L. v. Beethoven Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major op.24 Spring 에 대한 연구

Abstract

In this paper, the lifetime of a representative composer in the Classical period, Beethoven (Ludwig van Beethoven and 1770~1827) and one of his masterpieces, Violin Sonata in F Major Op.24 no.5 were studied. The purpose of this study was to improve understanding of his music by investigating the environmental factors affectinghis life, and to help performing his music through it's analysis. His character and personality that would affect his musical ideology, best viewed as "delight over adversity", his childhood that formed his character, teachers who influenced Beethoven, and the background and the status of musicians at that times were also reviewed. In addition, the musical structure of a piece of Beethoven's piano sonatas, Op.24 no.5 was analyzed and his creativity was evaluated. Considering the musical environment of the era that he lived, patronage from the court and aristocrat was absolutely necessary. Given the fact that Beethoven wasn't a genius like Mozart, and there were composers with different styles in Vienna in his early age, studying how the noble class's support on Beethoven would help him to become an indelible composer led to further understanding of his work and showed how an art genre like music can be the most pure but also the most humane at the same time. In addition, Analysis on how he improved musician's social status in time when the great musicians such as Haydn and Mozart were treated as servents of the court or the aristocracy showed Beethoven's contribution to expanding the base of the customers. Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 5 was composed in 1801 and consists of four movements. He constructed the music with contrasting themes, and created a new music structure through amalgamation of contrasting elements. It is free and lyrical for Sonnet, and the structure maintains the unity and harmony at the same time so that the musical effect and the musical structure balance each other. Based on the results of this study, the structure of each movement was analyzed, and his life as well as his music was investigated.;본 논문은 고전주의 대표적 작곡가 베토벤 (Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770~1827)의 생애와 그의 바이올린 소나타 제 5번 (Violin Sonata in F Major Op.24 no.5)을 연구한 것으로 당시 베토벤을 둘러싼 환경적 요인을 연구하여 그의 음악에 대한 이해를 높이고 작품의 분석을 통해 연주에 도움을 주는 것에 목적을 둔다. ‘고난에서 환희로’ 대표되는 그의 음악이상에 절대적인 영향을 주었을 그의 인품과 성격, 그 성격형성의 요인이 되는 어린 시절, 고전주의 음악의 대표 작곡가로 불리는 베토벤에게 영향을 주었던 스승들과 당대의 시대상 및 그가 확립한 음악가의 위상을 살펴보고 그의 10개의 바이올린 소나타 중 Op.24 no.5 의 악곡구조를 분석하여 베토벤의 창의성을 살펴본다. 오늘날 베토벤이 불멸의 작곡가로 불리게 된 것에는 물론 베토벤 자신의 재능과 노력이 가장 큰 역할을 하였다. 하지만 모차르트와 같은 신동도 결코 아니었고 베토벤의 빈 초기시절 비슷한 스타일의 다른 작곡가들도 있었다는 점에서 궁정과 귀족들의 후원이 그의 성장에 밑거름이 되었다는 점을 간과할 수 없다. 그 같은 후원이 베토벤에게 어떻게 작용하여 어떤 결과를 만들어 냈는지를 살펴보아 그에 대한 이해를 돕고 더 나아가 음악이라는 예술 장르가 정치, 사회적으로 어떻게 맞물려 발전하는지 고찰 해 본다. 또한 하이든이나 모차르트와 같은 대작곡가들조차도 궁정과 귀족의 하인과 같은 대우를 받던 당시 음악가들의 지위를 어떻게 재정립 시켰는지를 분석하여 그가 음악 형식이나 내용면에서뿐만이 아니라 음악의 소비층의 저변을 확대시키는데 일조했다는 점도 연구해보고자 한다. 베토벤의 바이올린 소나타 제 5번은 1801년 작곡되었으며 모두 4악장으로 이루어져 있다. 그는 명확한 대조를 이루는 주제를 갖고 소나타 형식을 구성하여, 대립적인 요소들을 하나로 융합시킴으로써 새로운 악곡의 구조를 구축하였다. 소나타 형식에 있어 자유롭고 서정적이면서도 그 전반적 흐름에 있어서는 통일성과 조화를 유지할 수 있는 형식과 그 형식을 통한 음악적 효과가 양 자 간 에 균형을 이룬다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 그의 음악과 생애에 대해 연구하고 각 악장별 구조를 분석하고자한다.
