유아 성폭력 예방교육의 효과에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아 성폭력 예방교육이 유아의 몸의 소중함 인식, 자신-타인의 부적절한 성적행동 인식, 성폭력 유발 상황 인식, 성폭력 상황 대처방법 인식에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 유치원 현장에서 성폭력 예방교육의 중요성을 환기시키고, 활성화시켜 성폭력 피해발생을 예방하고 성폭력 예방 및 대처방법을 습득할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적에 따라 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아 성폭력 예방교육의 효과는 어떠한가? 1-1. 유아 성폭력 예방교육이 몸의 소중함 인식에 영향을 미치는가? 1-2. 유아 성폭력 예방교육이 자신-타인의 부적절한 성적 행동 인식에 영향을 미치는가? 1-3. 유아 성폭력 예방교육이 성폭력 유발 상황 인식에 영향을 미치는가? 1-4. 유아 성폭력 예방교육이 성폭력 상황 대처방법 인식에 영향을 미치는가? 2. 유아 성폭력 예방교육의 효과는 성별에 따라 차이가 있는가 ? 본 연구의 연구대상은 실험집단은 서울시 성북구에 소재하고 있는 D초등학교병설유치원 만5세 유아 20명 비교집단은 서울 동대문구에 소재하고 있는 G초등학교병설유치원 만5세 유아 20명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구기간은 2010년 4월 5일부터 4월 21일까지 3주간이며 유치원에서는 3주간 12개의 교육활동을 전개하였다. 유아 성폭력 예방교육을 위해 교육인적자원 부(2006)의 “유아를 위한 성교육 프로그램” 자료를 바탕으로 대상유아의 연령, 지역사회의 특징, 유아의 관심과 흥미를 고려하여 수정․보완하여 실시하였다. 유아들의 성폭력에 대한 인식의 변화를 알아보기 위한 연구도구로는 유아 성폭력에 대한 선행연구(장 제 옥, 2001; 최경원, 2009)에서 사용한 검사 도구를 수정•보완하여 사용하였으며, 몸의 소중함 인식, 자신-타인의 부적절한 성적 행동 인식, 성폭력 유발 상황 인식, 성폭력 상황 대처방법 인식 4개 항목으로 구성되었다. 사전검사는 2010년 3월 31일부터 4월 2일까지 3일에 걸쳐 실험집단과 비교집단의 각 유아 20명을 대상으로 본 연구자가 검사방법을 숙지한 후 직접 참여하여 실시하였다. 사후검사는 2010년 4월 26일부터 28일까지 3일에 걸쳐 사전검사와 동일한 방법으로 실험집단과 비교집단 유아를 측정하고 측정결과를 기초로 성폭력 예방교육의 유무에 따른 집단 간의 차이, 실험집단 내 성별에 따른 변화의 차이를 알아보았다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 성폭력 예방교육을 실시한 결과 실험집단이 비교집단보다 성폭력 인식의 향상 정도가 높았다. 실험집단의 유아들은 성폭력 예방교육에 참여하면서 몸의 소중함 인식, 자신-타인의 부적절한 성적 행동인식, 성폭력 유발 상황 인식, 성폭력 상황 대처방법 인식 모두 비교집단보다 향상되었다 둘째, 실험 집단 내 성별에 따라 성폭력 예방교육의 효과에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과 모든 항목에서 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 분석되었다.;The purposes of this study are to call attention to the importance of preventive education of sexual abuse and to master methods for preventing sexual abuse and dealing with it in kindergartens by examining the effects of preventive education of child sexual abuse on children's cognition of preciousness of body, cognition of improper sexual behaviors by self and others, cognition of situation to cause sexual abuse and cognition of ways to deal with sexual abuse situation. For achieving these study purposes, some research problems were set up as following. 1. What are the effects of a preventive education of child sexual abuse? 1-1 Does a preventive education of child sexual abuse have effect on cognition of preciousness of body? 1-2 Does a preventive education of child sexual abuse have effect on cognition of improper sexual behavior of self and others? 1-3 Does a preventive education of child sexual abuse have effect on cognition of situation to cause sexual abuse? 1-4 Does a preventive education of child sexual abuse have effect on cognition of ways to deal with sexual abuse situation? 2. Is there any difference in the effects of a preventive education of child sexual abuse depending on sex? For this study, 20 of children who are full five years old and going to a kindergarten attached to D elementary school located in Sung-buk gu, Seoul city, were divided into an experimental group and 20 of children who are full give years old as well and going to a kindergarten attached to G elementary school located in Dong-dae-moon gu, Seoul city, were divided into a comparison group. Then, for 3 weeks from April 5th, 2010 to April 21st, 2010, 12 educational programs were carried out in those kindergartens. Based on data of 'Sex educational programs for children' published by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development in 2006 for preventive education of child sexual abuse, this study was modified and complimented in consideration of age of targeted children, characteristics of local community and their interests. In order to identify changes of children's cognition of sexual violence, an examination device devised in the previous study on child sexual abuse(Jang, je-ok, 2001; Choi, Kyung-won, 2009), was used after modifying and complementing it, and this study consisted of 4 categories such as cognition of preciousness of body, cognition of improper sexual behavior by self and others, cognition of situation to cause sexual abuse and cognition of ways to deal with sexual abuse. A pre-test was carried out targeting 40 children in experimental group and comparison group over the length of 3 days from March 31st, 2010 to April 2nd, 2010 after understanding the examination methods. A post-test was also carried out with the identical methods with a pre-test for 3 days from April 26th, 2010 to April 28th, 2010 in order to measure children's cognition in each group and to analyze differences of cognition of each group according to preventive educational program of sexual abuse and changes in cognition of sexual abuse in an experimental group according to sex based on measurements. As a result, the following findings were derived. Firstly, an experimental group had higher cognition of sexual abuse than comparison group after the preventive education of sexual abuse. Children in an experimental group all improved cognition of preciousness of body, cognition of improper sexual behavior by self and others, cognition of situation to cause sexual abuse and cognition of ways to deal with sexual abuse more highly than comparison group. Secondly, when examining the effects of preventive education of sexual abuse in an experimental group according to sex, there was no significant difference in all the categories.
