융합형 화훼디자인 교육과정 모형 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 점차로 세분화, 다양화되어 가는 환경에 적응하면서 화훼디자인의 가치를 실현하고, 학문적 체제를 확립시키기 위한 질적이고 체계화된 교육 프로그램을 개발하는데 있다. 21세기에 들어서서 세계는 경제적. 문화적 측면에서 획기적인 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 특히 인간의 감성과 욕구를 충족시켜주는 문화예술의 중요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 1960년대부터 교양이나 취미활동으로 활발하게 보급되기 시작한 우리나라의 화훼디자인은 1970년대 말 정식으로 정규대학의 대학원에 화훼디자인 전공학과가 개설되었다. 현재 20개 이상의 2년제 대학과 4년제 대학, 대학원에 화훼디자인관련 전공이 개설되어있다. 이를 통하여 화훼디자인이 학문의 한 분야로 인정받게 되었고, 학문적 정립을 위하여 다양한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이에 따라 많은 전문 인력들이 배출되고 있다. 점차로 세분화되고 다양화되어 가는 환경에 적응하기 위해서 질적이고 수준 높은 교육이 요구된다. 화훼디자인이 전문 영역으로 그 가치를 정립 하기 위해서는 화훼디자인의 개념과 특성에 맞는 교육 안이 연구되어야 한다. 뿐 만 아니라 빠른 속도로 다원적이고 다양하게 변화해 가는 현대와 미래의 사회에 적응할 수 있는 적합한 인재양성을 위해서 융합적인 교육 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 화훼디자인의 융합적 교육이 궁극적 목표를 실현하기 위해서, 질적인 향상과 현대사회가 필요로 하는 효율적인 인재양성을 위해서는 반드시 체계적인 교육이 전제되어야 한다. 이러한 교육에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 국내•외 서적과 학위논문, 학회논문집, 정기간행물 등의 문헌 중심으로 발췌하고 인용하였으며, 국내•외 교육기관의 교과과정과 교육목표를 파악하기 위하여 인터넷 검색자료를 사용하였다. 연구결과 화훼디자인이 더욱 발전하기 위해서는 이론의 재확립이 이루어져야 하며, 타 기초디자인 분야들과의 연계를 통하여 화훼디자인의 영역을 확장하여 사회 각 분야에 새롭게 적용하려는 시도가 필요하다는 것을 알았다. 지금까지의 교육이 기존의 화훼디자인의 속성과 특성을 부각시키기 위한 교육이었다면 현재부터의 교육은 다양한 분야를 통한 총체적 접근을 시도 해야 한다. 일반적으로 화훼디자인에 있어서 관련 학문이라고 하면 주로 원예학과의 연계를 떠올리게 된다. 좀 더 그 영역을 넓혀 가면 사진, 컴퓨터, 마케팅 정도이다. 그러나 이제는 심리학, 철학, 생태학, 문화인류학, 경영학 등 마케팅, 유통분야에 접근하는데 도움을 주고, 디자인 윤리와 환경친화교육, 사용하는 재료의 특성에 대한 연구 분야, 제품과 포장 등에서 파생되는 재료와 에너지 문제를 해결할 수 있는 분야의 학문들이 융합된 교육을 준비해야 한다. 이러한 교육을 통한 다양성에 기반을 둔 지식역량의 확보가 화훼디자인의 위상을 결정하게 될 것이다. 사실 교육내용은 과도하고, 그 많은 양을 진행하기에 교육기간은 짧다. 더구나 획일적인 교과과정 운영으로는 질적 심화를 이루기 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 산학협동실용교육이 실시되어야 하는데 이는 두 가지 방법으로 이루어질 수 있다. 우선 기초실기교육은 사교육에 위탁하여 이루어 짐으로서 시간을 절약할 수 있으며 대학에서의 심화교육에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 두 번째로는 산업체에서의 실용교육을 통해 현장 감각을 익히고 기술적인 능력을 숙달시킬 수 있으며 대학에서의 교육은 사고력과 창의력 중심의 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 이러한 분석에 의거하여 화훼디자인의 특성과 현대의 교육, 디자인 분야의 흐름을 전제로 하여 융합적 시각으로 본 화훼디자인 교육과정 모형을 제시하였다. 각 학문 간의 총체적 접근을 통하여 화훼와 디자인, 교육이 서로 유기체적 통합을 이루게 함으로써 앞으로 화훼디자인교육이 나아가야 할 방향을 포괄적으로 제시해 보았다. 다음의 연구로는 화훼디자인의 특성을 실현시키고 현대와 미래사회를 수용 할 수 있는 각 교과과정에 대한 심도 있고 구체적인 연구가 이루어지기를 기대하며, 본 연구가 미래에 화훼디자이너가 되려는 많은 인재들을 위한 더욱 훌륭한 모형을 개발하기 위한 기반을 제공하는데 그 의의를 둔다.;The main aim of this study is developing a high quality and systematical education program to adapt to the diversifying environment, to fulfill the goal of the floral design, and to establish a academic system. The world has witnessed a drastic change in economic and cultural areas in the 21st century. Especially, the importance of cultural art as a tool to meet the sensitivity and needs of human. In Korea, floral design has been started as culture and hobby in th 1960s. By the end of the 1970s, regular programs on the floral designs have been established in post-graduate course. At present, more than 20 programs are open in junior college, college, and post-graduate level. Thus, floral design is recognized as a regular discipline, several researches are carried out to strengthen academic foundation, and many professionals have been graduated from the programs. To adapt to the diversifying environment, it is needed to develop a high quality education program in the area of the floral design. To do that, an educational plan that meets the concept and characteristics of floral design should be developed. In addition, floral design should enlarge its area by applying transdisciplinary research approach which can aid to maximize the diversity and openness of the study. To accomplish it, it is required to establish a systematic education program. To understand the necessity and concept of floral design education, research works from the books (both domestic and abroad), theses, conference proceedings, and journal articles from related fields are studied. Also, to identify the curricular and educational goals of academic institutions, information from the world wide web are searched. Based on these materials, it is found that to further develop floral design it is essential to reestablish its theoretical background, enlarge the realm of floral design by transdisciplinary connection with other basic design disciplines, and apply the newly enlarged concept of flower design to other areas of social structure. In other words, the new education of floral design should take a holistic view while the present one is taking an education to highlight the attribute and characteristics of floral design. Generally, the major related field of floral design is thought to be horticulture. If we extend the related field, these are photography, computer science and engineering, and marketing. However, with the holistic view, transdisciplinary education should be prepared that includes a part on marketing and distribution such as psychology, philosophy, ecology, cultural anthropology, and management, a part on design ethics, a part on the characteristics of the objects, and a part on environmentally conservation such as eco-friendly education, waste reduction and energy conservation during production and packing. Capacity building based on the transdisciplinary education will improve the status of the floral design program. There are several difficulties to achieve this goal. Some of these are too many classes and too short study period in the curriculum, and uniform education system. To solve these problems, a practical education based on an education-industry cooperation system should be implemented. The practical education can be accomplished by two step approach. First, the basic practical education can be carried out by private sector. By doing so, regular school can devote to more in-depth education. Second, by carrying out practical education in industrial sector, students can learn on-site experience, develop technical knowledge. In this way, regular academic program can devote for the students to develop the ability of logical thinking and creativity. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of floral design, modern education, and design trend, a transdisciplinary floral design education model is developed.
