도시 지하 문화 공간디자인 연구

Abstract

미국의 유명 저널리스트 앨런 와이즈먼이 쓴 ‘인간 없는 세상’에서 서울은 ‘거대 괴물 도시’로 표현되어 있다. 현재 우리의 도시는 과밀한 인구와 무분별한 확장으로 인해 심미적 불편함마저 느끼게 한다. 그러나 심미적 불편 함까지는 차치하고라도 심각한 교통난과 공해문제, 턱없이 부족한 녹지 및 휴식공간, 문화 및 교육공간의 확보만큼은 이제 더 이상 방치할 수 없는 문제로 부상했다. 오래 전 지구상에 등장한 인류는 도시발달과 함께 문화, 예술을 꽃피웠다. 강과 평야 곳곳에 흩어져 살던 사람들은 이해관계와 편의성을 따져 물으며 도시를 건설했으며 많은 사람들이 도시로 이주하면서 새로운 도시가 등장하기도 했다. 도시에는 새로운 바람이 있었고 다양성을 추구하기에 적합했으며 인공과 자연의 적절한 조화가 사람들을 안락하고 아늑하게 만들었다. 도시는 단순히 경제적 욕구를 충족시키는 장소로 그치지 않고 찬란한 문화, 예술의 요람으로서 역할을 톡톡히 해냈던 것이다. 그러나 과학의 발달과 산업혁명은 인구증가를 야기했고 경제, 사회 문화의 급속한 변화를 초래하였으며 급 가속 페달을 밟았다. 계속해서 몰려드는 인구를 수용 하다 보니 아름다운 자연경관은 뿌리 뽑히고 철근 콘크리트로 뒤덮인 흉한 몰골만 두드러지게 된 것이다. ‘삶의 질’이 인간의 행복을 추구할 수 있는 권리에 응당 포함되어야 하기 때문에 도심 공간의 활용은 우리 모두의 관심사로 대두되었다. 도심공간 활용의 필요성은 계속 증대되는 추세이지만 팽창된 도시공간과 지가상승으로 인해 전망이 그리 밝지 않다. 본 연구는 도시 공간 이용의 효율화, 입체화를 위한 해결안을 제시하고자, 21세기에 새롭게 부상하고 있는 대안으로 지하공간을 제안하고 문화의 기능을 갖춘 실내 환경 디자인에 초점을 맞추도록 한다. 현재 지하공간은 효율성과 개발 잠재력으로 인해 도시문제를 해결할 수 있는 실제적인 대안으로 각광을 받고 있다. 기존의 공간 활용과 차별화하며 지상에는 녹지를 지하에는 문화공간을 가진 공간디자인은 현대인들의 낙후된 삶의 질을 높이며 정신적 심리적 여유를 갖게 할 것이다. 지하 공간은 부족한 도시공간의 해결책으로 무분별한 확장에 따른 도시문제를 해결하고 지상의 개발을 억제하며, 환경과 경관을 보존할 수 있다. 숨겨진 자원인 도시의 지하공간을 개발하여 녹지와 문화의 기능을 가진 지하 문화공간의 가치를 재조명하고 활용을 제안하였다. 또한 지하보행공간의 한 개념으로 그 공간을 사용하는 사용자들에게 전시기회를 부여하고 지상과 지하를 혼합하여 같이 발전하는 기회를 줄 것이다. 이러한 도시 지하 문화공간의 연구 및 개발은 도시민들의 삶의 질을 높여주고 도심 속 실질적으로 이용 되어지는 문화공간이 될 것으로 기대된다.;Seoul (included with metropolitan area) in ‘The World without Us’ written by Alan Weisman who is famous journalist in Unite States was expressed as ‘Giant monster city’. Our city currently provides esthetic discomfort by overpopulation and imprudent expansion not only in Seoul but also in other cities. However, those problems such as traffic congestion and pollution, vastly insufficient green zone and places for relaxation, securing spaces for culture and education cannot be neglected no longer in spite of bearing the esthetic discomfort. Humankind which has been appeared on the face of the earth long time ago flourished the growth of cities with culture and the arts. People scattered over the places of river and plain built cities with providing reasons why it is required and appeared new cities because numerous people moved over the cities. The cities brought a fresh breeze and fitted for pursuing diversity. The places provided people comfort and cozy as harmonizing the artificiality with nature. A city lived up to its role as a glorious civilization and a cradle of the arts as not to stop its role in a place to satisfy the simple economic demand. However, scientific development and industrial revolution caused rapid change in economy and social culture and a modern city stepped on the accelerator. As continuously accepting population which swarmed around, beautiful landscape was rooted out and hideous face of landscape was left covered with steel concrete. Utilization of civic space arouses a social interest issue to all of us as we have a right to pursue happiness for better life, namely, for ‘quality of life’. The civic space has been expanded up to the maximum value and brought to high land price which has been pointed out for main reason to the land sufficiency per capita compared with population. This study focused on the interior environment design with cultural function as suggesting utilizing the underground space which has been aroused the issue for 21st century alternatives to recommend solution for efficiency and stereogram of utilizing the civic space. The underground space has been highlighted for practical alternatives able to solve the civic problem for efficiency and developmental potential. As overcoming conformity of art space, I will suggest art space with cultural design in underground different from green zone on the ground and will recommend new way of space utilization different from ones previously used. If open space is created on the ground giving with cultural function in the underground space to provide a cultural place in a civic space, then a retarded quality of life of contemporary man will be increased and psychological and mental composure will be improved. The open space on the ground corresponded to the securing the cultural space as utilizing effectiveness of underground space is able to provide pleasant life to people who live in limited civic space. The underground cultural space as a solution of insufficient civic space solves urban problem which caused by imprudent expansion of city, restrains ground development and is able to preserve the environment and landscape. A value of underground cultural space sheds new light and recommends a way of utilization which has a function of green zone and a cultural function as developing underground space of city known as hided resources. Moreover, the underground place gives an opportunity to hold an exhibition to people who uses the space for transferring path as one of the concept of underground walking space and gives an opportunity to develop linked the ground with underground. Those research and development of urban underground cultural space enhances quality of life for oppidan and is expected cultural space to be practically used by people live in downtown.
