Sergei Prokofiev의 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a에 관한 분석 및 연구

Abstract

러시아의 대표적 작곡가 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev, 1891-1953)는 뛰어난 재능과 독창성으로 현대음악사에서 중요한 위치를 차지한다. 그가 활동했던 20세기 전반기의 러시아는 정치•사회적으로 혼란한 시기였고 음악 세계에서도 여러 가지 다양한 사조들이 새로이 출현하였다. 프로코피에프의 작품세계는 크게 망명 이전과 망명 기간, 그리고 망명을 청산한 이후의 소련체제하의 작품, 이렇게 세 시기로 나누어 생각해 볼 수 있다. 그는 20세기 음악의 난해함을 고전적인 기법을 통해 해결하고자 하는 신고전주의 경향을 지지하였고, 그의 특징을 드러내는 다섯 가지 기본적인 음악어법을 사용하여 영화음악에서부터 오페라, 교향곡, 협주곡, 소나타 등 다양한 장르의 작품들을 작곡하였다. 그의 작품인 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a 는 본래 플루트를 위해 쓰여진 곡이었지만 이듬해에 바이올린 곡으로 편곡되었다. 총 4악장 구성으로 전체적인 양식 면에서는 고전적 소나타 형식을 벗어나지 않는 신고전주의 작품이지만 내용면에서는 서정적 선율 속에 유머 스 러 운 특징들과 대담한 화성 및 생기 있는 리듬과 함께 구성되어 있는 것이 특징이다. 본 논문은 프로코피에프가 활동하던 시대와 그의 생애, 음악적 경향을 살펴보고 그의 걸작 중 하나인 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a를 분석하여 그의 음악 세계를 이해하고, 나아가 이론적 바탕 위에서 연주의 질을 높이는 데 있어서 도움이 되고자 한다.;The followings are analysis of Sergei Prokofiev and his work “Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a” In the transitional period between late romantic and early modern era, his pieces recognized as revolutionary music. However, the confusion he faced during transitional period was reflected in his music by representing along with completely different and opposite elements. For example, sense of modernity was found in classical style. At the same time, soft and beautiful atmosphere and wild and powerfulness coexisted. Like this, he pursued revolutionary and creative style by blending traditional materials with modern classical idioms. Prokofiev especially emphasized the five major parts; classicality, renovation, dynamic toccata style, lyricism and humor. In order to study his compositional style more thoroughly, I’ve analyze Violin Sonata No.2 Op. 94a. For this piece, Prokofiev uses classic sonata form, maintaining the basic properties of standard form, yet lets his own voice stand out through alteration and manipulation in a modern manner. This sonata consists of 4 movements. The first movement follows the typical classic sonata form; exposition, development, recapitulation. However, the second movement reflects lively scherzo style that goes against the typical and usual form of slow music. The third movement is in tenary form with rhythmic pattern which adds poetic feelings to the piece. The fourth movement is composed of the Sonata Rondo form. One cannot define Prokofiev’s music by analyzing “Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a” which is only one of his numerous works. Nonetheless this piece describes well the new revolutionary style of sonata that combines both classic sonata forms with Prokofiev’s 5 major musical expressions. Prokofiev could achieve original and effective expressions and feelings through his innovative music. His messages through his music still influence 20th century contemporary music.
