아동화의 표현적 특성을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션 연구

Abstract

현대의 패션 일러스트레이션은 대중문화와 미술표현 양식의 다양한 변화와 함께 새로운 표현기법으로 오늘날 패션 일러스트레이션의 면모를 더욱 풍부하게 하고 있으며 현대 패션의 다양한 분야 속 에서 점점 전문화 된 영역을 구축하고 있다. 19C말부터 현대회화에 있어서 아동화적인 요소가 종종 관찰되는데 이는 인간 본연을 원초로 하는 향수이며 형식을 벗어나서 본능의 욕구를 자유롭게 표현하는 자기 나름의 본질 탐구이다. 본 연구자는 자신도 여러 가지 문제에 부딪히고 많은 고뇌를 느끼는 현대인임을 스스로 자각 하며, 어린이의 순수한 시각을 통한 잘 다듬어지지 않은 형태를 표현하여 복잡한 현실을 살아가는 대중에게 잊고 있던 꿈들을 경험하게 함으로써 이들을 인간의 순수한 본성으로 회복시키는 예술적인 시도가 필요하다고 생각하게 되었다. 본 연구는 아동화의 표현적 특성을 응용하여 패션 일러스트레이션으로 표현하고자 하며 이러한 시도를 통하여 패션 일러스트레이션의 표현영역을 확대함으로써, 좀 더 독창적이고 예술성 높은 패션 일러스트레이션을 창조하여 더욱 효과적으로 패션 이미지를 전달하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 작품제작을 위한 연구의 절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동화의 개념과 발달단계에 따른 아동화를 살펴보고 아동화의 특성과 표현기법에 대하여 고찰하였다. 둘째, 문헌 조사를 통해 패션 일러스트레이션의 개념, 분류, 기능을 살펴보고 국내 외 사진자료 및 인터넷을 통하여 다양한 패션 일러스트레이션의 표현기법을 고찰하였다. 셋째, 아동화와 패션 일러스트레이션에서는 현대회화의 아동화적 표현을 알아보고 패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 아동화적 표현사례를 살펴보았다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 토대로 작품제작에 있어서는 아동화의 표현적 특성을 최대한 응용하는데 중점을 두어 패션의 문양을 아동들이 흔히 사용하는 표현기법을 사용하여 패션 일러스트레이션 작품 총 10점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 무한한 표현 가능성이 있는 전도식기(4～7세)와 도 식기(7～9세) 아동화의 특성을 분석하여 응용함으로써 아동화적 표현 성을 패션 일러스트레이션으로 구체화 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 전도식기와 도 식기 의의 아동화가 가지는 표현적 특성을 패션 일러스트레이션에 응용함으로써 대중으로 하여금 순수한 인간 본연의 감성을 생생하게 불러일으킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 아동화의 환상적이고 자유로운 화면구성과 원색의 엑센트로 서의 사용은 강렬한 시각적 효과를 주어 강한 메시지전달에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다 넷째, 아동화에서 흔히 사용되는 다양한 기법을 패션 일러스트레이션의 문양에 응용하여 예상치 못했던 시각적 효과에서 즉흥적인 창조적 본능의 표출과 함께 우연에 의한 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있었다. 다섯째, 현대의 패션 산업에서 청소년층이 점점 주요 구매계층으로 부각되고 있는바, 이들이 최근까지 그려왔던 또는 흔히 접했던 아동화의 표현적 특성을 패션 일러스트레이션에 응용하여 좀 더 자연스럽고 친숙한 회화적 감흥을 줌으로써 더욱 효과적으로 패션 이미지를 전달할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 아동화의 표현적 특성을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션이 시각적인 새로운 효과뿐만이 아니라 인간 내면의 본성을 깨닫게 할 수 있다는 점에서 새로운 시도가 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 아동화의 특성과 표현기법을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션의 선행사례가 거의 없어 앞으로 이에 대한 연구가 계속 필요하다고 사료된다.;Along with various changes in a fashion and a style of art expression, the modern fashion illustration enriches current fashion illustration fields with fresh new materials and experimental mind. And it has been constructing more specialized its own area among various fields and structures of the fashion industry. At the end of 19C, modern pictures showed a certain distinctive feature in children paintings. This expression is a kind of nostalgia for the human nature and a spirit of inquiry into human nature to freely express instinctive desire outside a form. As a researcher, I realized that I myself am a modern person who faced a lot of problems and felt agonies. Then I thought I should try some artistic attempts which make people back to their pure nature, by getting people living in a complicated reality experience their forgotten dreams with an expression of roughly shaped patterns through children's pure views. As a part of this research, I studied it in several steps. First, I looked into what the children painting are and then studied expression techniques and special features of children painting and some children paintings based on the child developmental stage. Second, I looked into the notion, classified catalogue and functions of fashion illustration and inquired expression pattern of various fashion illustrations via pictures from domestic and foreign data and the internet. Third, I looked into how the techniques of children painting in modern painting represent in fashion illustration and found some specific examples of children painting shown in fashion illustration. Against this theoretical backdrop, I created 10 pieces focusing on making the best use of children painting's expressive features that children usually love to do. The outcome of this study is as follows. First, I could embody internal sensitivity as an artist while making fashion illustration by using the children painting's feature which is infinitely expressive potential. Also while making the pieces; I have enjoyed fresh feeling by putting various expression techniques into them. Second, I put children painting's expressive features representing as self-centeredness, indifferent, dreamy, perspective and personified expressions into fashion illustration. As a result, I found out that this technique could vividly recall to human nature in many people's mind. Third. Splendid primary colors and fantastic and free composition of a picture created so strong visual effects that they were very effective in delivering a strong message. This shows infinite potential in fashion illustration. Fourth, As I applied a variety of techniques of children painting to pattern of fashion illustration, I could feel the creative instinct and the chance of fun thanks to unexpected visual effects. Fifth, importance of teenagers in fashion?industry has been increased as major customer class. Therefore, features of children paintings that most teenagers are familiar with could be applied to fashion illustrations to give more friendly and natural attraction and it would help delivering fashion image in more efficient way. In this research, I found out that fashion illustration using children painting expressive features not only give visually fresh effects but also help people feel human nature. And I think it can be a new attempt to art. In particular, there are few preceding cases in fashion illustration using children painting's expressive techniques and features. That's why I think some studies should be carried on from now on.
