북한가요에 나타난 여성상 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 광복 이후부터 2003년까지 창작된 북한가요를 통해 북한당국이 제시하는 여성상을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는『조선노래 대 전집』의 ‘광복 후 가요’ 가운데 여성을 역할을 형상화한 가요 67곡을 분석대상 자료로 선정하였다. 대상 가요를 바탕으로 하여 가사를 분석한 결과, 여성을 형상화한 가요의 내용을 노동 주제, 가정 주제, 군사 주제로 분류하였다. 이러한 세 가지 주제를 연도순으로 10년 씩 분절하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 북한당국은 당의 요구를 가요에 반영시켜 시기별로 요구하는 바를 이끌어내고자 하였으며, 이를 구현하는 수단으로서 가요를 활용하였음이 나타났다. 또한 이런 가요를 통해 의도하는 여성상을 주제별로 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한당국은 노동 주제 가요를 이용하여 여성 노동자에게 여성스러우면서도 혁신적인 노동자의 모습을 지녀야 할 것을 제시하였다. 이러한 여성상을 통해서 혁신적 노동자상이 전형화 되도록 교양시키는 것이다. 둘째, 북한당국은 가정 주제 가요를 이용하여 여성에게 혁명적 군인가정을 만들어 나가는 여성의 모습을 이상적인 여성상으로 제시하였다. 이러한 여성상을 통해 군사 가정화를 촉구하는 것이다. 셋째, 북한당국은 군사 주제 가요를 이용하여 여성군인에게 군복무를 자랑스럽게 여기고 선도적인 모습을 갖추어야 할 것을 제시하였다. 이러한 여성상을 통해 자긍심을 창출하고, 모범적이며 선도적 역할을 제시하는 것이다. 이와 같은 여성상을 노래하는 가요의 특징을 세 가지로 정리하면, 조건제시적 서술구조와 회상적 구조를 지니며, 관습적 상징을 사용하며, 악상 표를 주제별로 차등화 시킨다는 점으로 요약할 수 있다. 가요에서 형상화된 여성상은 북한당국의 현실적 요구를 그대로 담고 있었다는 점에서 시기에 따른 요구가 반영되어 있는 것으로 보아야 한다. 북한당국은 가요에서 형상화된 여성상을 수용하도록 촉구함으로써 여성들이 일상생활에서 당국이 제시하는 덕목과 역할을 수행해야 한다는 점을 시사하고 있었던 것이다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze the feature of women suggested by North Korean regime through popular songs of North Korea created after the independence in 1945 until 2003. This study has selected 67 pop songs, which have configured the role of women among 'pop songs after the independence' of 『Great Collection of Joseon Song』, as the target data of the analysis. As the result of analysis based on the target songs, the contents of configuration of women were classified into labor subject, home subject and military subject. These three subjects were grouped per 10 years in the sequence of years for the examination. As the result, North Korean government tried to induce what they wanted per period of time by reflecting requests of the political party of North Korea and it was found out that North Korea had utilized songs as a mean to realize this. In addition, summary of feature of women per main subject North Korea had intended to achieve through these pop songs is as below. First, North Korean regime had suggested by using pop songs with labor subject that women laborers should have feminine feature while maintaining the feature of innovative laborers. North Korea had cultivated and trained to have feature of innovative laborers to become the standard through this feature of ideal women. Second, North Korean regime had suggested the feature of women who built revolutionary military homes as an ideal feature of women by using songs of home subject. North Korea had pursued military homes through this feature of women. Third, North Korean regime had suggested by using pop songs of military subject that women soldiers should feel proud of serving military and maintain leading feature. North Korea had created pride and had suggested a role model and a leading role through this feature of women. Summarizing the characteristics of pop songs, which sing the feature of women like this, into three categories, it can be summarized that the songs have describing structure of suggestion of conditions and remembering structure and melodic subject table was differentiated by using customary symbolism. It shall be regarded that requests according to the period of time were reflected as configured feature of women contained in pop songs had contained realistic requests of North Korean regime. It was implied that North Korean regime had requested women to carry out virtue and roles suggested by North Korean regime in their daily life by encouraging and promoting North Korean women to accept the feature of women configured in pop songs.
