러내는 사람의 됨됨이를 가꾸게 한다. 이를 기초로 본 논문에서는, 현재 도덕과 교육과정인 2007년 개정교육과정 도덕과의 내용 구성 과정에 대한 분석을 통하여 본 논문의 관계에 대한 해석과 현 도덕과 교육 과정에서도 관련성이 있음을 밝히었다. 이를 바탕으로 도덕과 교육과의 구성 원리인 ‘가치 관계 확대 법’은 다른 사람과의 더불어 조화롭게 살아가는 것을 기본으로 ‘나’ 와의 관계에서 비롯해 우리, 타인, 사회와 국가 민족, 자구 공동체와, 자연이나 초월적인 존재와의 관계로 확장시키고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 관계의 확장을 기본으로 하여 서사를 엮어가는 우리들에게 ‘만남’적용의 구체적 교수 학습 지도안 고안은 본 연구인 서사성이 적용된 ‘만남’교육 연구에 의의를 높였다. 이를 바탕으로 서사성에 기초하여 서사를 엮어가고 있는 우리들에게 ‘만남’철학을 구체적인 수업에서 실현할 수 있는 적용 방안을 함께 논의하였다. 이는 인지적인 차원에서 머무는 교육이 아닌 실천으로 향하는 실질적인 차원의 중요성과 함께 논자가 제시한 ‘생각확대 프로그램’, ‘만남 뜰’, ‘만남 카드’등을 통하여 학생들의 도덕성 향상의 구체적인 방향제시와 동기부여의 장을 마련할 수 있을 것이다. 이와 같은 ‘만남’ 철학을 기본으로, 도덕과 교육 안에서 그리고 공동체를 살아가는 우리들에게 현재의 문제점 시정의 올바른 방향 제시는 진정 성 함양의 교육적 중요성을 시 사 할 것 이라고 본다. 본 논문은 학생들로부터 ‘만남’의 교육으로 참된 관계 형성을 위한 삶의 방식을 갖게 함으로써 참된 삶을 창조해 나갈 수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라고 기대한다. 더불어 주체적으로 타인을 받아들이고 그 안에서 진정한 ‘만남’을 경험 할 수 있는 서사성적용의 진정한 ‘만남’의 관계회복은 교육이 나가야 할 중요한 방향을 제시할 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.;The purpose of this study is to determine what the current education is trying to suggest by utilizing the definition of “Encounter”, which was presented by Buber (Martin Buber 1878~1965), according to its connection with the necessary narrative of the virtue ethics. Furthermore, from the perspective on moral education, with the fundamental concept of establishment of human relationships, the study was designed to overview its significance and application. Buber emphasized that the relationship between the human fetus and its parents represents the foundation view of the human origin. However, after the birth, human beings forget the importance of the relationship and only acknowledge their basic fundamental existences. Thus, in the modern world, the ideals of selfishness, individualism and the belief that “The world revolves around me” continue to flourish. Based on A. MacIntyre’s definition of virtue ethics and the need for “Encounter” with other subjects, the study advises on the importance of establishment of relationships within the boundaries of the necessary narrative of the virtue ethics in the modern world. It is obvious that the human beings live together by establishing a form of society. They also, define themselves by establishing relationships between others. Those individuals continue to form their own values of narrative and virtue ethics through consistent encounter with others. Establishment of relationship is an on-going and necessary process which is conducted within in the realm of personal narrative ethics. The point of A. MacIntyre’s theoretical consideration was that the different individuals can fully understand one another only through narrative ethics. Buber’s two Grund-wrote, ‘I-It(Ich-Es)’ and ‘I-Thou(Ich-Du)’, helped us to understand the implications of inevitable relationships within the boundaries of narrative ethics. The former defines the target as an impersonal and instrumental object ‘it’, while the latter accepts and recognizes the target as a subject ‘you’ with its own character. On the basis of these two related problems of modern society, the study looked into the concepts of Buber’s ‘it’ and also in relation to establishment of correct relationships, it considered the concept of the ‘I-Thou’s ‘Encounter’. The study is focused on the future direction of the educational system in relation to the author’s personal narrative ethics which was based on Buber’s ‘Encounter’ values. The genuine education which bases its foundation on the true ‘Encounter’ recognizes the students as individuals with their own identity. Furthermore, it helps us to raise students with moral values and principles of mutual respect by allowing them to experience true ‘Encounters’. This becomes possible when we are able to direct the students toward true ‘Encounter’ from inevitable ‘Encounter’. This study through the analysis of current Korea moral education curriculum and the revised curriculum in 2007 signifies importance of moral and ethic contents within our educational system. The moral education based on this principle of ‘Expansion of Value Relationships’ demonstrates the expansion of relationships from ‘I’ to social and national communities, different ethnic origin and the nature. The study signifies the moral education and research of the ‘Encounter’ by applying educational lesson plans based on the expansion of the principle. This study while analyzing the relationship between MacIntyre’s true ‘Encounter’ and the inevitable ‘Encounter’, reveals the implications in educational system. By applying this principle in basic education, this study will help define and promote good moral sense and provide correct direction for moral education. Such as ‘Encounters’ in moral education based on the philosophy can lead the educational system in the right direction by rectifying the current problems. The study, which is based on ‘Encounter’, will assist students by providing them with proper guidance by establishing mutually beneficial relationships and will help them create meaningful life. In terms of moral education, accepting the initiative and experiencing true ‘Encounter’ will assist us in defining and recognizing the future direction for the educational system.
